An Outstanding Kitchen Perfectly Suited To Our Needs.
Well we needed a new kitchen. Ours was tired and falling apart being over 30 years old!
A friend had recommended Howdens who had designed their new kitchen to cope with mobility issues brought on by Parkinson's.
We were very impressed, and when I literally bumped in to a Howdens representative manning a promotional stand in a local supermarket, I had to stop for a chat.
Ten minutes later I left with lots of information including a Howdens brochure and promotional pack with fantastic sale offers! I was also advised that our kitchen could be designed to suit our individual requirements, with one of us being severe sight impaired.
Having left our details we were contacted within the next week, and introduced to Della who made an appointment for a home visit.
This was a real eye opener! Della arrived on time and listened to our plans and requirements for a new kitchen. She immediately advised how various appliances, units and work surfaces could be planned and fitted to suit our specific needs.
Nothing was too much trouble for Della who with her friendly personality and professional manner also had time to listen, as she took measurements to plan and design our new kitchen!
Two weeks later, Della contacted us to come in to Howdens and view the result of her hard work, which were displayed as a 'virtual kitchen' on a large screen in Della's office.
After a few tweaks and checks to make sure everything was included, we then discussed colour schemes for cupboards, units and work surfaces along with taps, sinks and the all important kitchen appliances! Della also did her level best with her final quotation, making sure we took full advantage of the amazing Howdens Sale and gave us a fitting date with a highly recommended independent kitchen fitter.
The kitchen fitting team were superb including a highly skilled joiner who completed most of the work.Nothing was too much trouble....he even rounded off the corners on the oak work surfaces!
Our tired old kitchen was removed and eventually taken away, as our wonderful new one was completed within the two week estimated time period.
The results are incredible and the quality fantastic including a high easy reach double oven, beautiful deep ceramic sink, wonderful oak work surfaces with those rounded corners, and high quality wooden cupboards with rounded edges as suggested by Della.
We are thrilled, our family and friends cannot believe the transformation and how it makes things so much easier for me with my limited sight.
Thanks to Della and the Howdens team, not forgetting the kitchen fitting team, especially their superb joiner!!

Great Kitchen from Howdens
I ordered a Kitchen from Howdens, Kelsey one of the designers was great going through the design until I had exactly what I wanted, which as the space was quite tight was somewhat challenging. She was very patient & thorough. When the kitchen was being installed a couple of last minute changes were needed & she worked with the fitter to order products we wanted to add & refunded ones we didn’t need . It made the whole process much easier to manage having a helpful member of staff
