bought new HMD 102 4G nice phone to use, instead of providing and out dated Opera mini browser as a built in app it will be better to place some other working browser as cloud app.
R.I.P. NOKIA, what HMD does to the name is a disgrace
I've always been big on Nokia, since I had my very first mobile phone more than 20 years ago. All the phones I always owned were Nokia (this includes Microsoft and now HMD as they got the brand).
In December I bought XR21 which after about 6 weeks of use just shut off and can not be started or the battery can't charge. Suspect it is a faulty battery or battery contacts. The device is in Warranty. Contacted HMD 40 days ago to try to organise warranty repair. All I got every time I write to them is a generic AI generated email and so far haven't seen any help. Getting AI response on my emails is so disrespectful and meaningless. HMD has nothing to do in common with the brand Nokia was. I have to accept Nokia is dead now and move on and switch to Samsung (I thought I will never say this). HMD is terrible and doesn't deserve the trust of their customers. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go buy their product as if you need to get to their customer service it will just ignore you. Don't go HMD!!!!!!!!
I ordered Nokia 3210 20 days ago from a…
I ordered Nokia 3210 20 days ago from a third party app. That phone was faulty and when asked for support, I was switched to HMD customer support. To the height of my surprises I am still struggling to get the problem sorted out. I returned my complete hand set with the packaging box as received. They returned me the single unit phone without battery, charger, user manual and packaging box, just wrapped in a polythene. Now when asked they are asking me for additional charges to send other body parts of my phone. Please some one save poor customers from these arrogant customer care.
NOKIA FORGET THE NAME, it's cr*p
The design is absolutely terrible and the support non-existent. I bought a 2660 flip to replace a dumb phone that kept pressing buttons inside my pocket, flip = lid right problem solved NOOOOO
The idiots have put an emergency call button on the side together with a volume control so now I get emergency operators wanting to know why I called them and miss calls entirely because the phone is in silent mode, a complete waste of money just on those two points alone.
As for operability I could write a book on it's shortcomings but that would bore you all......
Just don't take any notice of NOKIA anymore, they are not fit for purpose!
HMD feature phones have lot of…
HMD feature phones have lot of manufacturing faults even my words failed to explain each & every problem here. Some are intermittent problems & some problems you come to know only after using them for few days. Sometime conference not connected, sometimes echo sound comes, keypad stopped working even after slight fall, sometimes mute stopped working & many more........ Customer support every time asks lot of details like bill, photo, video, front & back image etc. & doing nothing. They just assure that they will replace the handsets but neither a delivery boy comes nor do this replacement resolve my issues. On the whole no solution at all. Worst experience. I won't suggest anyone to buy products of HMD Global
1.I have a Nokia 235 4G phone
1.I have a Nokia 235 4G phone. It have a useless, expired browser, which is opera mini. It can’t load more pages & can’t update. Why can’t HMD give a update with ‘Google Chrome Web Browser’ as a ‘Cloud App’? Cloud Apps are working better in Nokia 235.
2.There are many Apps & Games in Nokia 235 phone. But everyone can’t update or uninstall. Specially there are more games as a headache.
I purchased a Nokia phone from Amazon
I purchased a Nokia phone from Amazon, but the charger did not work. After ten emails, the hmd team told me to collect the charger from another district, bullshit customer service.
very bad company
very bad company. Not getting any response from the customer support.
worst costumer service EVERRRRR
did a return end of may '25. its 15th of october and still havent received anything. sent over 10 emails and always been "assured" its being sent to the right team to handle it. shit never happens. same automatic reply everytime and no action. their whole costumer service seem like bots too. DONT BUY FROM THEM (or at least not if you might return it) cuz you wont be helped if theres a problem!
No repair, no return, no refund
XR21 screen stopped worked properly while the phone was still in warranty. HMD support told me to sent it to their repair service, which could not repair it. and now HMD only wasting time with promiseses
Blatant refusal of serving a guarantee
Bought a Nokia 105 4G. Battery swollen in 4 motnhs prior buying it. HMD refuses to change the battery refusing its obligations with guarantee service.
SCAMMERS
Having purchased a Nikia 2660 flip as a second mobile phone I contacted HMD for assistance only to keep receiving the same excuse over and over again .
Stay clear of HMD, they are notheing but scammers.
