From giving us a quote to finishing the job, it was done very professional.
They explained everything to us, any queries we had, they explained it to us.

I had a battery fitted to compliment my existing solar system. There was no hard sell, just good technical advice from this company.
The prices were keen and the build quality first class. Great customer care from Antonio during the installation although everyone I liaised with had really good customer focus.

I recently wrote a 5 star review. This was based on the service provided by the electricians that carried out the work. I chose to ignore the time and hassle getting a quote in the first place. It took over a month just to get a quote! The Colchester branch is seriously understaffed, probably in the hope of cutting down overheads and making more profit. The long term reality is somewhat different. Isn’t it a terrible shame that the only way I have to air my grievances is through a Trust Pilot review page. If someone at the company had contacted me as I have requested I could and would have had a private conversation with them and given them the opportunity to resolve their issues. Such as when all the staff left and they had no service staff when they were taken over a year ago. I persisted but now communications have gone cold.

How difficult can a routine service of my ASHP and associated equipment be? Three visits needed because I happen to read the service reports and asked simple questions that showed the reports not correctly written and the necessary information was not noted.

The Colchester branch never answer the phones and emails are in the main ignored. What is the point of going through all the stress of getting someone to arrange a service when stress is not necessary. The only reason I persisted was that they owed be £84 in previously made payments before Eco East Anglia was taken over by Green Buildings Renewables otherwise I would have gone somewhere else.

The company will reply to say "we pride ourselves on our customer service". The reality is they do not have any customer service. I have asked several times to be put in touch with the customer service team and it never happens. It is an internet based company that directs you to your local office and that's who you are stuck with. The Colchester office is a disgrace to the parent company and it is no use making excuses for them. The management are hoping the problem will resolve itself but it will not. It requires immediate management intervention if they hope to continue in business. I’ve already told them I'm now going elsewhere and won’t be using them again. Word on the street, so to speak, is that I'm not the only one and it is likely they will be seeing a reduction in the business pretty soon.

The installation of my solar panels, batteries and EV charger was complex due to my electricity meter being on an inside wall, having concrete floors that needed to be drilled through, and long cable runs. The teams from both the Doncaster and Norwich branches of Green Building Renewables managed to work through all the difficulties professionally and efficiently. I’m very pleased with the results and now having ‘free’ electricity to power almost everything in my home. Thank you to both teams!

Clear communications, excellent installation team

We were really impressed by the quality of the whole service from the York GBR team. They were reliable and efficient with excellent communication and a high quality of workmanship. The installation team were courteous and professional and ensured all the work was completed to a high standard.

It was SO REFRESHING AND A pleasure working with Green Building Renewables they proved to be such a professional outfit that cares about the service they offer.

Back in November 2023 Green Buildings installed a Tesla Powerwall II and some additional Solar PV panels in my house. They did a great job so when I purchased a PHEV they were at the top of the list for quotations for a charger. Their quote was a bit more expensive than the cheapest quote, but when I discussed the price with them they reduced their price slightly. They did not match the price, but because of the great work that they had done before I decided to accept their new quotation. Now that they have completed the final installation and set up of the Zappi Charger I have a great installation and the MyEnergy App is fully populated and gives a huge amount of information now being connected to the Solar PV and Tesla installations. I am extremely pleased with the final installations and would highly recommend them for any similar installations. They are slightly more expensive than some, but you only get what you pay for. Do not hesitate, include them in your request for a quotation.

From first contact with Victoria at GoEco Renewables and until my solar panels were removed from my house I found the process worry free because I was always kept informed throughout. The engineers who came to remove were friendly and helpful, left all areas where work had been done clean.

I would not recommend Green Building Store. I was looking to purchase a heat pump from them, but they kept recommending unsuitable products which didn’t fit my needs, even though they are recommend installers of the unit which would be suitable and was preferred. When questioned on this I was told they would only fit the unit they would not entertain other conversations.

Sally Hart in particular I found to be unhelpful, rude and condescending, leading me to not using this company.

Over the three years it took for me to get organised and sort out listed building consent, Green Building Renewables were helpful and patient. The installation was smooth and the installation team were lovely. Post-installation support has been wonderful, too. Staff have made themselves available to answer all my questions. Thoroughly recommended.

From start to finish the installation went like clockwork and the whole the team were so friendly and helpful.

The first person I spoke to at Green Business Renewables advised me of the quantity of solar panels and the battery I needed and sent someone to look over the layout of my house. I then received a quotation which I accepted and agreed a start date. The scaffolders arrived a few days before the installation team who worked their socks off. Next came the wiring up and their senior electrician linked it to my router.

He also installed an app on my mobile so I could read the data 24 hours a day – a bonus that I was unexpecting!

I am delighted with the outcome and GBR could not have been more efficient.

Rang on Monday to get a quote, which they sent. Have been trying for 2 days to contact them by telephone at their Colchester office, but can’t get through to anyone. Which makes me wonder how difficult it would be to get assistance in case of a problem.

I had a very good experience with Green Building Renewables, the price was the most competitive quote but there was no cutting corners on the installation. Everyone was very helpful and the installation team were friendly, efficient and helpful if I had questions

Great people to do business with from start to finish - and even during a few hiccoughs with the grid network operator. Couldn't fault the diligence or hard work. We had additional PV panels fitted, an old inverter swapped out and batteries fitted. There was a fair bit of unforeseeable complexity from the existing system (fitted by someone else) but all problems were solved seamlessly. On top of that, the team were all pleasant to have in our house.
