Brilliant service from start to finish. The coach to take us to the office was easy to find and the check to collect the car was so smooth, with lots of helpful staff.

Great service, easy to use website and good price.

Poor experience: the car was delivered to the Keflavik Airport branch with a roof box that was already damaged and (poorly) repaired. The offices were already closed and it was impossible to request a replacement. Two days later, the box was damaged beyond repair due to strong winds, and despite being 150 km from Keflavik, there was no way we could get a new box from the nearest rental agency. We had to drive all the way back to Keflavik, thus losing a non-refundable portion of our stay. Upon arrival, the staff didn't apologize for providing damaged equipment, but they even "complimented" us (ironically) for how we managed to patch up the box for the trip! I should also note that, despite providing us with a PHEV vehicle, they didn't provide a charging cable, as the employee said it was "not necessary," when in fact it is essential for this type of vehicle.

The fast no contact pick-up and drop off is probably one the company's strong points. Our flight arrived midnight and we were able to get to the office at around 1am. There was a key pick up box where the car keys are, we digit the code given us via email and that's it. We were on our way to our hotel and our icelandic adventure. The car was new and efficient. We had no issues whatsoever. We returned the car afterwards hassle free and easier than the pick up. Will surely recommend this company to friends and if we will be coming back to Iceland, then we surely know where to rent.

Iceland rental (blue rental) was great service, easy to book and instructions for pick up and drop off. I took out the premium insurance and this covered all our needs. No additional charges and quick drop off at the airport.

Poor communication, they are just a reseller for blue car rental. I would just go to one on the major companies like Hertz. They say they will pay the tolls when you go through tunnels and then don't then you get fined double so almost 40.00 every time you got through the tunnel near Akurei.

We rented a car here for the first time, and everything went smoothly. The car was clean, the reservation process was clear, and a big plus was that full insurance was included — no additional fees. We picked up the car late at night, and everything was fine. Returning the car took just a few seconds, and everything was handled efficiently. We can definitely recommend this company!

Overall I had a good experience with this rental car. The car I received was a bit banged up, but everything was accounted for so I didn't have to worry about that. It was very clean. There was a problem with the gas tank not opening easy when it was time to refill. The price was good and the service was polite. Also pickup and drop-off were quick and easy.

Everything worked fine for us, except the wifi device we signed up for was not in the vehicle so i needed to go back in and get it. But when i did, the folks were super friendly and helpful and there was no waiting.

Loved the worry free experience. Price with all the insurances was better than the competition, the cars were recent, clean and drove well. If you can, select a Hybrid! Gas is expensive in Iceland!

First time visiting Iceland and definitely recommend using Iceland Car Rental. It was a bit confusing that you pick the car up at the airport from Blue, but the pick up from the locker was very straightforward and drop off was very quick and smooth too. They were also really helpful when we needed to change the return time due to a mix up in accommodation.
