Ordered a kit of four brake lines for a Peugeot Sport 308 Gti 270. HEL claim on their website that these are OEM replacements and they are 'like for like'. When they arrived and I proceeded to try and fit them, I found that they were not aligned with the claims made.

Firstly, the top of the OEM flexible brake line on the front integrates with a bracket affixed to the chassis in the wheel arch behind the wheel. It has a flange and a 'flat' machined into it so it mounts securely and unable to rotate in its position when secured with the OEM clip. The HEL item has a standard stainless union with no flange and no flat machined into it. Impossible to fit securely and certainly not 'OEM like for like!' Further, the instruction ask you to cut off cast rubber mounts from the OEM hose to then use on their hoses. Again, far from 'OEM like for like'.

Secondly, when you buy a kit of 4 hoses and read the HEL created literature on the website with that kit stating that 'By replacing the original rubber hoses with our 'complete' system you will remove this sponginess and your braking will deliver new levels of precision' you expect that the kit replaces ALL of the OEM hoses on that vehicle. The HEL offering for this vehicle doesn't because there are only 4 hoses. There are actually 6 hoses in my system. 2 at the front and 4 at the back.

When I called HEL querying the fact I couldn't fully replace all the brake lines on my vehicle with their kit, they said I could send them the lines in question so they can develop a solution. So basically they wanted me to take my daily car off the road for a period of time so they could engineer something they claimed to have solved already. I later sent a follow up email saying I'd like to return the kit for a refund which was ignored.

So to summarise my experience with this company, I encountered lazy engineering, false claims and contempt for customers. Never again. I might as well have thrown £100 cash on to a fire.

Was very fortunate to have Steve service the rear shock for me yesterday. The guy is one of the nicest guys your going to meet with a head rammed full of knowledge and serious skills, lucky to live within a stones throw of the place and would never go to anyone else. Have a set of their calipers too they are the best upgrade money can buy, thanks again guys and hope you have a bike night at the unit some time over the summer!!

Absolutely fantastic service and quality. Despite me changing my order for a custom made brake hose, it was changed without fuss and after explaining it was for my only transport, it was sent out next day delivery. I cannot recommend this company high enough.
Fantastic quality, fantastic customer service, just wow, I didn't think companies like this still existed.

My Partner and I went to HEL in person and what a friendly welcoming place as well as they know what is what i with a great attitude included.
I am an old git and have been around so I when a find a good company I let people know !

This is by far the best company ive ever dealt with in my entire life. Personally i dealt with a gentlemen named dan and he helped me out so much it was almost hard to believe it he was happy to discuss anything and I never felt like i was been rushed to get iff the phone like ive experienced before with other companies.
Never have I come across a company who are so helpful . These people want your custom not your money, they care about keeping you happy as a customer and it works. For as long as im riding motorcycles ill be using hel performance products. Id also like to mention i never ever leave reviews for anyone but nore people need to know what theyre missing out on.

I had a rapid response from their customer service team and had my issue resolved really quickly.

Fantastic service all round.

Quality products by a British company. I recently broke the plastic reservoir elbow on a master cylinder - my own fault for rushing. Phoned Hel up and they offered to send a free of charge replacement next day delivery! Only cost me the price of the postage and when I opened the packet they had given me 2!!! Thank you so much! I was able to make my track day! Excellent quality products!

Ordered a custom hose, it arrived as I ordered - perfect, however I measured too short.
I called HEL and a very pleasant young lady said, no problem, we'll send you the right length...just like that...no questions, no charge.

I had an issue (my fault I may add) with a master cylinder. Contacted them about it and they could not have been any more helpful. Outstanding customer service! Can't thank them enough!

I bought a set of full length race braided brake lines from these guys, and everything was as expected. The products inspire quality and, if i may add, they look a certain way, which was a plus for me and my bike. The staff was more than kind and responsive, and they shipped the package right away. I highly recommend them :)

Really great company. Very customer focused and went over and above my expectations in terms of customer service. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were extremely helpful. Fantastic Brake Lines that work brilliantly. I will not hesitate to recommend them to my motorcycle buddies.

Sent photos of my old motorcycle brake lines (3).
Gave measurements to Hel by phone.
I chose the master cylinder line fitting the same as existing, but this turned out to be difficult to fit and fouled the speedo binacle.
A phone call to Hel and the following day new master cylinder line arrived and fitted perfectly.
The caliper lines fitted perfectly first time.
Very impressed with the service and fit/quality of the lines, especially as the order was done on the phone, and the lines I asked for weren't the same as original equipment.

I ordered a set of brake hoses for my car, due to the wrong information I received from a third party, two hoses were too short.

I contacted HEL and was told to send back the wrong size hoses and they would make two to my specification.

This was done at no extra cost to myself

I ordered a full set of stainless braided brake hoses for a 22 year old Suzuki’s GSF600 Bandit (motorcycle.) Despite the issues with corvid-19 disruption, they arrived sooner than expected.

On examination I decided they were proof of the concept ‘you get what you pay for.’ They were not cheap, and it showed... In exactly the right way.

I had a couple of minor problems, and they were dealt with professionally. Again, ‘You get what you pay for.’

So, with the problems sorted, and Me an already happy customer, I was asked if there was anything they could do due to the (minor) inconvenience.

Well, I want a pair of brake hoses for my other motorcycle.. it’s a.......

Oh, we do not have the spec for that bikes hoses. Send us your bike’s hoses, and we will copy them for free, and turn then around the same day.
They were posted off in under 2 hours.
The new ones arrived back 3 working days later, with my originals. They were a prefect fit, and as promised, free.

Now that is customer service.

In all they do and turnover, still got personal service from Shaun when I needed one custom line made for my BMW bike, and shipped to Spain. Arrived here as ordered promptly and with all other small parts needed for installation.

I bought a front break master cylinder at a great price. i struggled to fit with my standard Honda reservoir. when I contacted Hel Performance they couldn't have been more helpful. I have now fitted it and it feels and looks fantastic. I won't actually be testing it for a couple of months so cant review its performance but, the customer after sales service is second to none.
