Gardening Express Reviews 

Plants arrived late and bashed up box plants piled on top of each other some look dead. I tried to speak to customer services but it's auto not a human who just ran me arround the houses. No solution what so ever. So no more orders from me I have previously had plants that were ok but now I see the bigger picture no back up its terrible plants packed upside down tapped together really bad.

I used to spend large amounts on multiple orders for several years until one of the large shrubs, a loquat , which was over £80, arrived full of diseased foliage and stem. The company firstly refuted it, then insisted i use original packaging and pay for the cost of the return, which would have been as much as the item as very heavy. Absolutely terrible quality of plants, below satisfactory customer service. To add insult to injury they then sent me a stuffed gonk , WTF, as a thanks for my custom. That went straight in the bin. NEVER SHOPPED WITH THEM AGAIN.

Fantastic experience every time I have ordered from gardening express. Plants always arrive well packaged and healthy. I highly recommend them!

If I could give zero stars I would , order two patio rose planters . Well after waiting a while they eventually turn up by a local courier service nothing special about them . Arrived ina box far too small for the plants both squashed together pot completely squashed . Rose heads all damaged and one plant no heads at all . Was told a metre tall , just under 79 cm . They were drooped on all sides absolutely terrible. Would never recommend this company to anyone . Try contacting them I was told five days someone would get back to me , after seven I then got told to wait three weeks . In which time all this time the plants are still in the box , I'm refusing to have anything to do with them . They have no phone number and I don't believe it takes three weeks to reply to someone . I'm now pursuing a trading standards complaint against the company

I wish I had read the reviews on this company before buying anything from them. But there you go!
I purchased two established climbing plant last year. When they were delivered the boxes were battered. The plants were around 1.4 metres tall. One plant around the bottom 50% of the plant was bare from poor maintenance assumed by gardening express.
Both plants shortly after planting started to get wilt and began failing. I contacted customer services who said wait until the new growth starts next year which I did. We are now in to the following year and both plants have failed and have died. I have contacted customer service who just say send it back and we will give you a voucher. The postage costs are at my cost. Which to send a large plant back is nearly as expensive as just buying the plants again. This is all small print. Very poor customer service responses, just from a cue card. No understanding of the fact the guarantee they provide is pointless to a consumer.
I asked if they had a discount code instead so I could at least save some money on a new purchase. They just sent a stock response that cited their guarantee terms and conditions.
I will not be buying anything from this company again!

Usually items ordered in the past have been fine, but a little disappointed with the plants this time, l was amazing for the price, and I ordered bird seed in tubs to find l of the containers was split causing seed loose in the box, items are always packed very well, but could have been in transit,

My acer arrived with massive and obvious leaf scorch and since one branch has withered and died.

It was obviously sent out with the blackened leaves.

Plants arrived today looking half dead.
This is the first delivery of two orders, heaven knows what the second will look like?
The plants were reduced but are still expensive for what i got.

The plants I received bore and bears no resemblance whatsoever to the image on their website, had i seen these in a garden centre i would not buy them. I am unable to upload photos as my smallest resolution is to big to send.

They sell by false advertising

I ordered 5 x Ageratum Monarch's Magic in the end of season sale, anticipating that mature plants would be difficult to package and unlikely to arrive undamaged. Yes a few stems had to be pruned off, but the plants very quickly recovered and are absolutely beautiful, buzzing with pollinating insects. Great product, the hype definitely matching the reality! Excellent service from Gardening Express.

Easy to order, good descriptions of the plants and deliver within leadtime

Part of my order took a long time to come, and was damaged when it arrived, and I'm still waiting for the other part to arrive

Although a previous customer this time tempted with the special deals which could not be missed. Even with the delivery delays worth the wait. Garden Express did apologise therefore customer communication excellent. Overall would recommend Garden Express as an A* online service for your garden needs.

Plants are always great...well packed tiptop condition! They keep ypu up to date with delays etc
Packing is expensive especially as its Evri and my deliveryguy is very poor😬

The express in Gardening Express fooled me, two weeks later and no sign of anything being sent out so try getting your money back, I am told that they wont deal with me for some days and then it will take up to ten days for the monies to be returned. Appalling, do not use them at all is my advice and ask them why they are called Express! Its a joke

Excellent service, plants delivered on time and in good condition

I’ve ordered several times from Gardening Express and have always been happy with my plants . They are very good value , arrive well packed and healthy . Delivery can be a little slow but given the quality and value of the plants it’s worth the wait .
I would definitely recommend this company .

Fortunately, the plants suffered a lot less damage than the box! Reasonably healthy conifers, although there are a few small brown branches to cut out. I was a little bit disappointed with the colour range of the plants - one slightly gold, four very green and no blue. Still good value.
