FAULTY SLIPPERS - DIRE SERVICE
I purchased my wife a pair of slippers for Christmas 2025. She worn them for a few months and then the soles on both split in the tread. In April I contacted their "Customer Support" who sent me a return postage label and I posted them back a couple of days later. I contacted them a week or so later as I had not had any response. The lady was quite off hand with me and told me they need 30 days for their Technical Department to check for faults - the deep splits were on both slipper in exactly the same position so very obvious to all. I was made to feel that I was a nuisance bothering them. The cost was over £48 so I had expected better service than this. I left it their 30 days and then made further contact chasing a refund - I did mention that I had taken photographs of both slippers showing the splits. Customer Service claimed not to have had a response from their "Technical Department" so would "be happy" to refund them! My wife had been a regular customer of Hotter over the years and this was the first defective pair - given the manner in which they dealt with my complaint she is no longer a customer and would not buy anything else. Shame - if companies treat their customers with contempt as Hotter does, this can only result in people stop purchasing and they close.

Buyer be aware that Hotter refuse to refund your delivery charge on returned orders.
According to Consumer Law they are duty bound as a lawful requirement to refund customers a delivery charge.
With the exception of Hotter who are a law unto themselves.
I will not purchase anything from Hotter in the future as a consequence.
£7.20 postage charges in total for a returned order is unacceptable to say the least.
Worse than poor customer service.
Excellent products but furniture in Southed Store needs replacing URGENTLY
Lovely products, helpful staff but chairs disgraceful - occ arms coming to pieces. Come on Hotter - either recover or replace. Really lets the store diwn
I trusted through recommendations and…
I trusted through recommendations and believed Hotter stating the trainers l was interested in were wide fit, that was the main reason in buying them. I called customer care to ask what the measurement of their wide fit trainers were but they did had no idea so unable to help me. Foolishly l went ahead with my purchase and spent £80.50 including delivery. Upon delivery l took one look at the sole of the trainer and saw they were narrow not wide, l did not even attempt to try them on as that would have been pointless. I feel duped and will not recommend this company if anything l would urge caution. Not only did l feel misled £7 was deducted from the refund to return the trainers, l would have let it pass with the misleading width but to take £7 was the last straw.

I ordered one pair of shoes and the offer. said I could have two pair at the price of the one, so I ordered another pair, which I found to tight so I returned them For refund now they say I cannot have refund as returning them caused the first pair to be charged at original price, they did not state this on their Web site so it's basically a very misleading sales pitch they are practising unscrupulous trading, their shoes are also very expensive not worth the money.
Diabolical soles crumbled & split
Diabolical! Shoes unfit for purpose, soles crumbled & split but as they were a gift & I didnt have proof of purchase they wont replace them?!

I have purchased Hotter shoes in the past and always found them exceptionally comfortable and well-fitting, which is why I remained a loyal customer.
Recently, I ordered a pair online and specifically selected the extra wide width, as this has always suited my requirements. However, upon receiving them, I found the sizing to be completely inaccurate — despite ordering extra wide, they were far too narrow and small, making them extremely uncomfortable to wear.
I was very dissatisfied with the product, so I arranged to return them. I was disappointed to discover that I was required to pay for the return delivery, which I feel is poor customer service. The company has confirmed receipt of the returned item, and I am now awaiting my refund.
This experience has significantly changed my opinion of the brand, and I would hesitate to recommend them or purchase from them again.

Buying products online is a risk and be prepared for a financial loss - I paid £43.50 including delivery and received £36.05 in my return that is a loss of £7.45 - that's a 17% loss you will incur if the shoes are not true to size, and they weren't. Won't shop online here again.
Poor service
Although I have been buying Hotter shoes for many years, I find that the service these days is not what it was.
They promise next day delivery, and charge extra, for it, of course, but it does not happen.
When I rang to query the non- appearance of my order, I was told that there was " a problem in the warehouse".
I was told that I would be reimbursed the delivery charge, but that has not happened either.
These goods are not cheap but the service is poor.

Saw an advert in the paper for a good offer on a pair of shoes. When I tried to buy them I was told that the offer had expired the day before which leads me to wonder why the advert was still in the paper. When I tried to contact customer services there was absolutely no response. Very disappointing.
Incompetent Customer Support
Requested removal from Hotter’s marketing database in December 2025 inherited from previous occupant. Chased again in April 2026 after continued mailings. Still receiving catalogues in June 2026 despite multiple assurances that my details had been removed. Very disappointing handling of a simple data preference request.
Mental i’m no where near their target demographic but they still want to spend their money sending me advertisement of the worst items i’ve ever seen.
First it was “6 weeks”. Then it became “10–12 weeks”. At this rate I’m expecting a reply telling me the catalogues are already printed for 2027.
Not recommended
Unfortunately, I do not have a good experience with the customer service from Hotter Shoes. Lack of communication and lack of updates were very frustrating. I had to return shoes which were faulty. I received email to acknowledged that they have received the shoes, 3 weeks after sending shoes, and in the meantime I called them 3 times trying to find out what was happening. Previously I bought lots of shoes from Hotter Shoes and this was the first time I had to return the shoes due to faulty product. I am afraid this experience with customer service put me off from buying more shoes from the company.
Poor returns service
Poor returns service , do not expect a full refund if your purchase was in a promotion. . Having bought two pairs at £54 each in discounted offer . I returned one pair as they did not fit , only to find the offer had ended that day ? and the pair I kept ended up costing me £95. Will never buy from them again .
Delivery by Evri not good. Protracted Returns Process and poor communications
The Returns Process Takes a Long Time and Customers Are Charged to Return Items.
My items were delivered by Evri (who have lost my parcels in the past!) the parcel was damaged and one of the shoe box were crushed.
I returned 3 pairs on the 11th May and rang customer services on the 22nd to enquire if they had received them. It took 18 mins on the phone be told I was told 'yes received them on the 14th but they had not kept me informed and had not started the refund process.'
There is a return postage fee of £2.95 which is deducted the refund. And it can take up to 14 days for us to process your refund.
I will not be using this company again!

Spoke to company said they would be delivered , rang back and discovered they hadn't been sent. Rang again today , now told Wednesday. I dont think ill be buying from them again.
