Had an excellent experience with hjl I went in to have a brows and was greeted by a chap named Ben who obviously knew his stuff, he showed me a few cars and gave great detail about them in a way I could understand (I know nothing about cars ) I quickly found a vauxhall astra gtc that suited my needs and more.
I would recommend this company to anyone as the staff are very friendly and ready to answer any questions you have and also make you feel like a valued customer from start to sale.

keep clear of this dodgey dealer.. we bought 4k car off him upon arrival there was issues from start which we should of picked up on and left it.. he promised mot and few things sorting on it which he’s not done all brakes are down to metal.. calliper is buggered the battery is buggered and struggles to start..after few days the car started throwing lights up and the car stopped working because of the dpf and egr is totally blocked kicking out black smoke we paid more money for dpf clean.. and we are still having issues with it after that.. parking sensor isn’t working 2 lights out on car, we taken it for health check with full proof and mot centre which he is said this passing a mot is beyond believe.. this guy sold us a unworthy car knowing we have children and no more money to fix this issues promised 3 months warranty which is a lie he is continuing to ignore calls and txt.. disgrace of a man! keep clear you been warned i will be taking this further!

Had my new car for over a week now and absolutely made up with it! Both Todd and Ben were great guys and made the the whole transaction as smooth and easy as possible. Would definitely recommend!

Just got my Audi A3 Dsg today and only taken it home so not had chance for a proper run out.
Having said that i am very impressed with the friendliness of this family run firm and in particular Ben who was very helpful throughout.

Mis sold a vehicle via Auto Trader - in their description about the vehicle they have listed all kinds of extras that the vehicle supposedly had. Auto Trader have confirmed that only the dealer/seller in this case HJL Car Sales Ltd can only input information into the advert text box meaning they have lied in their advert. I have noticed this week the majority of their adverts now don’t have any additional descriptions in about the vehicles. Listing 8 additional upgrades/extras and it having none of them. Reported issues with the vehicle on the same day as collecting it once I got it home, basically been fobbed off for the last two weeks. I have reported this company to Auto Trader, Citizen Advice, Trading Standards. This vehicle was MOT’d and checked apparently (PDI) before collection as promised by Ben, to get this vehicle home to notice the exhaust rattling after looking under the vehicle I see the exhaust bracket isn’t connected to the vehicle. After having numerous phones calls and now emails with HJL Car Sales Ltd, they are still refusing to issue me with a full refund. Both Ben and Todd have acted in a unreasonable manner regarding the mis selling of a vehicle they sold. Surely no one is that silly to trust HJL Car Sales Ltd or the garage they are using? Please don’t waste your time with this company! I have all the proud from auto trader regarding the advert description and photos on the vehicle.
