The live singers created the perfect soundtrack while food trucks offered amazing choices—I had the most delicious shawarma and strawberry cheesecake I’ve ever had. One of the most touching moments was hearing people share the meaning behind their lanterns. When the lanterns finally lifted into the sky, glowing together in the night, it truly felt like a Disney moment—magical, heartfelt, and a memory I’ll treasure forever.
I did not receive the groupon
I did not receive the groupon. However, the charge has still gone through on my visa. It has been impossible to contact them to inquire about the missing groupon. No email contact on their website, no live chat, despite what the FAQ page says. I have spent hours navigating the web page and app. If it’s on there, I can’t find it. That website is a mess.
I feel like this is fraud. Do not trust groupon.

First, why would Groupon have a company that's not good at its business? Second, it wouldn't issue a refund for the business that failed to meet the customer's expectations. Hoping our bank can get our money back from Greedy Groupon.

Total crapshoot
Total crapshoot. It's like Forrest Gump. You never know what you're going to get. I've used them for semaglutide, got ripped off. Used for massage, those were 50/50 on service. I think sometimes these merchants treat the Groupon people differently.

I had a very disappointing experience with Duct Hero and feel it is important to share for other potential customers.
I originally found this company through Groupon, where they had decent reviews and were offering a special for air duct and dryer vent cleaning. I scheduled an appointment, expecting a straightforward service. When the technician arrived, he said he needed to inspect my system first to confirm the service could be completed. After briefly looking at my furnace, he told me there was mold inside the unit.
I asked for proof, such as photos, so I could better understand the issue. He was unable to provide any visual evidence and simply stated that he could see “black stuff” throughout the unit. He then strongly pushed an expensive mold cleaning package, emphasizing urgency, which felt overwhelming and unexpected. I was not prepared to make that kind of financial decision on the spot, especially without clear proof.
Since no services were performed, I asked for a refund. The technician stepped outside, called his manager, and then assured me I would receive a refund within a few days. Unfortunately, that did not happen. After a week, I followed up and was again told to wait a few more days. This situation began in February 2026, and I still have not received my refund despite also reporting the issue to Groupon.
What is most concerning is the lack of transparency and the high-pressure sales approach without evidence. I later sought a second opinion from another reputable company, which thoroughly inspected my system, provided photos, and confirmed there was no mold present.
This experience left me feeling misled and frustrated. Moving forward, I believe Duct Hero could improve by providing clear visual documentation for any serious claims, avoiding high-pressure sales tactics, and honoring refund commitments in a timely and professional manner. Customers deserve honesty, transparency, and follow-through.
I hope this review helps others make informed decisions.

Lost a lot of respect for Groupon
I've spent hundreds on Groupons over the years but recently things have gotten a lot worse.
I bought a voucher for a meal for two in a local tapas restaurant and admittedly failed to read the fine print. The expiry date - two days after the purchase. When I complained, I was just rerouted to the fine print. I had figured like most restaurant deals I had a few months to use it. This was not the case.
I've also seen Groupon advertise very dodgy will services. These companies have a habit of taking an extortionate amount from grieving people and hiding their terms in fine print to prevent them from realising how much they're losing.
Hit or Miss on Deals — But I’ve Always Come Out Ahead
Groupon can definitely feel like feast or famine when you’re browsing for deals—you might scroll for a while before finding something worth grabbing. But here’s the thing: I’ve never actually been disappointed with a deal I chose to purchase.
Every time I’ve used Groupon, I’ve ended up saving money. That alone makes it worth it.
Now, full honesty—there have been a few times where the business needed a little help figuring out how to apply the coupon correctly. It happens. But it’s never been a deal breaker, and everything has always worked out in the end.
At the end of the day, it’s free to use, so there’s really no downside. If you’re willing to do a little digging and occasionally navigate a small hiccup, you can absolutely score some great savings.
Very disappointing experience
Bought a Groupon for a theme park. The ticket clearly said the theme park name and correct date and location. When I arrived, I was told the ticket was for a different location and the Groupon was not honored. When I reached out to customer support, they did not agree to give me a refund and sent me a listing page for something I did not purchase claiming that’s what I purchased even though my own ticket had the right details. Extremely disappointed with this experience and I deeply regret buying the ticket on Groupon to save $5 and then deal with this hassle and be charged extra at the park entrance.
Groupon has the worlds worst customer service
I bought a massage from a merchant through Groupon and had the appointment scheduled. The appointment was canceled and I received a message from Groupon that said the merchant was under investigation and there are no more appointments available for four straight months. The merchant is under investigation yet Groupon refuses to give me a refund for this purchase. This is simply fraud. I do not know how Groupon stays in business with this kind of poor customer experience and support. I basically wasted my money. I will never use Groupon again.
