luxury hotel forces you to spread virus

This is a renowned luxury hotel group.
I have booked a short week stay in their property for a friend with family at Algarve (Hotel Algarve Casino).
Two days before checkin his daughter got chicken pox (highly infectious). Despite a non-refundable booking, we contacted the hotel to ask if we can move the stay to another date, get at least a partial credit, or send a befriended family so the money is not lost.
Well - they insisted that either we come (with the sick daughter, they had no problem putting the health of their guests at risk) or lose the full amount.
And we got the final decision only 2 days after checkin.

So to cut it short: rather than allowing a move of the reservation, the hotel fully concious asked us to come with the highly contagious daughter to spread the virus to everyone in the hotel, and did not even accept to send another family.

I dont know what to say. Worst experience ever. We are going to talk to the ministerio de saude and see if that is not maybe even illegal.
