Ridiculous enforced policies
Keeps constantly forwarding me to my local IGN when I click a link. If I change the region, it takes me to the homepage and I lose the article. Thanks, IGN.
Look elsewhere!
Anything online, reviews, news, and podcast. Stay away. IGN is one of gamings most recommended and recognized names but if you've been around gaming for any type of time if you know you know. In my 40 years alive I don't know which is worse for unbiased, honest, and correct information, Gamestop or IGN.
Clueless

This is the least trustworthy review…
This is the least trustworthy review site out there. Their reviews are payed for. So dont listen to them
Extremely Disappointed — Poor Quality and Overpriced
I recently purchased the Expedition 33 - Esquie - Gaming Mouse Pad from the IGN Store, and I couldn’t be more disappointed. The print quality is absolutely laughable — dull colors, blurry details, and overall just cheap-looking. For the insanely high price they charge, I expected something far superior.
On top of that, I had to import the product and wait quite a long time for it to arrive, only to be completely let down by what I received. It’s nowhere near the quality advertised. I genuinely regret buying it and will never purchase anything from the IGN Store again.
Clear website with great opportunities…
Clear website with great opportunities to get merchandise from your favorite game. Unfortunately, customs duties are very high due to US customs policy, but IGN can't do anything about that. Don't pay too much attention to the bad reviews. Most of them are from people who need to express their dislike of anything progressive in the world.
IGN (Never trust or visit their site)
Hiring people to push political motives rather than focusing on games. Stupid people trying to push their selfish/woke intent to make them feel special.
IGN has never been a reliable or honest…
IGN has never been a reliable or honest platform. From the start, their reviews have been biased, inconsistent, and clearly influenced by marketing deals. They constantly rate great movies and games unfairly low, while hyping up mediocre or broken content — especially if it’s from big studios or publishers.
Their opinions often feel like paid advertisements, not real criticism. There’s zero credibility left. If you actually care about honest reviews, skip IGN completely and look to independent creators who aren’t pushing an agenda.
IGN isn’t just unreliable — it’s damaging to the gaming and film communities by spreading false hype or unjust negativity. Stop giving them clicks.
Reviews based on sponsorship.
Amongst the landscape of failed journalists and abandoned video game media groups, there's a good reason that IGN still exists. Unfortunately, that reason is paid for reviews and a complete abandonment of any focus they might have once had for genuine journalism. Their consistent pattern of rating media giants like Activision's Call of Duty, or Ubisoft's AC series games significantly higher than the market average suggests genuine corruption at corporate level.
If you want lies, welcome!
If you want a blatant lie about the quality of a game, or the quality of the development team, look no further. They are social justice warriors and cannot be trusted with honest development anymore. Truthfully IGN is dead to me. RIP. They used to actually be reputable
Horrible site
Hates chinese games bc chinese unless the ML is a NPC e.g hoyo games
I miss this site and how it was when I was a kid...…
Unfortunately this site has become untrustworthy and useless for the last 2 decades. It's all about who pays for good reviews, politics, or social agenda. They no longer care about gaming (save a few of them who are slowly leaving to make their own business or social media following) and have become an advertising and promotional website.

IGN doesn't know what they are rating
IMDB rated Invincible 9.9/10 was 10/10 for ep 8 of season 3 everyone loved it, no but not IGN they gave it a 4/10 If you actually watched the show you would give it infinitely higher than that but I guess they just want to be different there is no way they watched the show and though a 4/10 was a good rating to give for the ep the ep is a 10/10 a 9/10 at minimum
Most reviews are untrustworthy
Most reviews from this company are written by people that do not care to fully watch or play what they are reviewing. Reviews are inconsistent and unreliable. Different people, different opinions but it is clear that those writing review articles don't even pay attention to the content they review.
