Much like many others on here, I came on here to help track down an order I was sadly let down on. Fortunately I managed to find another company providing a similar service.
I cant recommend the Norfolk spray shop enough for helping me with my order.
Switch From I-Cube To Vinylblox
I too had a very bad experience with this firm, i purchased 6 single cubes from them. On delivery the cubes were packaged terribly which resulted in 2 of them being caved in on all 4 corners. When i contacted them to resolve the situation their customer service was non existent,it took me an age to get replacements. Luckily i came across Vinylblox these units are exactly the same spec and i have just purchased from them with an excellent customer experience. So if you are looking to add to your storage from the I Cube cowboys then click the link and rest assured you will not be disappointed. For the record i have no connection with Vinylblox i am just a very happy customer!

I too can add to this. Bought 2 x birch CD shelves. Took approximately 4 months to arrive, and when they did they we're dreadful. Very shabby workmanship. My five year old lad could have done something better with a plastic saw and hammer. Sent them back and didn't get a refund. Should've seen it coming a mile off.

I would like to put right the suggestion that Vinyl Blox is attached to I Cubes. Vinyl Blox is my company, I worked for I Cubes in the past (hence the location being nearby) and am among those left in the lurch by Carl, with wages and monies owed to me (which i am still having to pursue). If you check our Trustpilot, we have a handful of reviews from our customers who have ordered and are very happy with our service and product.
Our product is indeed similar, as it is the same one I used to produce for I-Cube. If you have any questions please call the number on my site to put your mind at rest.
I feel rather wronged by this suggestion as i was put in a very deep financial hole by Carl's actions.

Never returned call about a custom build. Now a new company has been set up selling remarkably similar products via a badly written website and guess what, only a few short miles down the road... Vinyl Blox... I smell a rat

Had storage from these before and was never disappointed until now. Ordered some items at the back end of November, waited for the 16 weeks as advised like I did before and nothing was received., sent a couple of emails and had no response. Just checked their website and they have ceased trading. Have no idea if PayPal will refund me the £50 I paid as it's passed the cut off date for a claim. So angry as it wasn't advised.
Dreadful experience
Dreadful experience. Ordered a storage unit on 02/09/18 and was advised at the time of a 15-week lead time. Emailed them three times after the 15-week mark and got no response. Tried phoning the listed mobile number several times but it always rang out. I involved Paypal in February, which prompted a reply advising that my order would be with me in 2-3 weeks. Not unexpectedly, nothing arrived, and this evening I've looked on their website and found that they've ceased trading. Not even the courtesy of emailing their customers with an apology - had to find this out myself. I'm sorry to see anyone in hardship, but with the way Carl has treated his customers, I'm not at all surprised that he has had to cease trading.

Came on here to leave a bad review after finally getting the money back from my credit card company - only to see they have gone out of business.
I don't wish anyone any ill will but this company deserved to go bust purely based on the behaviour of the ceo Carl.

Please don’t use this company. I ordered from them about two months ago they look my money and I have not received the product. I have asked for a refund several times and have had no response so I am currently out of pocket and annoyed.

Appears not to be trading anymore. You should be able to get a direct refund from credit card companies and PayPal (who have refunded mine). Debit cards try "chargeback" scheme - money saving expert site has details.

This is by some stretch the most unprofessional outfit I've ever had the misfortune and stupidity to deal with.
Never again !!
And I strongly urge any potential customer to reconsider doing business with them, to avoid the weeks/months of irritation that go hand-in-hand with dealing with these “manufacturers of high quality, hand built modular storage cubes” (their words NOT mine).
I ordered and paid for some boxes on 9th November 2018, because Carl at i-Cube stated “Yes we have both these items due in from our workshop within 2-4 weeks so yes can have them delivered to you before Xmas if you order ASAP”. That was the start of my problems.
Nothing for 2 weeks, and in the light of developments, the original promise begins to look like a lie.
I emailed on 26th Nov. to check on progress.
Email reply from Carl stated “So sorry for delay we’re still working on these products and aim to dispatch with tracking ASAP”.
Nothing for 2 weeks.
Phone calls to Carl elicited that they had run out of packaging so could not meet their delivery schedule. I offered to go to their address and pick up the boxes I had ordered, saying I would happily take them unpackaged just to get them before Christmas – an ideal solution, one would’ve thought. Apparently, this wouldn’t be acceptable at all.
An email arrived on 17th December (perilously close to Christmas) stating “Sorry for the extended lead times we have had supply issues out of our control that are holding deliveries back. We are happy to refund your payment”
So, another bare-faced lie then !
Finally, on 18th January 2019, I lost patience and requested the refund offered.
To cap it all, the refund i-Cube sent me details of had a PayPal charge applied that they expect me to pay, even though I didn’t use PayPal when I paid for the (undelivered) LP boxes. On complaint, this was rectified.
These various circumstances may well be true, but customers won’t find out because i-Cube very rarely bothers to return calls when they have promised to do so.
The lead-times have, over the years, stretched from 10 weeks to 15 weeks. Their adverts may as well say “perhaps some time in the distant future if you’re lucky” for all the weight their promises carry.
It is difficult to understand why it takes I-Cube so long to turn 5 or 6 pieces of wood into a partial cube. It can’t be the complexity of the build process, the quality of which, sadly, has also has suffered, with tack holes clearly visible.
Regarding the seemingly-permanent sale available with i-Cube products, the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) advises that firms need to be able to show how long and how recently a product was on sale at full price before being discounted. The law, as contained in the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations, simply says that if products are on sale or special offer, retailers have to show the original price and must have been selling at that price for "a meaningful period of time".
I’ve never seen i-Cube products at their full price.
The website states (as at 12/04/2019) that no sale is available, but the prices haven't dropped since when there WAS a sale
To recap, don’t, just don’t use this outfit !
