I was declined any payment towards repairs to car all engine as well. I have gold cover. I paid out £1100 for all the work and Handler not offered a penny back. In my eyes another rip off warranty company. Don't waste your money on this company.

This company is poor to say the least, cars come with “gold” cover that’s clearly states in black and white what it covers, the fault in question was 1000% covered and listed in there “gold” cover but yet they manage to worm there way out of things by manipulating terminology used to get out of it. So! Basically they just take peoples hard earned honest money who think there covered to line there own pockets, if your not going to pay out on honest failures then just stop now, it’s disgraceful and any one who is involved in this company should be ashamed. Don’t bother it’s not worth the paper it’s written on, jokers

Let’s just say one star says it all
Like many others I got the Gold 18months cover with the 2016 car I bought and yes it’s useless, I had spoken to somebody regarding how it works and was sent a link and told to open it to see what I need to do, BUT I was not told this would start the 30 day claim I was informed if it’s going to be over the 30 days the garage is to on their headed paper send them why it’s going to be over what needs doing basically all they required plus the amount which was £444.86 at that time that was all done on the 6th November 2025 well within the time frame and even though I was told alongside my mechanic who also spoke to them letting them know the tensioner had exploded and replacement cam belt I needed would be covered !! well’ I’m still waiting for that reply!!
In the meantime my car now needs camshaft and valves replacing so my bill is around £1700 and of course it’s been Declined, even when I sent an email explaining why I disagree with the ‘Declined ‘ And regarding what we were both told on different days that was still ignored and everything again Declined !!
I got an email I’m out of the 30days, so why are we told don’t worry just send on the garages headed paper an email explaining why we were over which he did, So means nothing obviously, and the best of it all is Don’t do anything until we hear from them, okay so how do we know what’s wrong with the car until it’s stripped down it’s another get out clause…
So, because no one is or was willing to be honest or at least help out plus also ignore the email they received from Roberts tyres ( Full Garage ) on the 6th Nov 2025 in the time frame I will be taking all this to a higher body !!
Oh and my car has been in the garage since the 21st October over 2 months now !!! but what do they care, it’s not their car is it, I have a health condition / mobility so I’m stuck getting out and about and I now have to find the money to cover now a bigger bill and yet they said the cam belt and tensioner would be covered So,£444 towards the huge bill I’ve got coming in what’s that to them, Nothing !!

I purchased a second hand car, 2012 plate which I understand is an older car, however, I have all documentation to prove it has been well taken care of and also very low mileage for a car of its age. My car was running fine and well until one morning when I went out to start it up. It wouldn't start but the electronics etc were working. I took it into the garage approved by handler protect for a full diagnostic report and breakdown of cost to repair as well as an explanation of what had gone wrong. The engineer at the garage wrote a report stating that the cars starter motor had jammed, something that he said was completely unpredictable and not a wear and tear issue. I sent all of the information to handler protect only to be denied on the grounds of it being "wear and tear". If this had been a wear and tear issue i would have fully understood and not even bothered to go through the process of trying for a reimbursement as it states this in their handbook. It also took almost a week for them to review the case and give me an answer though they say 2 days. Do not use handler protect if you have a somewhat older vehicle, no matter the condition of it, its pointless.

A warranty on a 10 year old car.
Every problem will be classed as wear and tear.
There doesn't appear to be anything that would actually be covered.
There is no point in having a warranty for an older car as nothing would be covered.
