Brilliant service

So pleased we picked Gilbert and Rose, the whole process was brilliant, efficient and friendly. The house was sold in 2 days and completed in 2 months. We would recommend them to everyone, we were kept informed at every stage and nothing was too much trouble. Special thank you to Alfie and Michelle for giving that little extra and making the whole transaction stress free.

Fantastic

I sold my flat with G&R and Harry was great throughout. He even had to sell my flat twice!! He got viewings and offers within a couple of days of putting the flat on the market and offers soon followed.
Once agreed, Michelle dealt with the sales progression and she was brilliant from start to finish. We had constant communication and she was always making sure things were being done across the whole chain.
It has been a very long 9 months but I don't have a bad word to say about Gilbert & Rose, in particular Harry and Michelle.

Estate Agency done differently - fantastic !

I would highly recommend Gilbert & Rose to anyone thinking of selling their home. These guys have broken the mould and offer a unique service that you won't receive from anyone else. Friendly, professional, fresh and exciting approach and all the team are just so enthusiastic and eager. They really invest themselves and make you feel special as a client. Absolutely loved dealing with them and they are brilliant at what they do and sold our house within 3 days.

Absolutely outstanding - a special thanks to Sam, Spencer, Erica, Ben and Katie - it was an absolute pleasure. Such a wonderful brand using new and fresh ideas - you are all so smart and your yellow marketing theme is so individual. We wish you all the success you deserve.

Best estate agent in Essex

I would highly recommend the team at Gilbert and Rose. From selling my home start to finish the service was absolutely exceptional. They’re really like no other estate agent I’ve dealt with in the past and made the estate agent I was buying from look like complete armatures.
Thank you so much to Perry and Michelle. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else x

Disappointing experience

Despite reading many good reviews on here our experience with Gilbert and Rose was unsatisfactory. We purchased 2 throws totalling nearly £100. Both within 2 weeks have lots of bobbles and look tired and old already. Apparently 'they have not been used in the manner for which they are designed.' We found that the letter we received in return of our complaint was rude and unapologetic. We would not purchase from this company again. You have given small independent companies a bad name.

Further to your response, we are absolutely disgusted with your attitude towards our complaint. We have used the throws on our settee. We don't have pets and have only used them as a throw should be used to decorate our settee. Within our first use, there were masses of fluff on our wooden floor, this got worse and we felt it was unacceptable, hence the complaint. We have numerous photographs which prove the use and also the condition of the throws over the time we had them. It is clear that the sellers are unwilling to accept there could be any problems with their products. We realise this isn't getting us anywhere, and therefore we are drawing a line under it. It is our first negative review that we have written and we are all for supporting small businesses, but feel we've been met with a rude a presumptuous attitude.

We do not normally respond to feedback on Trustpilot but in this instance we feel we must. The throws in question are a good quality brand that our customers are very happy with. We actually own a couple ourselves and one of them is more than 7 years old and is still in good condition despite being used regularly.
The throws in question were in possession of this customer for just 18 days before receiving the complaint. We were quite alarmed by the claimed condition of the throws and we wanted to see the damage for ourselves and raise the issue with the manufacturer.
It was immediately obvious from the extensive poor condition, that they had been mis-used. Both throws seemed to have suffered edge to edge damage and both were almost worn through in the centre. One also had a dark stain on it. This amount of damage could not have happened in 18 days if they had been used correctly.
We raised this issue with the manufacturer and their Quality Control dept agreed with our view. They also confirmed that they have had no complaints about this batch of throws.
It is with great sadness that we had to refuse a refund in this instance as it is the first time in 5 years that we have had to do this. We are a small family business doing our best to provide a good quality service and we take our feedback seriously. We do, however, have to draw the line somewhere to protect the business and we hope we do not have to refuse a refund for another 5 years or more.

Excellent service
