This was my first visit to Hepworth and I was very satisfied with the service given.
The receptionist was very friendly and knowledgeable.
The optician was friendly and knowledgeable and the examination was unhurried and carried out with the latest equipment.
There was no pressure to buy new glasses and I would thoroughly recommend this business.

First visit after being recommended by a friend. Very modern, clean, up to date opticians. Receptionist extremely friendly and helpful. Efficient as you get email/telephone call appointment reminder. Optician is very professional and knowledgeable and gives good suggestions and advice. I felt very at ease and confident about my check up. I thoroughly recommend this opticians. Could not fault.

Super service, really friendly staff who are thorough in the sight test process and very knowledgable when helping to select glasses. They explained all the lens options to me and helped me pick some frames that look great, are comfortable to wear and within budget.

The optometrist seemed very helpful until he had been paid and then showed no concern when both pairs of glasses proved to be useless to me when they arrived. He offered no further checks to determine whether the prescription had been completed incorrectly and refused to do anything in relation to my concern. He failed to deliver the bifocal lens as was requested and told me the request could not be fulfilled because it was not possible; even though every other optician I have dealt with during the last ten years has delivered on the request to have a bifocal lens fit for both reading and for VDU use, which is just a little farther away than arms length. If it was not possible to deliver what was requested, this should have been made clear at the time of the request and not after he had been paid.

Two pairs of bifocals were ordered. The reading portion of neither pair allowed me to read properly. One pair was completely useless, leaving me unable to focus on anything within any kind of reading distance and the other pair had to be held approximately 6 inches from my face in order to read anything. I've had wrong prescriptions from elsewhere in the past but have had them checked and corrected without fuss. This was not on offer here and he didn't seem to care. His only response was a defiant "I'm not going to argue with you" and was not willing to discuss it further.

My employer paid for both pair of glasses and has now removed this optician from the list of options available. I shall never set foot in this place again.
