I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could. I purchased a pair of straighteners which got lost in transit. They refuse to refund me due to their "investigation" They take over £100 of your money and won't refund you. Whilst it's not their fault the item went missing, it is their responsibility. Their customer service is diabolical. Sadly I realised too late that they were overpriced and you can't cancel the order, you have to return it at your own cost (that's if it ever gets delivered)
For a global company, they are shocking. Use another company, I've heard good things about cloud 9 products & their customer service is amazing.
Who has £100 to give to a company and wait weeks for it to be refunded?

Recently purchased expensive GHD hair…

Recently purchased expensive GHD hair straighteners for my wife, using Topcashback cashback however GHD canceled the cashback with no warning. After contacting their customer support they have been very slow to respond or deal with the matter. I only purchased through them to get this discount. Please avoid as they do not support customers.

I’m on my 5th pair ofGHD’s

I’m on my 5th pair ofGHD’s. Every single pair have stopped working after 2 months by displaying the dreaded red ring of death. GHD are amazing at sending them back and sending out ‘new” pair free of charge but the issue is, I do not believe that they are new. I truly believe that they are refurbished. And because of this fact, they are not living past the two month mark. This is absolutely disgusting of GHD. I’m not don’t anything up towards the straightener. It’s clearly down to the fact that they have serious fault issues as they keep dying. Iv contacted costumer services which is a complete joke as they are passing the buck and not actually answering my questions properly. Even Martin Lewis has reached out to them on his resolver platform. Never buying GHD again.. cloud nine all the way!

Poor service

Thought I’d treat myself to new straighteners and ordered the new chronos straighteners - meant to select the max. Agreed that on their webisure it says no changes but there’s a 21day return policy but as I had requested my name they are no refundable and non returnable in the 2min after I ordered. I phoned them immediately about my mistake a their only reply was they are personalised to we can’t change them or do anything about it. Even though they haven’t been personalised yet and I phoned even before the confirmation went through. Apparently they have no way to reach out to their own warehouse about orders that haven’t even been fulfilled. I am aware it was my mistake but they leave no room to fix anything and are not a company o would use again. I’m now left waiting on a product I don’t want that hasn’t even been personalised or dispatched and their refund policy the no quibble policy dosent apply as I selected personalise - even though there was simply NO possible way this could have been done in the 2min following the order placement. Really unhelpful in terms of anyone making a mistake and I would not reccomend them to anyone nor will I be using them again

I received a ghd Hairdryer and Diffuser…

I received a ghd Hairdryer and Diffuser for my birthday and after only a couple of uses, the diffuser no longer fit with the hairdryer. I reached out to customer service and their only solution was for me to purchase another diffuser. I then saw other reviews stating the same issue, which leads me to believe that this is a manufacturing issue. If you only need the hairdryer, it might not be bad, but I have curly hair and need the diffuser. I will not be purchasing from ghd in the future.

False Incentives

They shouldn't sign themselves up to Top cashback and then just decline the payment. They're dangling a carrot to get you to purchase and then when you do they snatch the carrot away. I love the products but will stick to third party retailers in future. Very unprofessional.

Cannot Amend Delivery Address!

I wanted to amend a delivery address following a failed delivery. Evri only offer a 'trusted neighbour' or 'safe place' option so I hoped that GHD could change the delivery address to my work address which is in the same town. I used the chat function and once I'd managed to speak to a real person I relaised the chatbot was more helpful. The reason given for not changing the delivery address is that the warehouse works on a real-time fulfilment process, this does not explain why an order cannot be amended though. Lazy and very 'computer says no' attitude to customer service.

If there was an option to give 0 stars I would. Such a terrible unprofessional company to buy from directly. I ordered 3 x duet blow dryer in November and it took 6 phone calls numerous emails to receive them all finally today almost 2 months later. They also apologised and said they would like to say sorry by sending some products for free since they had €840 of my money and no delivery for 2 months and in the end sent me one little bottle of heat protection. Pathetic, their products are great but I will never ever again buy directly off them.

