We bought and paid for new washer and dryer from HomeDepot. Was suppose to get them today. The our address has a 9 in it but the stupid driver was dropping off our appliances at another house with a 9 but different street. Dryer was damaged and it would take another week to get a replacement. Sent both back. Homedepot outsources their deliveries and other services. Had bad experience with carpet installers as well. Never again from HD.

I ordered two coolers for my daughters Celebration of Life...
They promised deluvery. They took my money. They did not deliver. They are disgusting.
Home Depot Delivery is Horrible
Ordered a refrigerator, due to be delivered Saturday. Delivery showed up and refrigerator was damaged and was told they had no more in stock. Wife reordered a different one with a delivery date of Monday. Monday received a text message that it would not be delivered until Tuesday. Tuesday arrived and was given a 4 hour window with tracking. Truck was 1 stop away and I received a phone call stating that the truck broke down and they now would deliver it on Thursday. I cancelled the order. When I went to make sure a refund was being issued for both refrigerators I ordered I was told both credits had been issued and e-mails would follow. The second order was a full refund but the 1st order (damaged unit) they wanted to charge me $39 for delivery. I had to make two phone calls to convince them that I should not have to pay a delivery fee for a damaged item that was not delivered. Needless to say, I went to Lowes and purchased a different unit.
I purchased a washer
I purchased a washer, June 2025 It’s July 26 washer broke repair man said over $1000 to repair the defective drum. I went to Home Depot to talk to one of the managers and he looked at me like I was crazy. I currently have a Home Depot credit card that I’m gonna pay off as soon as possible.
Be careful of the 48 hr window of Home Depot Leander
I advise people to carefully check what they buy from the newly opened Home Depot Leander esp large items bcoz they have a 48 hr window from date of delivery wherein you can no longer return or replace a defective product. Everything happened within a week from date of delivery. We bought a new clothes dryer and it was a lemon! It runs but has no heat and clothes remained damp. Home Depot refused to replace it. It was worth almost $700. We bought a Maytag 7 cu ft clothes dryer. As i type this, im talking to Maytag customer service. It's a very painful experience especially in these very difficult times. My $700 is gone for buying a defective appliance. - Roselle C.

They sent me a coupon which I went in the store and purchased product and tried to redo the coupon and the person working at the checkout, tried to scan it, and it didn’t work and when asked about it, her response was take it up with Home Depot. I then went down to customer service and tried to get an answer there and got pretty much the same answer there they have no idea what’s going on. It should work take it up with Home Depot. I called the one 800 number for Home Depot that transferred around and put on hold wasted 25 minutes with no response and hung up the Home Depot and it’s location in Elyria Ohio are some of the worst customer service of any retail establishment. We have a Lowe’s on the other side of the highway literally a couple minutes away, and they actually care about their customers.

I ordered some flooring on their website and specifically requested it to be delivered on a specific date. It was delivered within a few days a week before the date requested and they just left it on the sidewalk. Also I called their customer service. When I got an email informing me that it would be delivered early. The representative put me on hold for quite a period of time and when they returned, they assured me that the product would be delivered on the day I requested.
Good Total Job!
I found my product to order online. I ordered it and all my automatic discounts were taken into account. I got an acknowledgement, shipping time and receipt. The item shipped the same day via Homedepot. Product arrived on time and no damage. This store was in Auburn, Mass.
Good Job
Don't buy at Home Depot
On June 23rd, 2026 we bought an LG washer & dryer from Home Depot. On our first wash the washer made clunking sounds – like there was loose change inside or a zipper on some clothes. That was not the case!
We called Home Depot and were told it’s not their problem – it’s LG’s problem.
We called LG and the excuses were abundant. Eventually, two guys from LG showed up a few days later. All’s we heard from them, over and over, was that they are not technicians and any weird noise or problem had to be handled by technicians.
We again called LG and the excuses were aplenty. Bottom line is that no technicians would be dispatched.
What of the extended warranty we paid for. The woman from LG had no record we had an extended warranty. We had to scan and submit the proof of purchase of the extended warranty to the email address we were given.
Back to square one.
Next, we were told to provide the serial number. That same woman told us it’s not a valid number.
We again had to take a picture, scan it, and submit it to the email address.
The washer was then verified.
Now we were told to take a video, with sound, of the washer making this noise.
Until then, no technician would be dispatched. She then ended the call.
What excuse is next? What hoop are we supposed to jump through next?
So much for buying an extended warranty when nobody is willing to help.
In the meantime, we are without a washing machine.
Additionally, the woman from LG was short with us and rather rude.
How dare we complain of an LG product having problems – warranty or not!
We can’t return the washer to Home Depot because they have a 48-hour return policy on LG products.
We were told by that woman at LG that we can’t return the washer as LG has a 14-day return policy.
So, here we sit with a washer that doesn’t work right and our extended warranty means SQUAT!
The ai was "not allowed" to help
The ai was "not allowed" to deduce whether or not the gas strut I was attempting to purchase was prefilled or not. Upon incredibly close inspection the product said that it was sealed and could not be maintained. Which would imply directly that it was in fact prefilled and that their customer avoidance robot just doesn't work. Even after pointing this out, it told me directly that it is not allowed to use dimensions, no matter how obvious, to answer questions and that if the statement was not quoted directly in the description, it could not even mention it. It's just a glorified hardware store parrot, just reading to you condescendingly instead of helping you with information that you would not have been able to discern just from reading the product description.

