Super experience with Helle Hollis, great prices, super service and fast handling. When we returned the car a scract was noticed and Helle Hollis could fairly had charge us, but they did not - so an experience beyond expectation. I can highly recommend this company - a deep contrast to the poor experience with Sixt.

Easy and quick pick-up and drop-off. The car which we had ordered was not available, so we got a free upgrade. No small print or hidden extras. Helpful and friendly staff. Overall an excellent experience! We will use Helle Hollis again when we come back to Malaga.

Arrived at the rental car facility to pickup our car with full coverage. An unexpected deposit of 88€ was added to the total for fuel. That’s fine. We returned the car with more than 3/4 of a tank of gas left. Maximum to refuel would be 10€ (total to fill the tank was 50€). Instead we were charged 20€ for a few liters of fuel. Furthermore, when we arrived at the facility in the morning, all lights were off inside with the security gate covering the front entrances. We called the phone number and knocked on the windows, but nobody answered. We parked the car, left the keys in the mailbox, and had to take an Uber to the airport. We were charged 30€ for not properly returning the car, even though nobody would answer.

None of this was communicated to us. We only received 36€ out of the 88€ deposit which led us to call the facility and discover the additional charges.

As of now, they have not attempted to resolve the issue with us. We have not been provided any reference rates for fuel (the amount charged does not reflect the small amount missing from the tank) or reasoning to why nobody was available to accept the car upon return (led to an additional charge and we had to arrange alternative transportation to the airport).

I will not do business with them again and recommend others to think twice about it.

Didn't have any vehicles

Takes the booking online, tried emailing and messaging on Facebook as when I first called they didn't answer.When they answered I be told most of vehicles on their website aren't actually available despite what it says and all I can do is pay for an upgrade.

Used them before and no issues, so more disappointed.

Helle Hollis sets the standards by which all other car rental companies in Malaga should be judged. The company is, unusually for car rental companies, thoroughly honest and professional. Its prices are reasonable, its cars almost new and in good condition. As with all car rentals, do take their full insurance - it's pretty well priced and, should some misfortune occur, it'll cover you against unnecessary costs. Clutch, tyres, underbody even loss of keys are covered. But only with this additional insurance. We've rented from them several times now and I really can't praise them enough. Its offices are located very, very close to the airport and they run a regular free shuttle bus service from the terminal to the offices. Just come back from a 4 day rental with them and I have to say they will always be our first choice in Malaga for car rental.

Extremely poor customer service! Due to the pandemic we had to fly home from Faro and made arrangements with Helle Hollis for the car to be picked up next to the Portuguese border. Having originally agreed to refund the remaining days, fuel costs and excess deposit due to the unforeseen situation. Helle Hollis went back on their word and claimed €888.56 euros for the car pickup. Understandably, we expected some deductions for this but we were shocked to be charged this much for a 3 hour journey to collect the car. During these difficult times a business tends to show their true colours. I would not recommend Helle Hollis. They lack the morals and transparency of a good business.

we had almost rented a car via goldencar, thank god we checked reviews just before we made our reservation. In a few comments I read some positive reviews about Helle Hollis. We decided to book with them. They had a good discount and we got even upgraded (by the guy in the Fuengirola office) when we picked up the car, we also got the 2nd child carseat for free. The guy in the Fuengirola office was really helpful and friendly. Also when we dropped of the car at malaga airport we had the same experience. They also brought us with the free shuttle service to the airport(4 minutes away). Definitely will rent again from Helle Hollis with my next visit to Malaga.

We had to cancel our booking due to Covid. Personalised email received from the company. Deposit returned with no fuss unlike other car hires that we have had to cancel. Fantastic company to deal with. Would recommend.

Really excellent service. We’ve used Helle Hollis several times now and they are always great, very efficient, no fuss and helpful.
Booked ages ago but had to cancel because of Covid and this was easily done on line with nice understanding personal email following up. No fuss, rapid refund on to my card within 48 hours.
I look forward to using them again when we come back next year. Highly recommend.

I have to share my very positive experience with Helle Hollis. Due to changed travel plans I had to cancel a reservation. Easy done on line.
Also the prepaid money was returned to my credit card immediately.
Now this is what I call a great and thrust worthy service!

I honestly can't emphasise enough how great this company are! The staff are extremely friendly and the service from start to finish was excellent.

We've been hiring cars on holiday for around 12 years now and these were by far the best company we have ever used.

Car hire was organised by James Villas. But I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Picked up at Malaga Airport for quick transfer. Upgrade car originally booked to an automatic. No hard selling of additional Insurances. And off we went. When we returned the car we had barely got out of the car when I return receipt was supplied with credit info for our remaining 1/4 tank of petrol.. Our luggage put straight on their transport for drop off back to Malaga airport.. Really seems well run and organised. Will definately use again if travel to that area of Spain again

I looked at several hire car companies in Malaga and decided on Helle Hollis because of the reviews. I am very glad I did. They are very efficient with a fleet of new cars in excellent order and immaculately presented. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The waiting area was clean and comfortable and I got the car in just a few minutes. I had purchased my own insurance and there was no hard sell whatsoever to try and make me take out their policy. Returning the car was very easy as well and I opted to fill up the tank to ensure I got the full fuel refund; there are lots of petrol stations nearby. In the waiting area they provide free phone charging facilities and it was only when we were in Malaga airport that my sister realised she had left her phone there. One call to Helle Hollis and it was on the next courtesy bus and hand delivered to me by the driver. The whole experience was very easy and I would definitely go with them again.

I can easily recommend HelleHollis, great service, fair prices and nice cars.

Definitely the best choice for a rental car company in Spain! Booked a car for 12 days from Malaga and got more than expected! Great service (pick-up and drop-off really quick) and a car looking like a new one. It was a Citroen C3, diesel and with only 11.000km. Very happy with the decision of choosing them over any other rental car company in Spain!

First time in Malaga and after reading good reviews opted to hire a car for a week from Helle Hollis. Booking online staright forward, and unless you opt for fast track they don't take any payment until you actually pick up your car, we however used fast track.
On arrival at Malaga airport there was a bit of confusion with the bus as they did not have our booking on thier sheet, we however produced the confirmation e mail, which was accepted without question. Shuttle bus literally takes you across the road ( about 3 minutes), to Helle Hollis garage. On arrival at the garage the driver opened the boot of the bus for us to get our luggage and dissappered , no other staff around either so work it out yourself. We found reception easy enough thou and worked out that you take a ticket from the machine in order to get your turn .Three members of staff on reception ( four counters unmmaned), quite busy and people queue jumping as they were not aware of the ticket system. It took us about 10 minutes ( mainly waiting our turn) to get our keys on fast track.
Back to find our car which wasn't in the row specfied, no staff around again so a bit of searching,and we found the car. It had a few marks and scratches, which I would really have liked noted on our agreement , but there was no staff and reception was still busy so as we had full insurance, we just took it.

We opted for a group "S" car as we really wanted an estate car ( Focus,Astra etc), we were given a Opel Grandland, which we absoultely hated ( personal preferance i susppose) .Large body & interior, smallish boot ( took two large and one medium case), numerous blind spots when driving,unreliable electronics and parking sensors . There are many very narrow roads around the the towns/villages in the Costa area and this car was simply too large bodied, it would not even fit in one space in most of the car parks,
Returning the car a week later was simple and quick and our fuel deposit refunded without question.
We would probably use Helle Hollis again if in Malaga, as we now know their procedure so it would be much easier. We would however opt for a different car next time.
