Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the pricing, noting that items were often more expensive than at other stores, and felt that the company was increasing profit margins at the expense of consumers. Reviewers also frequently reported negative experiences with the service, citing issues with employees being short-tempered, unhelpful, and lacking in people skills, particularly at the deli counter where long waits were common. There were also concerns about product quality, with many finding produce to be overripe, expired, or moldy, and prepared foods like potato chips and baked goods being of poor quality. Manager with a bad attitude

The manager at the fry rd store has a bad attitude. This store has a low rating. If you have ever used them you would understand. On 3/19 I placed a home delivery order. For the 2nd time the driver delivered to the wrong address. I had to go up and down 12 steps 3 times to get all the food to my room. Driver unable to communicate. No english!!English!!! The manager at the store had a bad attitude. Was not all concerned. He tried to cover up for the driver and the store. He blamed Corp for there decisions. They do not keep their shelves stocked. Prices very high and quality notngood. I spend about $200 a month
No appreciation

I LOVE my H-E-B

I LOVE my H-E-B! I travelled to Ft Worth and when I got there, realized I left my toiletries bag (with my BP medicine) at home. I called HEB at Heritage Trace the next morning and a very sweet pharmacist told me I had 0 refills, but she placed a refill order and that I just needed to come in, tell them and they would give a few tablets to get me through the weekend. I couldn't get there until late afternoon and when I told my story to the lady at the counter, the pharmacist I had talked to earlier held up a bottle and said "I was wondering when you were coming by". Easy-peasy and they were all so nice! H-E-B IS my store and since I'm likely moving to Ft Worth, am THRILLED they have expanded up there!

I am extremely disappointed and…

I am extremely disappointed and uncomfortable with the repeated treatment my wife and I receive at this H-E-B location in League City. Every time we visit, there is a palpable sense of exclusion that is impossible to ignore.
Most recently, during a visit yesterday, we witnessed a staff member handing out samples. She was engaging and offering samples to every Caucasian customer in line, but the moment my wife and I approached, the interaction stopped. There was no greeting, no offer of a sample, and a deliberate effort to avoid eye contact with us entirely.
It is deeply unsettling to feel like you are being treated as "less than" or invisible based on the color of your skin. Shopping here feels like stepping back in time to a place where we aren't welcome unless we fit a specific mold. Management needs to address the lack of basic professional courtesy and the apparent bias in how staff members engage with a diverse community. We should be able to shop for our families without feeling targeted by this kind of dismissive behaver

Your employees need some serious…

Your employees need some serious training on how to treat the public. The last two times I have bought groceries at the HEB, I have dealt with some very disgruntled and unhappy employees. Many are short tempered and cannot look you in the eye. They are too busy talking to the sacker (if there is one) rather than thanking the customer who just bought $100 plus of groceries.
I would suggest you hire a customer service individual to train each employee on how to act in a social environment, especially to those who are spending money at your establishment.
There is an old saying "It is nice to be important but more important to be nice". Unfortunately you have been the only big grocery in town so there is no competition.
How hard is it to say, hi how are you today, thank you, we appreciate your business?
While you are remodeling, how about remolding your employees to be more customer friendly?

I like H-E-B but it can be more expensive.

I like H-E-B for their brand of food products. They are usually really easy on my stomach. The bakery stuff is fresh most of the time at the location near us. Staff is mostly friendly. Checkout is quick once you get a cashier.

My only gripe is when there are products they charge more than everyone else on. It feels like they are taking advantage of the novelty. I shop there about once a week average and spend between $50-$100 usually.

CURBSIDE Shoppers NEED TRAINING

I order HEB curbside on a regular basis, the one on Business Center Dr. in Pearland, Texas. I don't always call but do after I order a few times and always have the same on-going issues with the produce. I do have notes asking them to check and not give me overripe produce or expired items. I don't understand, are they not doing anything on their end? I'm paying more for the curbside convenience and feeling frustrated. Hoping if I give a bad review they'll see it and do something about training their shoppers- unless they're doing this on purpose to get rid of over-ripe produce!

Red Seedless Grapes size of Ping Pong balls

I purchased some red seedless grapes through curbside. They were huge and had seeds in them. The flavor was terrible. I have never seen grapes almost the size of a ping pong ball. No they were not Roman grapes. As I said anyone who uses curbside gets the "trash" - and this is wrong, but for the elderly who cannot spend hours in the store this is what we are stuck with. It seems to get worse and worse.

I used to love this store

I used to love this store. I’m over it and have decided after 12 years to go elsewhere for groceries. I’m tired of buying dairy products full of gum. Cream, cottage cheese, sour cream….and you do not offer any clean alternatives. Why do i need gum in heavy whipping cream that now costs over $5.00 a quart? I am also tired of buying HEB brand potato chips that used to be amazing but now the bags are barely half full and only contain broken pieces of chips that are so thin you can’t even use them for dip. I am also over the rude employees you have filling on-line orders who think they own they aisles and make the in store shopping experience exhausting.

Someone needs to check the taste of the rice and beans. We bought two chicken plates at the Marbach and 410 store on 02/10/25 the rice was completely tasteless and the beans were way over salted. The chicken quarters could have been cooked a little longer.

Electric cart accident

I had a grocery store cart accident at H-E-B in Melissa Texas on 11/13/2025! It was assigned H-E-B Case # 09828841, I was in the McKinney Medical Center for 18 days! I had to have a complete left hip replacement and went through rehab at the hospital! On the last day of rehab, I was going through my last rehab session! All of a sudden, I had a heart attack getting ready for a workout on a bicycle simulator! I was very lucky the heart attack occurred in the hospital! I wouldn't be here today! I was rushed immediately to intensive care unit! I had two more heart attacks! They put me on an external pacemaker machine! The next day, they implanted a Pacemaker which I still have today! My life has changed dramatically and I need further attention and support to get my life going in a limited environment unfamiliar to me! I will need some type of battery operated vehicle, a walking cane, and a walker! Even with those, I will be very limited in my activities! I will need further medical attention!

H-E-B has refused to accept any responsibility for my accident and permanent injuries! Attached are 2 pictures, both showing the location of my accident before and after! You will see they accepted the mistake by lining the curb with a display racks to curtail any other similar customer accidents!

They offered me $750 as a show of good faith! I refused it as an insult since my medical costs were in the tens of thousands of dollars!

I ask if you were a witness to that accident, please contact me! The police, fire department, many customers, and some store personnel are witnesses! Please help!

I'm shocked by.all the negative reviews…

I'm shocked by.all the negative reviews here. I've been shopping at HEB for 30 years and think it's the best grocery ever. There store brand foods are as good as the name brand while at a significantly lower cost. The in house bakery foods that I buy are amazing and the meat and seafood quality are as good as it comes. I shop at the Kingsland (some) and Marble Falls (mostly) stores and both have great employees, customer service and quality products. I have never tried one of their prepared meals that wasn't great. I can' t go there without buying their prepared coconut fried shrimp. It's restaurant quality at a tiny fraction of the price. Their stuffed salmon, empanadas and sushi are fantastic, and again at a fraction of eating out. Their new bakery tostito chips are so lite and crispy and stay fresh for a long time. I guess people are just more likely to make an effort to complain than complement. That's how I ended up here. I was looking for a line to HEB corporate to tell them how much I appreciate the quality of service and products they provide.
