I’ve had the most amazing second trip through GoEco in South Africa this time at a wildlife conservation ranch. The wildlife ranch was amazingly run and so magical. Had the best time working with the wild animals and learning more about them.

The GoEco Big 5 volunteer project at Siyafunda Research Station was fun, interesting, rewarding and educational. Ranger guides are very professional and informative. Living in a bush camp made it very immersive.

WFFT is a well-organized, well-run program that helps animals of many species thrive after they can no longer be released into the wild. Everyone working at the organization is dedicated and unfailingly helpful. This is a physically and emotionally challenging trip, and the accommodations are very basic. But what you get out of helping—for an organization that cannot exist without volunteers—is simply amazing. I highly recommend GoEco and WFFThailand.

The whole experience was fantastic. The organisation, communication and preparation were clear on GoEco's side. I felt able to ask questions if need be but most information had been covered through the meetings and information packs I had received. At the project I felt like I was making a difference and the staff there provided me with extensive information regarding the work they do and how to fully engage with them and the wider community. I really appreciated the whole experience. Thank you.

First of all the people i met along the way became like a second family to me and it was amazing spending time with all the people our guide was amazing and so was the staff, secondly i learnt so much about wildlife that i didn’t know before and by the end of the trip i could identify most animals and genders of the animals with ease. It was an absolutely amazing experience being with such amazing people and being in the wild connected with nature, i highly recommend it to everyone.

This was my first time volunteering and I was very pleased with it overall. As a 60-year old I wondered about fitting in as these programs tend to attract younger people, but I felt I proved up to all the tasks required of the program and made a few new friends in the process.
I would definitely do another volunteer project through GoEco; their communication and support was great throughout.
And my advice to anyone interested in volunteering? Do your research and understand what is expected of you, but mainly just go for it because they are memorable experiences in so many ways!

Traveling half way around the world to volunteer effort, time and energy on marine conservation takes trust. GoEco delivered, far exceeding any preconceived expectations and hopes we had before arriving on Naifaru. The entire team provided thorough support, training and guidance so that we could participate, contribute and perform to our utmost potential. We left with a tremendous sense of achievement, accomplishment and countless unforgettable memories.

Go Eco review
As a slightly older volunteer (in my fifties) I was a bit nervous about what it would be like to volunteer abroad but I need not have worried. The Go Eco team were very supportive in the lead up to the trip and checked in with me whilst I was away as well as when I got home.
I received such a warm welcome on arrival and was helped to sort out my phone with a sim card so I could use it whilst away. The programme itself was so well organised; varied and interesting and the staff and other volunteers were friendly and helpful.
Everything about the whole experience was wonderful, from caring for the animals to the food and accommodation. I could not have had a better time. My only complaint (and it is a big one) is that the time went by in a flash and I wish I had gone for longer!

I didn't have to worry at all. From the time I arrived at the airport to the end of the program I had total support from the team.
When I scheduled a call the response was immediate. All of my questions were answered with professionalism and courtesy.

ReefCI is passionate about nature and conservation. The leaders were knowledgeable and friendly. If you love to dive, and "dive with a purpose," this is the trip for you. Many invasive lionfish were captured and the on-site chef prepared them deliciously! It is an enlightening experience to spend a week without internet or cell service. Easy to bond with fellow volunteers!

Overall, my experience with GoEco was positive. The program was well organized, and the local team was supportive and responsive during my stay. The project itself was meaningful and gave me the opportunity to engage with the local community.
Overall, I would recommend GoEco to those interested in volunteering abroad and gaining hands-on experience.

I volunteered at the Walkabout wildlife sanctuary in Australia. I took part in the daily caring for the animals which include cleaning enclosures, food preparation, maintenance work and other kinds of work to make the life of the animals better. It was very hard and exhausting work but at the end of the day it was all worth it because you get to be close to beautiful animals and nature. You learn valuable things about it all, and you get to work with the most dedicated people, people who loves the animals so much that they spend their free time to care for them as well. I would highly recommend this place.

I liked the coordinating and the whole experience, but considering the price of the accomodation and everything i think it should be less expensive or atleast plane ticket included in proce
Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage is truly an amazing experience! The Wilson family (and the staff) are so welcoming, that I now feel part of the family.
The accommodation is fantastic, and the work itself with the animals is so rewarding, and I felt like I was truly making a difference with wildlife conservation. This place has my highest recommendation!

GoEco answered all my project questions, and assisted me in completing the pre-trip forms and requirements. They were available during the complete process, and followed up at the completion of each Project.
I have completed the following Projects:
2024: ZANZIBAR, TANZANIA - Dolphin and Marine Conservation
2025: SOUTH AFRICA - The Big Five Wildlife Reserve in the Greater Kruger
LILONGWE, MALAWI - Wildlife Rescue Center
KENYA: Maasai Mara Lion and Wildlife Conservation
Upcoming 2026: BELIZE - Private Island Marine Experience
I am finalizing two additional Projects in 2026.
All completed Projects were well organized, had experienced and professional staff, provided many learning opportunities and time to enjoy the experience. I highly recommend GoEco as they provide volunteer options all around the World.
GoEco was FANTASTIC.
From start to finish I received incredible support - they provided detailed information, worked with me to select a program that would be a good fit and were responsive to all my questions before and during the experience. I can't say enough wonderful things about this organization and I am already thinking about where I want to volunteer next.
Costa Rica-Sloth and Wildlife Rescue Center
I was able to spend two weeks in Costa Rica volunteering at the center. We fed and cared for the many sloths, parrots, peccaries, Capuchin monkeys, coyotes, and I believe an Ocelot or two. I also met some of the most wonderful and amazing people from all over the world! Young or old it didn't matter. We worked together, ate together, played games and even slept in the same dorm. Vanessa and Laura (founders and sisters) were the most amazing women I have ever had the pleasure to meet. They are filled with such passion and commitment for their countries culture and wildlife. I am deeply grateful that I was able to be a part of this experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Italy-Liveaboard Dolphin & Whale Research Expedition
What could be better than to be on a sailboat off the island of Ischia, Italy for one week! Nothing! The crew and volunteers would sail out daily from the port in Casamicciola Terme into the gulf of Naples hoping to spot dolphins, whales, sea turtles, etc... and we did! Data was collected on the sightings which provided important information on the population and habitat use. The food on board was simply amazing and it was prepared by our chef captain! A mouth watering experience. I was also able to sleep on deck under the stars each night with breath taking sunrises and sunsets. The crew were helpful, kind and accomodating and the volunteers were of all ages, walks of life and countries! My heart is full!
Thank you GoEco for these experiences of a lifetime!

I might just be GoEco’s biggest fan. I travelled a lot the past few years (>20 countries) and my favorite trips ever have all been volunteering projects I have done. My latest ones were the Bali and Lombok Sea turtle conservation projects. An incredible journey with many lessons learned, not just about turtles or marine life but about me as a human. I will always recommend them to those who are willing to go through life shaping experiences.

The team is really nice and responsive! I think the documentation/on-boarding could be a bit more organized, but overall really happy with how everything turned out!
