I am trying to get my unit repaired and…

I am trying to get my unit repaired and nobody will go near it because it’s Gemini, the only advice I am given is “get rid of it asap”, I have tried to contact Gemini, but the UK phone line is a PREMIUM NUMBER and I can’t call it on my tariff, so I emailed them, they told me that the unit is obsolete and they can’t help me!

This unit was very expensive, i paid £650 for it, a CDMP7000 Professional Media Station 2 years ago, and they are more or less telling me to scrap it!

Based on the fact that Gemini or GCI technologies have not helped me in any way in getting my unit repaired, I would have to advise anyone in the UK to avoid their products like the plague, they’re expensive and when you need assistance there isn’t any, only poor advice, it’s worth saving a bit longer rather than waste your money on something that is cheap and nasty and doesn’t last 5 minutes, stick with Pioneer!

Avoid Gemini DJ Equipment

I have a reasonably expensive controller manufactured by Gemini DJ, it’s in great condition for its year, almost how it left the factory, but it has a few minor faults that need attention prior to use or even re-sale, however other specialists such as Technics or Pioneer won’t touch it with a barge pole, infact nobody will go near it even independent repair shops such is the reputation, I have contacted Gemini and their response was ridiculous, it goes as follows “it’s an obsolete model, we won’t have the parts so your best bet is EBay”, it doesn’t require parts, it requires abit of soldering here and there that’s all and that’s what is having a unit that cost me £650 kept sitting idol gathering dust, which I think is out of order, I’ve recently emailed GeminiDJ for a known specialist here in the UK 🇬🇧 that can deal with my issues but I have not received a response, in light of this I would have to advise all those budding DJs out there that are looking for a set of turntables, CDJs or a controller to learn their craft on to use anything but Gemini products because if they develop a fault they then become scrap, unless I can get my model a CDMP7000 looked at, I’m going to have to bin it off which is a shame because the faults are minor and there’s not a mark or sign of wear and tear on it…