Would never buy from GHD again

Would never buy from GHD again. Service has been awful, asked for complaints procedure 4 times and then got a cheeky email from a senior manager supposedly saying sorry can’t do anything to help but here’s 20% off a new product. NO THANK YOU!!! I’ll take my money elsewhere and buy a cheaper product that will actually do what it’s supposed to do!!

Shocking customer service

Customer service? I don’t think they even understand the word. I accidentally ordered the wrong product for my wife’s birthday and there was zero help in trying to get this rectified for me. I was told I would have to pay to return the item and then could no longer used the discount code I had so would end up costing me about £65 more including the postage.

DO NOT BUY FROM GHD. They Will not honour warranty

GHD will not replace my straighteners that are faulty due to no cause of my own which are 5 months old.

I purchased some GHD straighteners in March 2024. The wire end of the straighteners became lose and then started to make a buzzing noise and then finally made a bang which stopped them from working completely, even the wire was able to come completely detached from the straighteners as it was so loose. I thought it would be a simple process to request a replacement as I could be certain I had not caused the damage myself. I was also well within the year’s warranty.

They have accused me many times whilst going back and forth by email that great force must have been applied or they have been dropped which is quite hard to hear when I know this is not the case.

Do not order from GHD as they can not guarantee you the warranty you deserve.

Faulty! GHD refused to pay returns.

I bought GHD original straighteners online from the GHD shop. Order dispatched 16th October 2023. Received yesterday. Today, 18th October, I called to report that the bleep to let you know the straighteners have reached temperature was not working. After going back and forth, Nikki, the customer service advisor told me that I could return them but I would have to pay postage and packing as they were "still working" even though they were not bleeping. Disgruntled at the very least! I was not happy from the start as when asked for my order number Nicky (I don't know spelling) said "no no no that's not the right number it starts with a 2!" Definitely needs some customer training. Nowhere on my invoice does the order number that starts with 2 appear.

About GHD, heat protect spray

About GHD, Heat protect spray; “bodyguard”.
Don’t go there ….unless you want to smell as if you’ve been bading in an old fashioned and very heavy parfume !!!
I used it this morning and even though my hair is short and it’s 12 hours ago, I still can’t get rid of the smell. Smell like old woman!!!

Purchased as a gift and there was an offer on at the time. My bad as I didn't process the sale correctly to "add" the offer. When I explained what had happened I was told there was nothing they could do unless I returned them and did a new sale??? This makes no sense, would have meant an additional collection and delivery and possibly not been delivered in time to give as a gift. Great product, terrible service.

I order straighteners from GHD and on…

I order straighteners from GHD and on opening the website was offered a 15% discount on first order. I picked this, was given a code and proceeded with the order. At the checkout the 15% wasn’t applied. I tried phoning without success so ended up having email correspondence with GHD to be told I could only have one offer and I was getting a free gift so couldn’t get the discount. I never asked for the free gift of some hair product. There was then an issue with delivery and I was asked if I wanted a new set of straighteners sent to the same address. I advised I did not want a new set but wanted a refund. I was advised this had been processed and to wait 3-5 days for it to reach my account. On the fifth day I still had no refund and phoned them to be told my refund was processed on the day I phoned and I had to wait another 5 days for my £179 to reach my account as there had been a technical hitch!!! Everything about dealing with GHD was a nightmare. I knew I should have gone to Amazon.

Very disappointed in GHD I have bought…

Very disappointed in GHD I have bought many sets of these straighteners as they are the best, but ive cganged my opinion of them, I have a pair they have a fault, the button switches on but no power then ut turns on itself, i wrote to head office, was told dont offer repairs, and they could offer 15% goodwill gesture well GHD are doing a 15% campaign off atm so I was offered nothing, I will not be buying GHD I have gone elsewhere

Crappy Warranty Policy

They have the worst warranty policy ever!!!! My GHD broke after less than a year. If your GHD breaks, you have to pay for the shipping back to them. Most companies will give you a shipping label. Then once they get it back, it takes up to two weeks to get a new styler. That's almost three weeks without a styler....
It's kind of frustrating that put you through all these hoops because their product is faulty. I have to pay for shipping and be without the straightener for 3 weeks when they are the one with the faulty product.
Lastly, their warranty says that if you send back a limited edition one they will replace it with whatever they have in stock which also sucks if you really like the one you have!
