The trip to the top was amazing. Our guide was great, the team was well organized. Everything after the hike could have been skipped. The “tasting” was terrible and the Sicilian lunch was average at best

Climbing up Mount Etna had been on my bucket list for some time and Go-Etna did not disappoint. The comms about the trip and pick up time were very good. Our driver turned up on time and made the journey enjoyable by pointing out various things of interest along the way. At the trekking centre the Go-Etna team ensured that we were allocated to the right group. The actual trek was brilliant, our Vulcanologist Daniel was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about the volcano, it was obvious that at all times our safety was paramount. I would thoroughly recommend the Go-Etna team.

There are a number of options to tour Mumma Etna. The important attributes of Go Etna are the transport is in small groups with a guide in each vehicle.

The tour was door to door tour and punctual.

All guides have a great personality and were fun. They have an enormous knowledge not only about factual information but also about the mythological stories that have evolved ove the many centuries.

Thank you to Francesco who was our main driver and shared a wealth knowledge about the Mumma Etna area, Marco who guided through the Lava tunnel and up to a number of craters and Massimo for our trip home. They all made feel very special.

You get to experience a number of guides over the tour which is good.

The tour was great! Francesco explained us a lot about etna and the hike was not too challenging. If one is at least a bit fit it should be fine. The views are breathtaking.
Definitely take some thin scarf or a mask with you, because the sulfur can be (depending on the wind) extremly nasty.

Having taken countless tours in Europe and beyond, I can say Marco is at the top of a list great guides. He and his cohorts not only led us on a fun expedition, but they're experts about the geology and history of Mt. Etna. Really enjoyable. It's a don't-miss if you're in Sicily.

It was a great pleasure to join the tour with Francesco and Marco.
They were great guides and learned us more about "Mama Etna" and her history.
Also the Alcantara canyon and river was a great experiance.
We recomand GoEtna and these perfect guides. Wel done....

The English speaking guides had a lot of great knowledge of Etna how she was formed and kept the day fun and entertaining. Pickup and drop off was easy. Good communication on the whole experience.

We booked two visits to Etna with Go-Etna and both were amazing. We went on the sunset tour, beautiful and amazing. Davida our guide was absolutely brilliant, had so much information and led us up the paths to reach a height enabling us to watch the sun setting. A small group of six made it that extra special as we got to know one another quite well. A visit to the usual tourists shop and cafe was really good, we bought so much, preserves, including honey and chocolate and of course the famous Pistachios that are farmed literally on the side of Mount Etna. We were picked up from our apartment in Catania and it was a lovely ride through villages situated high up in the hills and dropped off back there later that day. The sunset tour is to be highly recommended. Thank you Go-Etna and to Davida

We also booked the 3200 mtr day trip, as with the sunset tour it was amazing, hard to put into words as it was an experience we will never forget. Picked up once again at our apartment in Catania, this time by Marco who, like Davida was so full of information. It involved a ride in the cable car and then a four by four up to 3000 mtrs then a short walk for a further 200 plus mtrs. You could clearly witness the Stromboli's, loud cracks which added to the fun. This was followed by lunch, four courses, including wine, the standard was perfect. We got back into Catania about 5.30pm so the day was 10 and a half hours. We did not need warm clothing as it was really warm as expected in August. Thank you Go-Etna and Marco for the most unforgettable experience.
