Lefty female golfer appreciates Golf Avenue

I’m a lefty female golfer, still learning what works and what doesn’t and it is very challenging to find L flex left-handed clubs for a reasonable price. Golf Avenue is one of the places I use regularly to look for clubs, because their selection and club condition rating system are above average across the used club industry. Some of the clubs I’ve purchased at “very good” condition looked practically brand new when I received them.
I’ve also recently traded in clubs and found the process easy and the trade-in prices fair.
Customer service has always been responsive and helpful.
Golf Avenue is one of my go-to’s for golf equipment.

Beware…

I was initially excited when I stumbled upon this site—it seemed so simple: they mail you a box and a shipping label, you send in your golf clubs, and they pay you a fair price. But that illusion shattered quickly. After they received my clubs, they hit me with “issues” and a lower revised quote, which I grudgingly accepted just to move on. Then came the real horror: trying to get paid via PayPal. It was an absolute disaster that dragged on for weeks with endless delays and excuses. When I finally demanded they return my clubs, they flat-out refused, claiming it was “too late” because they’d supposedly issued the payment—news to me, since I never saw a dime. It took another agonizing week of frustrating back-and-forth emails to finally get PayPal to actually process it.

driver not as advertised

Bought a driver that was advertised at 12 degree loft. The driver had an adjustable head that was set at lowest setting i.e. 10 degree loft. They did not send me a wrenchto adjust. they did offer to send a free tool but wanted to charge me $20 for shipping. If they truly inspect their clubs, they should return them to factory settings before shipping or include the torque wrench with the purchase

USD on Canadian site and No free shipping

Had my eyes on a set of irons on the Canadian site for a couple weeks while I shopped around even though the American site had much more to choose from. Finally purchased them and unbeknownst to me was charged American funds and shipping and tax on the shipping. Why would I order off an American site and pay shipping and tariffs on top of that? Customer rep assured me that I bought them off the American site.. but did offer to reimburse my shipping cost. Avoid golf Avenue

I purchased a club and a few other…

I purchased a club and a few other items from this site. I didn't have any issues. I then decided to sell two high-end drivers to them, each currently retailing at USD 599.99 each. They were very lightly used (I disliked both), and I was quoted CAD 215.00 each for resale. I accepted this, though it was a very low offer (I intended to buy a couple of new irons for my wife with the money).

I sent the clubs in as requested. Not only did the resale take 2-3x longer than expected, their customer service guy, Samuel Mallet, treated me absolutely poorly as we discussed how I'd be paid (I signed up for e-Transfer because I am Canadian with a Canadian bank account, though I shipped in the clubs from the United States).

Samuel then offered me CAD 160.00 each, for a total of CAD 320.00, and a "bonus" of 20% because he would only provide me with online store credit. So, now I have CAD 385.00 at a store I don't want to support, and I was ripped off for two premium PXG drivers.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE. THEY ARE TERRIBLE. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS.

Told Me I Sent in a Different Club

Frustrated with my recent trade-in. Sent in a club with a value of $75, but the Golf Avenue team told me I sent in a club with a value of only $35 (then wanted to charge me $10 to get it back). Luckily I took a photo of the club I sent in beforehand!

I traded set of irons in

I traded set of irons in, they checked it over deemed that they were in condition as described, they try to send my money through my Yahoo account could not. I gave them my Gmail account they sent it there, but it wasn’t set up to receive money. And nobody would answer my email back or help me through the process, so I think their customer service is horrible.

Awful Trade In Experience

I’d have to say the whole trade in experience with this company seems like a real bait and switch. I’ve traded clubs for years with established brands like Callaway Pre Owned, Global Golf and 2nd Swing with no issues whatsoever, but this will be my first and last time dealing with golf avenue. When you purchase through them, they will offer you what seems like a really strong trade in value and also offer a 20% boost. When choosing a new driver this seemed to be an attractive offer so I sent in my used driver that was essentially in like new condition. Once I purchased and received the new driver from them, two weeks later I get a notification that my trade in was rejected and no other details. When I emailed for details they claimed there was a crack on the driver head which was certainly not the case when it was mailed in and packaged very securely to prevent any possible damage. Long story short, don’t waste your time or money trying to trade with them and stick to the better known brands as these guys seem to be running a total amateur operation.

Very poor experience

Very poor experience. Purchased a fairway wood new. When arrived the box was damaged and the product was broken beyond repair. Emailed and called, but no action from them. I had to go through my c.c. company to dispute this charge.
I would not recommend buying anything from them. Customer experience is very poor.

Do not deal with this company. I sent my set of irons in 3 weeks ago. Called and asked where my payment was. Their response was we are not able to do any payments at this time. I guess my $400 set is gone

I purchased a putter from them using a couple layers of buyer protection just in case since they aren't a big name in the US. They are absolutely 100% authentic and a real shop. I ordered my putter late Friday afternoon and it was on my doorstep early Monday morning and packaged well. Would recommend for sure.

Bought a full set

Bought a full set. I was a little concerned when considering buying used clubs. The description of the condition of the clubs were fair and accurate. Shipping was quick.
About 5 months after purchase, the shaft of my driver broke and they covered it under warranty without question. Super happy with the service I have received and will consider them again on my next upgrade.

Be careful. No price matching. Return costs a lot of shipping cost

I recently purchased the Taylormade wedge and the price was $203.
And I found the same one on Taylormade website that they sell on sale price $189.
I asked Golf avenue for price matching, unfortunately they didn't match the price.
Then I told them that I will return, and they said it will be charged for shipping cost which is more a price difference.
They can't help me because it's return policy.
Actually it was my stupid choice to shop on Golf avenue instead searching other websites.
Better find other store next time.

Clueless sales team, not competitive

Clueless sales team. I wanted to support local and went back and fourth on a few emails and calls, ultimately got a Ping G430 driver NEW at Golftown for less than the price of a used at Golfavenue. I also got 4x better trade in at Golftown on my old driver. End result saved $300 on a new vs a used. No brainer.

I've dealt with Golf Avenue on numerous occasions and have always had a positive experience whether it be ordering, trading or returning items. They're quick to respond to correspondence. The products are always as described or even better. I highly recommend these guys, give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