Spent hours looking for carpet at Home Depot. Finally chose a carpet and talked to customer service.
I wanted a 9'x12' HIGH DOLLAR carpet so we could make a large area rug. Would have ben $600.
Home Depot first question did their estimator come out and measure--
They would not sell me any carpet since they only allow their installers to install and no other way.
Never had a HD installer do a good job and should of went to a different company!
First time using Home Depot and it went…Decent but room to improve
First time using Home Depot and it went better than I expected. Checkout was quick and I had a few payment options to choose from. The final price ended up higher than expected once fees were added. Decent, but there's room to improve.
Home Depot is a suckass company with terrible customer service.
Home Depot is a suckass company, and I fully understand why it has a very bad 1.8 star overall rating.
Their selection of products is pretty good, but their customer service is AWFUL! Below are two examples of when I was treated disparagingly by Home Depot:
1) In 2003, I purchased some shrubs from them that had a one-year warranty. After only a couple of weeks after planting them, they dried out and died, even though I watered them and took great care of them. When I tried to refund them to the Customer Service of the local Home Depot store here in Ann Arbor, on Carpenter Road, both the supervisor and a higher level manager were argumentative towards me. The manager claimed the shrubs were covered under some type of "Grandfather Clause" BS. He offered me only a Home Depot gift card, which I quickly turned down. I demanded my money back right then and there. After arguing with me, the manager said I had the option of contacting the corporate office of Home Depot in Atlanta, GA, regarding this matter, which I did right away. I was able to get my refund, but should not have had to work so hard at it.
2) In 2023, I purchased a LG washer and a LG dryer online. When the deliverymen dropped off our washer and dryer, they never hooked either one up for us. They just dropped them off in our basement and left very quickly and didn't utter a word. I wasn't in the basement with them, so I never knew what occurred until they came back upstairs. I specifically remember complimenting how fast they hooked up everything. It was like maybe 5 to 10 minutes they were in our home. But when I went in the basement after the deliverymen left, I was totally shocked! Neither the washer nor the dryer were hooked up and were still in the plastic wrapping and not plugged in to the power. I paid for installation ahead of time. I called the deliverymen, and one of them argued with me on the phone. He claimed that he explained to me while at our home why they couldn't install our washer and dryer, but that was a baldface lie! They left without saying a damn word to me. I complained to the local Home Depot store here in Ann Arbor, and they contacted the deliverymen, and one of them returned to our home a week later and installed ONLY the washer. He was extremely rude, hostile and claimed my dryer was more than 4 feet from the gas line to qualify for installation. I ended up having to contact a maintenance guy I knew to install our dryer.
I definitely do not recommend Home Depot to anyone else.
Home Depot improving their customer service
I had ordered a light fixture from Home Depot Online. I also ordered some light bulbs which unfortunately were delivered all broken. So I took the light bulbs to the Home Depot on Harrisburg Rd. There I am very happy to say that I had great experience as I met an employee who told me that these were special order light bulbs and had to be ordered, but it would be better to order them to be delivered not to my house but to the Home Depot. That way if they were broken they would be returned quicker and I would only be notified when they arrived and were not broken. I also was informed that I could use a higher wattage light bulb which I really wanted to do but I wasn't sure about it. The gentleman who was assisting me was extremely knowledgeable. I do think that home Depot has really picked up their game with customer service. It was a real pleasure dealing with this gentleman by the name of Malachi. I do think that people who do a great job should be mentioned and given credit where credit is due.
The associate who loaded my order…
The associate who loaded my order seemed unusually concerned about how I opened the rear hatch of my van. I prefer using my key fob to open it. It took about a second and caused no delay or inconvenience.
He initially sarcastically asked whether the overhead button “didn’t work.” I thought the comment was unnecessary, so I let it slide and didn’t respond.
Apparently that wasn’t enough, because after loading my order he decided to circle back and give me a tutorial on how to operate my own vehicle. I explained that I simply preferred using the key fob. He scoffed under his breath, “Yeah, but you don’t have to,” and walked off.
Got it. Thanks. I’ll treasure the one second I save.
Meanwhile, he released my order without ever checking my ID, even though identity verification is part of the curbside pickup process. It was odd to see so much attention devoted to correcting a harmless personal preference while the actual pickup procedure was skipped entirely.
I don’t mind suggestions when they’re relevant, but there was no reason for this interaction to become condescending. If Home Depot has a preferred way for customers to open their own vehicles, that expectation should be communicated professionally. Otherwise, customers should be free to use whichever method they prefer, especially when it has no effect on the pickup process
Simon and Raven...great young men
Simon and Raven...great young men. Cheerfully loaded my vehicle without being asked..Tried to give them a few dollars, they just would not take it

I've been shopping at Home Depot for a while and they consistently deliver. Their selection is great. No complaints.
Home Depot has continuously failed to…
Home Depot has continuously failed to fulfill online orders. Usually half of the items I order arrive late (all on different days, one item at a time, which is annoying) and the other half never arrive at all.
Going into a brick and mortar Home Depot store is fine/meh/whatever, but their online ordering system is completely dysfunctional. I will not be ordering from homedepot.com any more.
