Very biased review/information site with a pushed narrative

a Very Biased review/information site.

You can tell if something is sponsored and not an authentic review, also it's very clear to the reader that they're extremely biased towards Sony/Playstation, it's sad to see as a general gaming fan it's hard to fight past the pushed narrative.

IGN has the most intrusive ads

Loved ign, but over the last 5 years their ad policy has become the most intrusive in the gaming industry, so much that u cannot even scroll down the page without it stuttering, reloading, ads auto playing. It’s basically greed, if u need that many ads to keep going, ruining your customer experience, then hey, lower your outgoings/employees/greedy shareholders etc so you can deliver a half decent service. Most of the decent reviewers have lefts it won’t hurt the business if you let a lot of them go. But hey, greed will always come first, especially for American companies

No thank you.

Some reviews on games just don't make sense at all, looks like they were written by complete amateurs, its baffling sometimes. Most reviews are either extremely biased or just straight up wrong with pretty hilarious reasons. It seems the site favours corporations over the actual gamers.

Reviews a game 4/10 (Cyberpunk)

Reviews a game 4/10 (Cyberpunk), because certain systems can't handle it, "Xbox one & ps4" (base consoles). Gives no review of the actual game itself, story, game mechanics, world, character building, etc. Sure it has bugs & glitches that need to be addressed, which are all fixable. That's like reviewing a new car and giving it a 0/10 cause it didn't have gas in it...

IGN gave Fortnite a 9.6/10. Why?

IGN is paid to make reviews of games by the game company. Their taste just seems off. They gave genuinely good games a low score while games that are low quality a high score.

They forgot who is their ultimate…

They forgot who is their ultimate source of income, their customers (readers). Instead they have sided with the big corporations and betrayed their customers through corruption and gave Last of Us 2 a 10 when it clearly does not even deserve such score.
Who is the loser? Us the people who try to get the true opinion of a game before we buy. IGN also loses because not only I will never use or read their site again but I will voice my opinion on all my friends and family to also not use their sites.

This game is a product of Misleading…

This game is a product of Misleading advertising, in a moment of crisis to the world.
When a company like IGN gives 10/10 to "The last of us" part 2, it only means one thing: THEY WERE PAID to give that review to the game.
Naughty Dog basically stole ideas from several different games or movies:
1 when you are detected, the sound is the same as "Thief Deadly Shadows" ;
2- story - they kill an important character of the game with a head smash like Negan does at "The Walking Dead. At least they changed to a golf club...
3 The walkers come from" Dead Island"
4 Swimming pools and some prefabs are the same as the ones on "Fallout 4" and the scenarios in many ways are just like "Red Dead Redemption ".
5 Not to mention that from the beggining they just copied everything from "Uncharted" to make "The Last of us".
When you're aiming, your character walks in that direction. This is annoying and for a game "10/10" is not acceptable! They should have made the difference for the others!
I believe this is a bug that nobody can fix?
The only incredible thing in this game, are the graphic details and a decent game mechanic.
For this, it should get a maximum of 6/10.
If you think about the emotional side of the characters, it makes me sick. Basically the "modern world" where two girls fall in love and go for an adventure of revenge together.
Seriously, is this the best you can do?
Sorry, this game is only a 5/10.

Seems ign hires journalists instead of…

Seems ign hires journalists instead of gamers to review games since of late and they have a biased point of view.
To be able to write an article about à game you should have played à lot of them. Some games seriously dont deserve their ratings and are uterly underrated cause they are not triple A games.
Just take "dead cells" review for exemple and you Will clearly see they hire any bunch of low lives.

I got IGN has fallen a lot over the years, I have used the site to look at games before I buy them some of the reviews have been spot on, but others.....not so much. After the half assed review of the remake of RES 2 in witch they complain about both Leon and Claire story being the same with no difference in the game, completely forgoting to play the new game second run mode. Why do I trust I sure that can't even fact check the product they put out? I am also just tired of the spoilers of the walking dead and every other mainstream TV series which I have interest in.
