The first tutor my son had was great with him but she left then I had two othe tutors one wouldnt turn up half the time which wasnt great. I have been trying to cancel my subscription for month as it automatically renew when I finished my payments for 12 months and now they wont cancel it no matter how much I ask. Dont use this service if you just want 12 months to help your child its a nightmare to cancel

My nephew absolutely loves Simon! He has been a great help to him. I am very thankful that I found such a great tutor for my nephew.

The lessons helped me a lot. Like the topics I was struggling with Joanna neumann was able to help me connect with the right tutors, that helped me understand the topics more. One of my tutors mehak Munir was veryy helpful, she even helped us out of lesson hours and she was able to give us university tips, which was really helpful. Also Evans akanbi was helpful with my maths.

We had a package of 24 maths lessons with Imo to help prepare my son for his National 5 exams, and the experience has been excellent. Imo was incredibly patient, supportive and always explained things clearly, helping to build my son's confidence as well as his understanding.
My son really enjoyed the lessons, and we saw a noticeable improvement in both his knowledge and confidence. We were so happy with the support that we'll definitely be booking more lessons after the summer holidays to help him prepare for his Higher exams next year.

My son is enjoying his math tutoring and has now catch up on the subject he was struggling with the most.

Very helpful tutorials

Terrible expereince with Go Student. How they have set up our membership has resulted in them asking for another months money at the end of the 12 month contract to be able to access the final months lessons

When phoned about booking told of my daughter’s dyslexia and would match with suitable tutoring. tutor had no experience with people with dyslexia and was studying at uni and not even the subject she was teaching. Not told about 5 months membership and had to pay for last month even though she had left school and had no use for it.

My membership was set up that i paid the month prior to the lessons. 12 month membership came to an end and was advised i would need to pay for another month to access the remainder of my lessons, and then would need another month to access the additional month, and would be stuck in this cycle unless i was prepared to cancel and loose £200 worth of lessons.
Update - I was advised to book a call back to have my issue resolved, no call back. Was told sometimes this will happen if they are busy or something else has cropped up. Not much point booking a call back appointment then huh

My child has been taking lessons with Isabella for the past three months. After every lesson, he says, Good! Enjoyed it! I’m really happy to see his confidence in English subject growing, along with his interest in different parts of the subject.

Very thorough commited in the tutoring she was providing and was able to make a connection with my child which further encouraged my child and gave her confidence

Glaymar is a wonderful Spanish tutor! Lessons are always engaging, well-structured, and easy to follow. She is patient, encouraging, and make learning Spanish enjoyable. I’ve gained confidence in speaking and understanding the language. Highly recommended!

I have been a user of your platform for over 2 years now. It was time to extend my subscription again and I had about 10 unused lessons. I wanted to start from September onwards again and asked to transfer my remaining courses, for which I had paid in advance already. The response I got was shocking. These guys told me that It’s impossible and that either I use all of them by end of month (which is in 1 day) or these 10 lessons will burn. 0 flexibility, 0 compromise.

It is in my opinion not just wrong but also utterly stupid to abandon your loyal, high LTV (I have probably have spend several thousands on your business so far, would spend even more) users like that for such little greedy maneuvers. In the age of AI where your products case and need is questionable, it is in fact an audacity to treat your customers like that.

Wanted to drop this review in case you had no idea how the support treats your users. Not sure it’s by design this stupid or if these guys lost control of what’s going on in this business, but no wonder people flee Gostudent en masse because of unprofessional and stupid stuff like that.

Don’t touch it - misleading and fraudulent practice
I needed a maths tutor for a few months ahead of my sons GCSE’s and found a couple tutors that ticked all boxes and were available via another tutoring platform - I was then contacted by Guliad Ahmed regarding my enquiry, and was told that the platform I enquired on was part of the GoStudent network (warning 1) secondly both tutors that I thought would be a great match were no longer available but I should have a taster lesson with another on their books (warning 2).
I my son went ahead with the taster lesson and said that Maanav understood his gaps and was more than capable to get him through his GCSE’s which were in 4 months time. Despite a few times cancelling lessons with limited warning and not responding via the ‘chat’ system them have, was an OK tutor.
Guliad contacted me after the session and tried to sell me a number of lessons a month which would be enough for a couple of different subjects (not required and warning 3). After an extensive chat I was offered the flexi-plan which was 4 lessons a month which can be cancelled given ONE months notice. Diligently I tried to cancel as soon as the last required payment was due - so here is warning 4 - you can’t! So I made a complaint and was contacted again by Guliad 7 days later who tried to sell me more lessons OR I can pay a lump sum to revoke subsequent payments, I reminded him of our initial conversation and he agreed he would get it cancelled and also to arrange invoices to be sent and I would be contacted within 48 hours, obviously no contact so I cancelled my bank card. Unbeknown to me they can still take payment - which they have. Leaving me with no option but to close my bank account.
I will also be reporting GoStudent to the Office of Fair Trading for their business conduct, fraudulence and mis-selling

The tutor is able to pick up on if I am struggling and will often explain things in a different way if I don't understand.
I get on well with my tutor and feel my maths has improved a lot since starting with my tutor.
