Sold a car at auction, and then told owner wanted a refund despite having taken delivery, registered it in his name. Claimed gearbox was broken which was not the case just a simple £20.00 fix of a clutch cylinder rod. Was informed no refund would be made until I had it back and inspected it. Upon collecting it the transport guys had to replace soft top and hoop cage despite claims it had not been driven. When I advised the problem today was told the buyer had already been refunded so they lied through the process. Vehicle still registered to the buyer so as a seller the buyers clause not worth paper it’s written on. Time to engage lawyers. To add insult to injury had an arse covering tx telling me to remove post because they had to tow it into position but still described it as best they had ever seen. No issue ever advised either on arrival or delivery and registered 6 days after arrival at new buyer. All very suspicious

The process was quite easy really. They called me just before the ute was going through and kept me informed of every bid. I won the auction for less than the estimated price. They then negotiated on my behalf and we ended up agreeing and winning.

Mark phoned me up and offered me a second dibs on a Velocette I didn't win. Had to drive an hour each way to go and get the thing but it was an OK machine and should turn a tidy profit when I sell it.

Absolutely brilliant sold my car very happy with the results

Easy and fast registration on a saturday, the day of the auction. Exciting live auction experience on the phone with a test call a few minutes before the car came up. Great customer service for the practical stuff after the bidding was successful. Also very helpful transport company working with IA to get the car out and into storage. Now waiting to see the car so I can not confirm the details of the car compared to the advert and the pictures yet. All in all a great first auction experience for a childhood dreamcar!!

Recently purchased a vehicle at the NEC iconic auction,paid for it for it to be released to take it home and checked the paper work to find out it didn’t have a registration book.enquired and was told they would apply for one.Sadly not been able to use the vehicle as not able to road tax it , nothing was mentioned at time of sale . Very annoying ,still waiting.

I bought a Bentley from iconic, it was the easiest car purchase I have ever made. The collection from NEC was a breeze,so well organised. The whole experience was a pleasure and I would fully recommend Iconic to anyone thinking of buying from an auction.

On 28 10 25 I received a confusing email about delivery instructions to the NEC. As a seller I had to telephone to determine that I was not affected because my vehicle was being delivered by a transport company.

On 9 11 25 I sent an email about a previous email I had received and two phone calls which I had made dealing with a possible commission allowance. I did not receive a reply.

On 18 11 25 I received an inappropriate email about being registered as a bidder when I had registered as a seller. It took a phone call to determine that I was in fact registered as a seller.
