Really pleasant experience
This is my first experience with The Great Little Trading Company. I asked them for help sourcing a furniture part. Despite the fact that I hadn’t even bought the piece of furniture myself, they responded quickly and very professionally and in such a friendly manner. Sally, in particular, found which piece it was and immediately sent me a replacement. I couldn’t have asked for a better service. Danielle also checked that I had received everything I needed. If only all services were as efficient and friendly as this one, life would be so much easier and more pleasant. Thank you.

Marshmallow play kitchen damaged and poor quality
We ordered the Marshmallow play kitchen for my daughter's 2nd birthday. Time was limited beforehand so my husband only got around to building it the night before her birthday. When he erected it, the wooden counter top was damaged and broken and at risk of causing splinters, towel rail was missing, the magnet for the washing machine didnt hold the door shut and some of the screws didnt bit. It was a shame as such a lovely kitchen. We had a prompt response from GLTC when we emailed them and they issued a full refund to us, just disappointed as it was our first time ordering from GLTC and not to have a kitchen for our daughters birthday.

Terrible customer service, avoid!
After returning my order in May and receiving no refund after multiple emails and months of waiting, it took raising a dispute with American Express to get my money back.
When they ask you to send them (another) email on these reviews, they just ignore those too. And they already had my order number as part of the initial review so why do you need another email?
Avoid this company and if you do want to purchase something, use a credit card so you’re protected.

Exceptional customer care
I have purchased numerous things from this company over the last few months.
Recently I purchased their Toddler Tower. I made an incorrect order re colour so ended up making duplicate purchases.
Sally, from the GLTC customer care team, was sensational. A refund was made immediately upon it being brought to her attention.
Quick, helpful and very kind. I wish more businesses provided this level of customer care.

Very poor customer service
This is an expensive brand which is fine if the quality is of an high standard but that has not been the case. Our shelving unit arrived faulty I immediately requested a replacement which they told me would take ten days. At which I responded I will have a refund instead. They said they had already sent a replacement, strange took 7 days to arrive. I still requested the refund. Another 7 days later the delivery company XPD who had confirmed they were collected at the last minute after my husband took the afternoon off work to be home, changed their mind and said it was too far to collect. Then I had to arrange another collection which was not for another 6 days. I am now stuck with two faulty units and no refund after a total of almost 3 weeks!

No refund issue upon return
Order was received but the item was not as expected, so we returned it. However, we have received no confirmation that the return was received and no refund has been issued. I am extremely disappointed with this company — despite repeated attempts to follow up, we have had no response for months. £70 is a significant amount of money to lose, and this experience has been very frustrating and unacceptable! Seems like I'm not the only one with this experience from other reviewers!

Delivery of items are really slow
Delivery of items are really slow. Part of my delivery was thrown over the fence and part delivery booked for a Sunday when the site is closed. Takes another 3 weeks for delivery to be rebooked if you miss the slot. Almost over a month delivery times! Unable to contact them only by email, so very slow response.

I’ve reviewed the details of your order and can confirm that the item you purchased has a lead time of up to 4 weeks, as advised at the time of ordering.
Your order was placed on 30th August, which means delivery is expected to be made by 29th September to remain within the stated timeframe.
I also noted that a delivery date of 14th September was offered but declined. Since then, the delivery address has been changed twice. While I understand these changes were made in an effort to expedite delivery, frequent address updates can unfortunately cause delays rather than speed up the process.
Regarding your communications with our Customer Service team, I’ve reviewed the correspondence and can confirm that all messages were responded to within 12 hours, well within our advised 48-hour response window outlined in our auto-reply.
Our team has made every effort to assist you, and while I appreciate your concerns, we are still operating within the expected lead time. Therefore, at this stage, your query does not meet the criteria for escalation as a formal complaint.

Absolutely gorgeous items. Ordered the teas art and post office for my granddaughters birthday. They are lovely and well made. Only downside was one saucer was missing from the tea set bit really doesn’t take away from the quality of the items. I have since ordered more for her Christmas presenrs. Recommended