2024 Nokia 3210 Phone
Bought this Nokia 3210 phone as soon as it was available in 2024. Worked ok for 1 week. Then the #1 would have to press several times to work. Then dialing out it would show dialing but could not hear it ringing and person on other end could not hear you but you could hear them. Would not connect to call out in several different areas. Worst phone ever owned. Nothing like the original Nokia.
Nokia 3210
I purchased the Nokia 3210 from the official HMD website and received the device with visible scratches on the display. I immediately contacted their customer support, expecting a quick replacement.
It’s been 13 days now, and I’m still waiting — no proper update, no pickup, just scripted replies. Extremely disappointing.
Don’t fall into the trap of nostalgia — this is not the Nokia of the 90s or early 2000s. They are clearly misusing the brand name while delivering poor quality and even worse after-sales service.
I genuinely regret buying this phone. Think twice before placing your order — it’s not worth the money or the frustration.
Appalling
Appalling, bought an XR20, 3 year warranty. Failed after 14 months, unable to repair, cannot offer like for like replacement. Under warranty.... Which has no value, no come back. Spent £240, waste of money
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
If I could give zero stars I would.
Currently trying to return a phone but the return label never arrived. I keep getting the same generic auto emails telling me to create a return despite me providing screenshots that it doesn't allow me to do so and to contact customer services. Been going round in circles for over a week and still no return label. Have now had to file a case with my bank in hopes I can get a refund some how.
Appalling customer service, they don't even read your email just sent an auto response. Honestly wish I'd bought the phone off Amazon.
Everything documented – serious defects ignored, consumer warranty rights denied
Everything I state in this review is true and fully documented through official letters and email correspondence, even if it cannot be uploaded on Trustpilot.
HMD Global provided me with a Nokia 5.3 device as a replacement for a previous phone. On 7 June 2024, I received a signed letter from HMD’s General Counsel confirming that the device was new (not refurbished) and covered by a full two-year warranty.
From the first weeks of use, the phone exhibited major, recurring problems:
frequent call drops during conversations;
failure to reconnect automatically to the network when traveling;
the need to reboot the phone to regain signal;
very poor battery life.
Despite repeated reports, HMD and CTDI EU (their repair center) claimed the device is “working” and refused to consider a replacement, offering only repair.
Their conduct violates:
The Italian Consumer Code (Leg. Decree 206/2005), articles 129–132: the product is not conforming, and replacement is due if repair fails;
EU Directive 2019/771: requires sellers to provide conforming goods and proportionate remedies, including replacement;
EU Directive 2005/29/EC: repeated denial of remedy in case of documented defects constitutes unfair commercial practice;
Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU, Article 38: ensures high-level consumer protection;
Article 26 of the Charter: protects vulnerable individuals – in my case, I assist a disabled family member under Italian Law 104/92, art. 3(3), a fact completely ignored by HMD.
What I find unacceptable is that despite providing all the required documentation, my requests were dismissed without proper analysis, and real, persistent defects were simply ignored.
I have now submitted a formal complaint to the European Commission’s consumer protection office and a petition to the European Parliament.
Beware: this is not an isolated issue, but a systemic practice that may affect many HMD customers across Europe. I encourage anyone who experienced similar behavior to document everything and report it to national or EU authorities.
It's just the worst company to deal…
It's just the worst company to deal with they only give workarounds and not real solutions and the hmd skyline had camera issue for 120 days and they just won't fix it and I don't recommend buying anything that's hmd branded.
Nokia phone C12.The call volume not working
Bought a Nokia phone C12.The call volume does not work even at maximum setting.Reported the fault to HMD and was given a repair request form.Completed the form but could not get the website to accept my address.Tried several address changes with same result.HMD asked for a screenshot with the error message.Sent the screenshot and explained I could not get a page with any error message.Have now been asked to send a video of the non existing error message.
DO NOT BUY, don't do it to yourself.
Issues:
Faulty device.
Bad design.
Very, very slow support. (Over three months and still ongoing).
Warranty takes forever to claim.
Repair company (CTDI) damaged the device forcing another return.
Not worth the money, even when it is a cheap smartphone.
My Nokia has a three years warranty that is honoured by a company called CTDI, a US company based in Romania. My device was faulty by design, I raised the issue with Nokia/ now HMD. After two returns the device didn't work at all so another return was booked. Support agreed that the device looked to have been sabotaged so a third return was booked and a replacement, sub standard HMD device is supposed to come. After over three months, no phone has arrived and we're still going on. Great having a warranty but it's not really honoured.
DON'T PUT YOURSELF THROUGH IT.
