We walked to Gara Rock hotel for lunch…

We walked to Gara Rock hotel for lunch from Salcombe along the coastal path and it was a no booking 1st come procedure.
We arrived at 12pm and were soon welcomed by the fantastic smiling lady at the booking desk who greeted all guests including their dogs!
We had Sea Bass and Mussels with fine wine and our two ‘Super helpful servers‘, Saskia and Megan were polite, friendly and nothing was to much trouble in the two hours we were there. Food was amazing and perfectly cooked and we will be back and probably stay too.
This is in contrast to a lack of decent 5 star restaurants in Salcombe that were even taking non residents or were Pub like. Our only question was does the 10% service charge go to the wonderful staff as the credit card machine also asked if we wanted to leave a tip! If not please give these two ladies double the receipt- ref 104769 on 22/9/20.
