Easy to book & accurate descriptions of tours. Cancellation/rebooking straightforward & app works well

A disastrous and very disappointing experience.
We booked and paid for a tour for two people through this agency.
The evening before departure, which was scheduled for 7:30 the next morning, we were notified at 9:00 p.m. by the company that was supposed to operate the tour that it had been canceled due to the bus driver's inability to make the trip.
At this point, we contacted GetYourGuide customer support, who, in person, informed us that the refund would be processed within 3-5 days and that we would not be entitled to anything else. In fact, and here's the paradox, they invited us to book another tour with them two days later, but informed us that they only had one place available (!!!): not only was it a loss, but it was also a complete rip-off!
The damage was considerable, especially since we had added an extra night's accommodation to our trip specifically to take this tour. Thus, paying for an extra hotel night for nothing. Our complaints and requests for further compensation for the damage caused and the insult suffered were to no avail.
Since the dawn of time, any company that cares about and protects its customers, faced with such a poor service (to put it another way), would have offered a voucher for a future occasion, or even compensation.
This agency relies on and sells tours from operators who don't even have the means to replace an unavailable driver (and that also says a lot!).
When we also asked to be contacted by one of their representatives, we were told that if we wanted, we could call them ourselves...
The refund could also have been made in real time, since the payment method used was a credit card, so the transaction could have been immediately reversed.
No receipt for the refund was provided to us.
However, when we asked how to leave a review so they could warn all potential customers of how this agency treats its customers, the same operator repeatedly deflected the matter.
An hour after our chat, we also received an email from the same operator reiterating that, due to their fairness (?!) policies toward suppliers and customers, we were not entitled to any further compensation: readers can draw their own conclusions!

Of course, we have the entire chat transcribed and documented via screenshots.

We hope this is helpful in warning anyone who might wish to use this agency in the future.

Worked very well for us, everything went smooth

We booked our Colosseum tour of the attic in Rome. It was originally scheduled for 3pm. A few days before the tour we received an email that it had been rescheduled for 2 pm. This added stress to our vacation since we arrived by ship to the port which was a 45 minutes drive. We still had to find our scheduled driver, get to the hotel, drop off our luggage and get a taxi. After all the hurrying we got to the meeting point and then said we had to wait 20 minutes, seemed unnecessary since all six of the group were there.
Once the tour began we impressed by our guides historical information and she got us through all the long lines.
The price although known from the beginning, I felt was overpriced at 330 per person.

we purchased a coach from Krakow to Auschwitz on 24th April. The ticket clearly says the bus left at 9.40. We arrived at 9.25 as per the instruction but the bus didn't show. We then called and was told the bus left at 9.20. We therefore had to make our own way there as we had tickets for Auschwitz booked for a set time. We had to book a taxi which cost £56. Get your guide acknowledged it was theor fault, offered us £36 in discount vouchers. When I refused and said I wanted it in cash, they reduced that to £16. Be very careful what you book on this app/website. Nothing is run by them and Information is sketchy at best. On the return trip, there was no information whatsoever about where we were getting picked up and it was a public bus, so we probably paid way over the odds anyway.

Recently booked 2 excursions totalling £180 .
It was nothing like what was advertised on the app .
Each day was rushed , no guide and not enough time to see much of Kotor or Perast .
As soon as we waked down to the water falls we had to go .at Perast we had to time to absorb the beautiful scenery or go for lunch . We had a boat trip included but that never happened.
Our driver was rude and swearing most of the time .
And to make matters worse we spent more time at the border crossings

This company has a great variety of experiences for sale. They communicate well and support when things don't go to plan. I would use this company again and recommend

Prices went down but I didn’t notice until after my payment and was refused a refund for the difference.

We took 2 tours in Iceland booked through GetYourGuide. Both were great and exactly as described including itinerary, pick up/meeting points and duration.
We would recommend!

We booked two tickets on the GetYourGuide website for the Sansevero Chapel in Naples. Five minutes before the scheduled time, they called and canceled the reservation without any explanation. We haven’t received a refund yet, and they haven’t offered any compensation either. GetYourGuide ruined one day of our stay in Naples. It was a huge waste of time and very stressful.

Used this site to book a Hell's Revenge Hummer tour. The site was easy to use with lots of information. The booking process was wa easy. Tickets were delivered as promised.

It was a very easy experience organizing something through your company I must say that communicating with your company is a little bit difficult

We booked in advance a private guided walking tour with pick up, we were at the hotel pick up point ten minutes early and waited forty minutes, no one turned up, Get Your Guide could not contact the activity provider, although we were given a refund, who wants to travel half way round the globe to miss out on a planned experience, not impressed.

We were on a cruise in Europe. We had booked a Get Your Guide transfer from Katakolon to Olympia. The morning of our stop the captain made the decision that we could not dock due to bad weather . Most legitimate tours will refund your money if your ship doesn't dock. Not this one. I would just like that information on the GYG review however they did not publish my review. This was my first and last time using this company. All I saw was 5 ratings before booking with them. I should have known something was up. At least I didn't book an expensive tour with them.
