Super application. Rapide, facile et efficace.

My experience with this app was terrible, and I would not recommend it.

The app allowed me to unlock and use the car for more than three hours without requiring the mandatory "before" inspection photos. It only asked me to upload the photos when I returned it. At that point, it was obviously impossible to take the "before" photos anymore. Fortunately, nothing happened during my trip, but if the owner had later claimed there was damage that already existed, I would have had no evidence to protect myself.

To make matters worse, my €250 security deposit remained blocked for 10 days. After 10 days it was finally released back to my bank account.

The problems didn't end there. After returning the car, I accidentally left my helmet inside. I tried to unlock the vehicle again within the 10-minute grace period, but the app failed every time. I contacted customer support, but they couldn't resolve the issue. I also reached out to the car owner, who completely ignored my messages—I’m still waiting for a reply.

In the end, the only solution was to make new rental booking just to unlock the car and retrieve my helmet. I had to wait in front of the locked vehicle for over an hour until the new reservation started. After I got my helmet back, customer support canceled that second booking so I wouldn't be charged. Ironically, the car owner finally sent me a message—but only to ask why the second booking had been canceled. That was the only time he responded.

Overall, this was one of the worst car rental experiences I've ever had. The service is actually more expensive than renting from companies like Avis, and while having a nearby car is convenient, it simply isn't worth the stress, poor customer support, unreliable app, and lack of communication from the owner.

I won't be using this app again, and I definitely can't recommend it.

Getaround cancelled our reservation the last minute while we had moving house planned. That caused us a lot of stress and additional expenses. We will never again book the car on this platform.

Had such a good experience with KAE. Smooth booking, pick up and delivery. They provided a helpful walk through of the car at pick up.
Would definitely recommend KAE.

Good car in overall, no problem at all with engine or performance, but the AC was not strong enough for a summer day in Barcelona... It would be great if the AC could be reviewed/fixed.

I had an excellent experience with this car. It was clean, comfortable, and felt very safe throughout our trip. The car was easy to drive, reliable, and in excellent condition. It handled the roads around Lofoten perfectly, whether in town or on scenic routes. The pick-up and return process was smooth, and everything was exactly as described. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone visiting the area, and we would be happy to rent it again.

Customer service is nonexistent. The whole experience is a total nightmare. They lie to you after they disappear. The idea is great, but there is no way this company will survive the way it is managed.
