Fun playing volleyball

Everyone was at a similar skill level and the ref was very helpful and attentive, while also being laid back. Very quick moving and organized, we had lots of fun! I only wish I had received the schedule sooner and clearer instructions about how to get there - it took me a bit to find the address.

Great way to stay active and make friends

I’ve been playing netball with GO Mammoth in SW London for 5 years. It’s a great way to stay active and make friends. Many umpires are great and very highly trained but some are very new. Often we get both umpires but not always. The standard communication from GO mammoth is good but if things change they can be slow to inform people.

Fun, social mixed football league

Most GoMammoth leagues are really well run. Our experience playing at Somers Town has been great!
Our previous experience at Copenhagen Primary school wasn’t as good - but that was more down to venue issues which were out of GoMammoth’s hands.
Overall, I would definately recommend using GoMammoth!

Go Mammoth Basketball

Playing basketball at Go Mammoth is a good part of my life. The friendships I have made are invaluable. I have enjoyed it because it has given me competition. Since I started my first Late Summer League for basketball I have been matched against very good players. This has driven me to understand the game better and practice more. Although I still haven't managed to close the gap in ability and scoring points, I am still motivated to win more. It has also encouraged me to watch basketball games to learn from the best and apply it to my league games.

Lovely social netball league

Lovely social netball league with really friendly teams and a good standard of netball played across teams. I really enjoy being part of this league. 4 stars due to the umpiring which can sometimes be hit and miss although I think that is usually when they are training more umpires to make sure we have enough for all matches.

I am very satisfied

I am very satisfied. I returned to basketball after a long period. It is the best relaxation after all the work and stress and a complete discharge of energy. Good refereeing and environment.
I am 45 years old. If you are wondering about age, it is never too late to start again.
I recommend it to everyone.

Rip-off

I've been playing 5-a-side with GM for 5 years now. The pitch we use (Angel) has no facilities - no changing rooms, no water, no toilet, no 1st Aid, and the balls are often flat and falling apart, and the nets in a state of disrepair. Despite this, they continue to squeeze what profit they can from us, raising the cost frequently (it's already the most expensive of leagues) and reducing the time allowed for half-time, and in between games. There have been many instances of them telling us the game has been cancelled due to double bookings, of the pitch (Somers town), or some other reason, 5 minutes before the game was meant to start, after we'd all travelled there. Despite me asking again and again to take me off their email list, they continue to send me emails to invite me to new leagues, even though I've made it clear (about 6 times) that I'm already in 2, and aren't looking for more. We'd have sacked them off a long time ago, but sadly they seem to have the monopoly for mixed leagues. If another provider comes along, we'd switch in an instant, and most of the teams in our league feel the same.

Paid over £100 to join a football…

Paid over £100 to join a football casual league ran by go mammoth. Arrived for first game and it kicked off 20 mins late as the first game had still not finished. We were provided with bibs which smelled absolutely terrible and like they had not been washed for weeks. At the beginning of the second half the ball was kicked over the fence into the garden. Turns out the referee had only brought 1 good football with them. We then stood about in the rain for another 15 minutes while they tried to find another ball as the ref brought no spare or a ball pump. We ended up using an old waterlogged flat football for the second half that belonged to the school. The ball was so bad that the referee asked if we wanted to abandon the second half but we had already travelled there so we continued. We ended up finishing nearly 40 minutes after were supposed to. Absolutely shocking product for the price. I asked for the price of the first game to be refunded and they argued that we still played a full game. A game played with a flat water logged football in unhygienic kit that finished nearly 40 mins late. Some service...

Very little customer service

Very little customer service, they will constantly email you to try to grab your money for other leagues, but for the league you have paid for, you are on your own with no updates provided or very last minute communications about whether your games are going ahead or not. Paid £90 for a league of 8 full matches in September, have received one 15 minute friendly and no replies to emails to return my money. For signing up as a single participant, we have been put into teams with insufficient players so obviously nearly every game needs to be forfeit. Wouldn't recommend at all. Wish there was another option.

Hi Claire,

We’re really sorry to read about your experience. This isn’t the level of service or organisation we aim to provide, and we completely understand your frustration.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — we genuinely want to help and hope to hear from you soon.

Out of words really...

Unfortunate that they have a monopoly on this type of structure.

Been playing for 4 seasons now, and the issues just keep growing. As mentioned in other reviews, the refereeing is very bad and usually accounts for lost games (this is consistent throughout London as I have been told many times). Since I've started, multiple people in the league have been injured multiple times due to illegal screens, people grabbing you from the neck and shoulders during a layup, elbows flaring head and ribcage height, and the moment you mention it to the referee they ignore you. Same aggressive players will continue to play as such for the rest of the season, injuring more people with no repercussions.

Many teams will also make the play-offs, and will then reach out to friends of theirs who are clearly at much higher level of the sport and ask them to play the play-offs and finals (these same people have never played on the league previously).

Played a whole season with no basketball nets, and when people had reached out to request to push the venue to have them fixed, they were told it will happen but never did. The only time the nets got fixed was when players bought the nets themselves and had it fixed. Multiple games were also cancelled back to back in the recreational and intermediate leagues.

Customer service also lies to you and when you call them out for lying, they get defensive and make up stories. Unsure whether phone calls are recorded, however they should be moving forward for the sake of accountability.

The only people that seem to really enjoy the leagues, are people who aren't too interested in having good quality games, but just want to show up and play. You would find that many players within the leagues would also have 1-star opinions, but don't bother to speak up.

Like to take your money & provide nothing

Incredibly frustrating company to deal with, midway through a season and we have not had any games since 09/09/25. I have asked for a refund for the remaining games multiple times to just be given a copy of their terms and conditions. Terms and conditions don't negate consumer rights.
