Wonderful clean apartment

Wonderful clean, well-appointed apartment. Location is great. The rental process was very efficient and we would absolutely stay at this apartment again.

We booked for Broto BCN apartment for a hen party.

We booked for Broto BCN apartment for my sister in laws hen do. Lovely apartment, great location, good size living room and kitchen. The only problem we had was with the hot water ran our after 2 showers and with 8 girls trying to get ready for a night out this was not very convenient. We called the number provided and they said wait a while to see if it heats up again and also unplug it, we did this but still not joy and they advised they couldn't send someone out the next morning as the maintenance person had gone home. We were leaving the next morning so seemed pointless.

First Class

Our first and not last visit to Barcelona was made perfect by our stay in this beautiful apartment. It was bright, modern spotlessly clean and was in an excellent central but not too busy area, ideal for sightseeing and access to the metro and bus services.
Thank you Friendly Rentals you will be our first choice when we return to this beautiful city.

Poor service

1. We were required to show up at their office in Valencia and pay everything in advance. Despite sending our arrival time, when we called from the airport at 9:30am, we were told the offfice didn't open until 11. Then asked to please not show up right at 11 because they needed some time in the office before we arrived. Left to make our way there and waste time hanging out with three huge suitcases until they decided to open. We got the keys and were told there "should be some taxis" at the end of the street. No one accompanied us to the apartment to give us any further information about the place. First time I've ever encountered this.

2. Toilet didn't work when we arrived (this is why agents accompany guests to the rental properties) and remote control for the air conditioning had been removed. When we called to inquire, Angel took it upon himself to immediately insult "you Americans who just want to turn on the air conditioning all the time." The insult was unprofessional, and advertising a feature that isn't available borders on unethical. I'm currently covered in bug bites because the apartment was hot, and of course, there were no screens on the windows.

3. The system for rubbish disposal is complicated-all rubbish needs to be sorted, and the bins are down the street, around the corner and two blocks down the next street. It's almost unbelievable that they gave none of this information to the guests. Instead there were notes all over asking us to make sure and leave trash in the bins outside the door. Really unprofessional.

4. The paint was peeling in the bathrooms and should be repaired, due to hard water, the shower heads are crusty and gross, the outdoor area furniture is grey from weather, the induction stovetop is great, but difficult to operate, better instructions needed.

To sum, service was really not good, and I certainly wouldn't rent from this outfit again.

Poor customer service and bad idea for payment

The apartment we rented through Friendly Rentals was everything that was described and worth the cost. It was easy to set up and the website provided all the information needed. I was disappointed on just paying Friendly Rentals their money for their part of the rental. The places you rent is paid in cash with the additional deposit and cleaning fee upon check. It was an inconvenience to be traveling in another country and take out over 700 Euros from an ATM. You are to meet with the contact person who collects the money and shows you the apartment. Our contact person changed the day before we arrived and the contact person never showed. The contact person's "friend" showed about 30 minutes late as we parked on the sidewalk illegally waiting for the "friend" to show. She did not take any money and had no idea about the money. We tried contacting both the contact person and Friendly Rentals numerous times and did not get a response from anyone. It wasn't till we mentioned that we owe money and we have to leave for a Madrid flight that we get a response from the contact person. We ended leaving the money on the table and never met the contact person. It seemed that once Friendly Rental got their share of the money, they left us hanging and took no responsibility. Poor customer service that cost us lot's of extra time and undue stress while on vacation. I like the idea of paying all the monies owed prior to traveling.

BSB (f) Lemon** BCN apartment

Friendly Rentals were very helpful, obliging and courteous.
Lemon Apartment:
Major Pros: Location perfect. Best part of town for a tourist. Clean and attractive building. Open space in apartment gives great feeling of comfort and spaciousness. Comfortable and good size beds. Fully equiped kitchen and appliances. Brightly lit with windows and shutters open. Very quiet with windows closed. No noise at night. Good interior lighting.
Minor Cons: No full length mirror for dressing. No hand soap. No washing machine soap. As English speakers we didn't know which soap to buy for machine. Telephone for local calls would help.

Great experience overall

The apartment was everything we hoped and more! Plenty of space for 6 adults to cook, eat and sit comfortably. Four great sized bedrooms and three brilliant bathrooms all clean and well maintained. Perfect location for exploring Barcelona, with Place de Catalunya, a metro station and Las Ramblas just across the road. Friendly Rentals staff at both offices (weekend and weekday) friendly, courteous and helpful. Would definitely recommend the company and apartment.

Great value

Great value. Nicely furnished property. Felt welcome by the staff and really safe in the property. We even used the Christmas tree in the common area to display our presents on Christmas day. Only complaint was noise from neighbors in the common areas and rooms upstairs could be heard in our room. Other than that, perfect stay. 4.8 Stars.

A good place to stay in Barcelona

Very conveniently situated,clean, comfortable and a bargain. Two clean but spartan bedrooms with adjoined bathrooms and shower. There is a living room with a sofa, table, chairs, refrigerator and stove. Well situated on the same street as the Palace of Music, near excellent tapas restaurants, and with supermarkets and sit and vegetable shops a few feet away. Much more comfortable than hotels. Highly recommended. The office staff were extremely helpful.

Very pleased with the experience - slight facility issue

We recently rented an apartment with Friendly Rentals for a five night stay in Barcelona while visiting from the US. We were very happy with the service and interaction I had with the Friendly folks while I was searching for a deciding on a provide and then a location. They were very helpful describing their process and helping me decide which part of Barcelona best fit our needs. Registration was simple - beautiful and accessible office in downtown - efficient. Our apartment was exactly as advertised - clean two bedroom - two bath - plenty of room and comfortable. Great kitchen - spacious living room - and a fantastic view of Placa Catalunya. The one thing I would highlight is that the apartment was a bit worn - the master shower leaked into the bathroom floor do to a bad seal along the glass. The toilets did not flush properly and there was limited hot water. Maybe these were do to a long rental season (except the hot water) - but away from that we were very pleased with the whole experience. I would rent with them again.

Friendly Rentals' BSB Sky Blue apartment in Barcelona

We stayed at BSB Sky Blue apartment during our Nov 2016 vacation in Barcelona. This apartment is offered by Friendly Rentals who were absolutely a pleasure to work with. The apartment is clean and nicely furnished. It is small but includes a terrace which allowed us to enjoy afternoon siestas. It is in a secure building, centrally located in the old gothic area, within walking distance of major attractions and restaurants. Overall, two thumbs up to this apartment and Friendly Rentals!
