Disapointed
We engaged GLE Chauffage to install heating and water heater at our home in March 2023. A very plausible salesperson promised efficient service and a responsive after sales service. How we fell for those lies amazes me and the heating system remains non-functioning. It has proven to be the worst investment we have ever made>
From the start of installation GLE Chauffage have proved to be totally incompetent. On the first day they installed the wrong type of water heater, this needed changing and the job whilst completed does not meet the water heater manufacturers standards. Next within one day of completing the work the Heat Pump would not work and showed a H6 fault. It took numerous (I have 21 calls logged) to effect a response to repair. We then had three appointments for a worker to attend and no one called. Eventually we did achieve the miracle of someone attending and a “repair” was completed.
Throughout the summer we have been able to use the A/C, however as the weather turned cooler we wanted to use the heater it simply would not work and delivered cold air. So another marathon commenced in early November so far we have sent 3 emails made 8 telephone calls. The most recent call was on 1 December 2023 when the lady said a technician would call, on asking when that would be she just cut off the call. During this saga we did have three men turn up on the 17 November 2023 who spent an hour looking at the Heat Pump only to tell us that it require “re-gassing” and they didn’t have the equipment advising we would contacted and someone would call us to make an appointment. As can only be expected from an incompetent organisation we still await that call! We presume that the repair required is simple and if carried out would have given us satisfaction and we would not have negative views on GLE Chauffage.
We have been left without heating for some weeks and I am not prepared to accept this terrible service anymore and have taken legal advice. Fortunately my Household Insurance legal protection has agreed to represent us in taking action. I have arranged an independent inspection of the condition of the installation and whether it meets the required standards. This will be used in future legal action.
There appears to be a substantial number of negative reviews about GLE Chauffage. This business is receiving some funds from the government and must be subject to regulations and conditions in receiving monies. Plus there must be a regulatory organisation regarding standards of installation. As there are a large number of customers who are unhappy we would like to explore the possibility of collective action against GLE Chauffage either through the joining of legal actions or some other method. We would be happy to coordinate this.
GLE Chauffage appear to not appreciate that in just taking customers money and then ignoring them that this affects the reputation of the business and will not receive recommendations. So far I have 7 friends who have had Heat Pumps installed and we recommended they avoid GLE Chauffage.
I would advise anyone thinking of engaging this business to look at alternative suppliers. I have never ever received such poor incompetent service.
