Best utilities app we have ever tested.

Mac user since 1984. Retired, though still alarmingly active. A distinguished elderly professional who sends emails deliberately, correctly, and with receipts.

I remain uncertain as to the nature of the previous reviewer's complaint. This uncertainty deepened - not diminished - after reviewing their other contributions to this platform. Patterns, once noticed, are rather difficult to unsee.

This application is available in the Apple Store and includes an excellent spyware docteur function, which has repeatedly and accurately identified certain egregious applications - often originating from a particular region - as potentially unwanted. These determinations have held up well over time.

I was initially puzzled by the negative review. I am no longer puzzled. When considered alongside the company featured in the gentleman's solitary five-star endorsement elsewhere, matters fall quietly into place. I will leave it at that.

In summary: this app is excellent. Señor Apple strongly recommended this software to me. I am very pleased with it and expect to continue using it for the foreseeable future, along with my computer, my email account, and what remains of my memory.

Mac user here for 20 years, also network engineer and IT specialist for 35+ years. I'm not sure why this app is even in the Apple Store but even Apple senior tech strongly advise against using software like this for doing any maintenance or 'clean up' work on your Mac.

Third-party optimisation and cleaning applications are generally unnecessary and very often detrimental to a Mac's performance and stability. macOS is engineered with sophisticated, built-in maintenance routines that automatically manage system caches, clear temporary files, and optimise storage in the background. Introducing an external "cleaner" can disrupt these core processes, leading to the deletion of files the system actually needs for fast operation, which can cause instability, application crashes, and ultimately, slower performance as the operating system is forced to rebuild essential data.

Furthermore, many of these third-party tools employ aggressive and indiscriminate methods that can compromise the integrity of the operating system itself. By gaining deep system access, they create a significant security risk, and some have even been flagged as acting like malware or adware by generating fake alerts about performance issues to drive sales. For file management and deep storage analysis, simpler, specialized utilities or the Mac's native Storage Management feature are safer and more effective alternatives that respect the designed maintenance structure of your Mac.

I’ve used this app for nearly a decade now. As an experienced user, there are many things I could do myself, but still utilize this app for because it just makes it so quick and easy. Most other features I use, I need this for. From time to time, I’ll see new features get added. The add-ons are somewhat few and far between, but I couldn’t imagine much more to add than what they already have. It already is a wonderfully powerful suite of features.

This app is very easy to use and convenient as well. Very helpful and makes a difference in your mac unlike any other apps
