I tried to hire a van in Brighton. At the last minute the venue was changed to 4 miles away and then their system went down leaving me stranded not able to get into the van. Avoid at all costs

I’ve used before but this time tops it. Van couldn’t unlock remotely the key was hidden under rear driver side bumper?! Engine hissed as though turbo pipe was off and the engine was covered in oil and that was just drivin from pickup to my house 15 minutes. Cancelled rental now fighting to get money owed to my inconvenience

Great value for money and the van was very conveniently located. I did have a few problems unlocking it but those were resolved by the owner quickly so were not a major problem for me as I had allowed ample time for what I needed the van for. Hopefully this was an exception, but its probably not a bad idea to allow a little contingency time when hiring just in case...

I was charged recently 0.08p on my credit card one month after I had used the service. I asked icanhire to explain the charge and I was informed that this was generated by the system and given no further information. The customer service representative then cut my call and abstained from answering my callback. I think this is very suspicious behaviour and further investigations into this company show that it is difficult to make a formal complaint. Although the service was good at the time, the follow up charges (without invoicing or notification) is just unacceptable.

Simple van rental, vans are a bit used but the automated system they use is easy and the customer service is second to none and so much more reasonable than other hire company's, will deffinatley be using again.

First time using the company. The van was a bit dirty and had many dents, but the service is great. I rented a van for two hours, and find the prices very reasonable.

Exactly what it says on the tin, and a great first hiring experience. Yes there were a few dings and dents on the van but that's to be expected, however internally the van was spotless, everything was in great working order and overall really impressed. Will definitely use again and would highly recommend.

1st time I have used this service it was cheaper cmpared to competers without having to pay a deposit was great.

Good Customer Service always nice to help. The van was a bit old but the convenience of picking up the van when you want and dropping it off when you want are great. have used them for years and they have never let me down.

Simple to rehire. I booked to hire for a Sunday on Saturday night. Got all checks done and paid within 2 hours.
There were no vehicles available for full Sunday, so I checked hourly availability for the closest vehicles and booked from 3pm to 1am got my job done. Perfect.!
Perhaps for the less tech savvy, the website can automatically highlight partial available options.

Waste of time, no communication.. I booked a Luton van for an office move, this was very time dependant and we had hired staff to help. Went on a 1hr 30min goose chase to pick up van; we could not find any van at the location. Called support they said to look harder but at that moment they could not locate it remotely. I called back and was told the systems were down and there was nothing they could do or an alternative they could offer us. Thanks a bunch.

Fantastic. Went to collect some furniture I'd just won on an auction site, at 1.00pm, and it didn't fit in my car! I was back there by 3pm with an icanhire van and delivered the furniture home safely. After pressing a few buttons, and jumping a couple hoops, it was a doddle. Thanks- will deffo use again! Chris. Incredibly clever and efficient way of hiring a van. No time-wasting paperwork or hanging around at a vehicle rental reception waiting for keys, vehicle etc. If you need a replacement van to run your business and keep up an image, you may want to spend two or three times as much on a more immaculate vehicle but if it’s an occasional one-off to move something from A to B you can’t go wrong.

Condition of vehicles is often questionable, but I don't really mind if I am just moving stuff to storage as I don't normally drive vans so feel a bit more at ease with something that isn't pristine to begin with! Fairly easy automated processes and call centre available and helpful if you need to extend hire etc. Would recommend.

Nightmare experience, avoid.
