Lovely room but, pillows were lumpy and hard. They did change one but it was still very hard. Slept without any in the end. Neck ached for three days after.
Bath had no slip mat. After having shower room was drenched in condensation. Toilet paper was wet floor was wet, all my toiletries were wet. Window was open and fan on. Next day we put the shower on lower power and kept the door open. Better.
Gave payment card on line when booking and gave it in as you do when we left and they mistakenly took payment twice which they corrected later when realising their mistake.
Breakfast was good though and coffee Teifi was delicious.

Firstly, we were put into a tiny room overlooking the kitchen entrance which was noisy and claustrophobic, especially as we had 2 small dogs with us.
Secondly, we had breakfast the next morning of Eggs Benedict. My husband had it with bacon and I had it with smoked salmon. Our holiday was walking the Pembroke Coast Path. 8 hours later at Fishguard I was overcome with stomach cramps that led to the worst diahorrea and vomiting I've had in years. I was so ill that for 48 hours I could not move away from the toilet and we had to rearrange all our walking plans. When I've had d&v in the past it's been hard to pinpoint the culprit. But this time the smoked salmon was the only different food between my husband and I all day (we only had small snacks on the walk).
I've written to the hotel but had no response. No apology. The good bits at The Golden Lion were the room staff who were very kind to our cramped little dogs and the wait staff were also very helpful. The manager was quite arrogant.
