​I came across GenZone through their YouTube channel. Their free educational content is incredible and was a lifesaver while I was researching the move. With so much value upfront via free content, i reached out to organise a time to discuss my move.

I had my introductory consult in the first week of November & by the second week, my trade license and company establishment card were already done. The method of communication is fantastic! Reymel, Darral, Jafeer, and the rest of the team did all the heavy lifting. I literally had zero paperwork to fill or worry about. I'm not usually compelled to write positive reviews; truth is these days it is rare to find a company that even does the basics well, let alone go above and beyond. However, Genzone truly stands out from the crowd, and therefore deserves an honest review.

Like most, when I first considered setting up business and life in a different country, it seemed pretty daunting. Dubai has the obvious advantages of low-zero taxation and very pro-enterprise, combined with sunshine and safety! - but navigating the bureaucracy in a system and culture so different to what I've grown up with looked like a challenge, to put it mildly.

Having done a fair bit of research and following the journeys of others who made the move, the name Genzone kept coming up again and again, always with great reviews. Looking into things further, it became clear to me that they were undoubtedly the go-to people.

My initial few enquiries with Kevin received detailed answers addressing concerns about my particular circumstances, and whether or not Dubai could work for me. Advice was freely given that I'm sure any other company would expect to be paid for. At no point was there ever any "hard sell" - the thing is, as anyone in business knows, if you have a great product it sells itself. This indeed proved to be the case!

Once I'd decided to push the button, everything was so efficient, with clear instructions as to exactly what information was needed from me, when, and in what order. This step-by-step process is excellent, making what is after all a major life upheaval into almost child's play. If you've ever used any of the brilliant books "... for Dummies" - Genzone's service is the equivalent of one of those, you can't go wrong.

I'd decided to make my trip to Dubai to complete the process a holiday too - why not?! - and again Genzone's clear instructions, literally giving photographs of where to go in the airport etc., were fantastic. I flew in from the UK on a Saturday afternoon, reaching my hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning, and spent Sunday just catching up on sleep and having a little wander around. But even across the weekend the Genzone team were busy in the background organising my Medical and Biometrics for Monday morning.

Monday was actually the first time I'd even spoken to a team member - Naufal - who met me at the medical centre and guided me through the tests etc. Though I wasn't expecting to fail, it was still a huge relief to get the all-clear on the medical there and then on Monday morning - such an amazing swift service. As soon as that was done it was off to do Biometrics. So my Medical was at 9.30am, and by 3.14pm my residency Visa had been issued - less than 6 hours all-in! - Amazing.

My ID card was in my hand by Thursday, and by Friday afternoon both Personal and Business accounts were open, with cards and chequebook being delivered to my hotel on Friday (personal) and Wednesday (business).

The only glitch I had in the process was nothing to do with Genzone - the phone provider E& (formerly Etisalat) issued me with a "recycled" number - which is pretty common apparently - the problem I had is that because the number had previously been registered to a WhatsApp account, I couldn't immediately register it myself. WhatsApp requires the reset codes sent to the phone number (which obviously I now had) and also sent to the email of the existing account, which obviously I didn't have. The "help" section of WhatsApp just doesn't work/gets zero response, and E& were no better - I lodged a complaint with them, which just "disappeared" somewhere. At the time of writing this I'm still waiting for 7 days to expire when apparently I can reset the WhatsApp account without having access to the previous owner of the phone number's email... hopefully that will work! - the point here is to say that Genzone swiftly advised on a workaround, and it has not adversely affected setting up anything for my Dubai residency or banking etc.

The takeaway from my experience with Genzone is that what really shines out is they have a dedicated team of real people, all very knowledgeable about the process in their particular field, and that is what makes such a massive difference in these days of automated A.I. chatbots which are never of any use whatsoever in my experience!
