Terrible

If you like a good night sleep, this hotel is not for you. It is located next to a very noisy railway station and the trains makes noise all night. Didn't sleep the whole night and the staff didn't react to my complaints. I'm a frequent traveller - this is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Copenhagen has plenty of other hotels - do yourself a favor and choose another stay than Hotel Østerport.

Not good, not bad - the most NONE smiling staff, hotel in Denmark

The most NONE smiling staff, hotel in Denmark. Staff is the face of the hotel. Staff, smile and behave like you are interested in your guests. It looked like you always were busy, running or in front of a pc not noticing your guests -

My incheck was very strange. 2 receptionist. 1 checking her pc not noticing the new guest (give them a smile) and 1 man in jeans and wrinkled shirt. Color? Blue? White? No one knows. Completely uninterested and not welcoming.

Do the hotel still have the same financiel problems since 2013 and can´t keep the standard for a 3 stars hotel? Heard aboutRenovation because of new owners this year ( Swedish company AB Balder)? Not started yet?

Worn hotel. Rooms located like cabins on a ferry. Location ok, walking distance to city center. Difficult for a foreigner to get to the city center not knowing the streets. Located next to running trains. Not so noisy as expected but if you are used to silence then choose another hotel.

Light up your face with gladness
Hide ev-'ry trace of sadness
Altho' a tear may be ever so near
That's the time
You must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worth-while
If you just smile
