Persistent System Failures, Poor Communication and Extremely Disappointing Support
We have been using Halaxy for our practice and, unfortunately, our experience has deteriorated to the point where we no longer have confidence in the platform's reliability.
Over an extended period, we have experienced a growing number of serious technical issues that have significantly disrupted our daily operations. What began as problems with email delivery has expanded into multiple system failures affecting critical business functions. Appointment reminders, invoice emails, clinical correspondence and authentication-related messages have all experienced delivery issues, creating substantial administrative burden and uncertainty regarding whether important communications are reaching their intended recipients.
More recently, we discovered that the platform's document generation functionality appears to be malfunctioning. A process that previously worked reliably—generating PDF versions of clinical notes, reports and other documents via the Print function—ceased functioning correctly. Instead of producing a usable PDF preview, the system downloaded an unusable file that could not be opened by standard PDF software. This issue was reproduced across multiple browsers, including Safari, Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, suggesting that the fault was not isolated to a single device or browser configuration.
The impact of these issues has been severe. We have experienced difficulties generating and distributing clinical reports, reviewing documentation before release, meeting reporting deadlines and completing important administrative and billable tasks efficiently. When a practice relies on a platform to manage critical clinical and business workflows, reliability is not a luxury—it is an absolute requirement. Unfortunately, our experience has been that Halaxy has fallen well short of that standard.
Equally concerning has been the apparent lack of meaningful communication regarding these issues. When multiple significant faults occur within a platform, customers reasonably expect transparent updates, acknowledgement of known problems and clear information regarding remediation efforts. In our experience, communication regarding the nature, extent and expected resolution of these issues has been inadequate. We have repeatedly sought clarification regarding whether broader system issues exist, when they were identified and what corrective actions are being undertaken, but obtaining clear answers has been frustratingly difficult.
Technical support has also been disappointing. While messages may be received and read, that alone does not resolve the underlying problems. What customers need are timely investigations, meaningful updates, transparent explanations and effective solutions. Our experience has been one of slow responses, insufficient information and a lack of confidence that reported issues are being treated with the urgency their operational impact warrants.
What is most troubling is that these issues do not appear to be isolated incidents. When email delivery failures, document-generation failures and other workflow disruptions occur simultaneously, it creates the impression of a platform experiencing broader stability and reliability problems. Whether or not that is the case, the absence of clear communication leaves customers to speculate and manage the consequences on their own.
Healthcare and allied health businesses depend on software platforms to support client communication, documentation, reporting and day-to-day operations. When those systems become unreliable, the consequences extend well beyond inconvenience. Productivity declines, administrative costs increase, reporting timelines are affected and confidence in the platform erodes rapidly. Our experience with Halaxy has unfortunately demonstrated all of these outcomes.
At this stage, we are extremely dissatisfied with both the stability of the system and the level of communication provided regarding significant faults. We hope Halaxy takes these concerns seriously, improves transparency around known issues, strengthens technical support processes and restores confidence among customers who rely on the platform for critical business operations.
