Absolutely disgusting behaviour and business from this company. We ordered two trees, a palm tree and a dwarf lilac whick. They sent the wrong tree instead of the lilac, which was basically a stick with a few leaves. We tried for 10 days to get in touch with them but their AI generated chat kept postponing the investigation by 3 working days, every time when we were writing something on the chat. We asked to speak to someone on the phone but this was denied, then we asked for a refund but no one answered our claim since. Steer away, stick to a physical store and avoid this online shop at all cost

I have ordered previously from gardening express and although delivery can be a bit random my order has come in the end. However the last order I made only partially arrived and the chat facility which I assume is AI is less than useless at finding the lost plants. I cannot get to a human to resolve this which leaves me both out of pocket and very frustrated.

This company does sell amazing value plants but it does unfortunately have no qualms at all about decapitation so they will fit in the box size that has been allocated. I would rather pay a little more and get all of the plant.

Order came on time, didn’t really know what to expect on delivery. Delivery man was polite and delivered them with care. On opening they looked ok, they were packed well and secure. I managed to get them planted the next day, can’t wait till they start growing. Only 1 issue was that some of them had no identification label on them, but I managed using google. Will buy again from them in the future.

Purchased pack of 3 "Lime Zinger Picea" several months ago. One plant was almost dead on arrival and in a few weeks the other two went brown and died. Trying to contact this company is a nightmare. It is almost like they do not want to speak to you. You deal with bots and would never use them again. The only reason to leave my review is because a family member, quite independantly, also used them to order 2 patio "Fuchsia Trees" as a birthday present. One tree was in a very sad state on arrival and the other died several weeks later. I would question the quality of their products, customer service is non existant (I want to speak to a person not bots) and the prices are low. I would never use this company again.

I am very happy from my purchase. I have plenty of plants at home already. But these all 5 are new additions. They are not common plants which are readily available at super stores. Though they are smaller than I expected. But they are perfect.

I am really disappointed with my order,and the level of service. My order arrived on the 18th of August. The items were clearly damaged, with lots of broken plants, and they are not in the condition I expected to receive them in.
This is certainly not the quality I expected, and I am very unhappy with the condition of the order on arrival. I contacted the helpline and emailed as soon as I opened them on the18th and I still have not been contacted back yet!
Their auto response said expect a reply in 5 days which is poor in itself, however I am still awaiting a response . I have would like this resolved, please, either with a replacement of the damaged items or a full refund.

Have bought from G E before. Arrived later than I anticipated but company did let me know due to extraordinary weather etc that there would be a delay. Still waiting for some items to come through. The Stipa gigantea was fine, the Gaura " The Bride " is looking beautiful, still covered in flowers, Buddleja " Santana" looking good and after overnight rain and being out of packaging has perked up well but very disappointed with Passiflora caerula. I was expecting a much more advanced specimen, it arrived looking very pitiful and a bit yellow, I have planted it but it doesn't look good at all, a shame because almost everything I've ordered from them so far has been perfect. I will contact them and follow it up if P.caerula fails as it should have been better, have grown them before and they are usually tough as old boots, live in deep west Cornwall so climate fine and have worked for many years in horticulture.

You can get plants you won't see in garden centres at a much cheaper price.

Great selection of plants. Delivery isn’t fast but it’s worth waiting for.

Plants arrived as expected in terms of maturity and in very good condition.
Everything was really well packed. Not even one leaf had fallen from a plant inside the boxes or any soil.

I have used Gardening Express for many years and highly recommend them.

Really disappointing experience with my Swiss Willow Tree. It arrived appearing crooked, with what looked like a branch having been hacked off, and the leaves dried up very quickly. Sadly, it simply didn’t appear healthy when it arrived.

I waited just over the 14-day period in the hope that it would recover and improve, but unfortunately I was grossly disappointed. Despite contacting customer services, the adviser was persistent in stating that they could not offer any solution — no refund, replacement or even goodwill gesture was offered.

This is particularly disappointing as I’ve been a loyal customer and have spent a considerable amount with the company over the past few years. I expected better, and
sadly this experience has left me seriously questioning whether I would order from them again.

Plants arrived later than expected but very health plants well packaged and watered. Planted in garden,roots appeared healthy.Looking forward to seeing them in bloom next Year.

Excellent quality plants, very well packaged arrived in good time and are looking great in my garden.

Wonderful choice

Poor quality plants delivered on the hottest day of the year; this is after they said they would not deliver during recent heatwave. spent time talking to their bot which assured me someone would contact me. I sent an email to their “Ineedhelp” address with no response. Very poor. I spend over £200 on two plants that were not in good condition.
