FreshCo. Kitchener Homer Watson

Too much of produce is from USA and is wilted. Some fruits had discoloration with browning sunken spots. You are asked for proof when purchasing alcohol even though it’s clear you are past 60. Even LCBO doesn’t require. Way to International for me, won’t be back.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Deeply Disappointed by Declining…

⭐☆☆☆☆ Deeply Disappointed by Declining Standards at FreshCo Evanston NW, Calgary.

I’ve been a loyal customer at this FreshCo for quite some time, but the store’s quality and service have gone downhill dramatically. Prices keep rising while customer service standards have completely collapsed.

During my most recent visit, only one checkout was open, and the line stretched unreasonably long. The cashier was clearly struggling without any visible support. I approached the front-end supervisor—who wasn’t even wearing a name tag—to ask for assistance. Not only did she ignore my request, but she also appeared completely disengaged and indifferent to the situation. I later learned her name was Sweta. Her lack of professionalism and unwillingness to help left a very poor impression.

It wasn’t just me—other shoppers were visibly frustrated by the lack of organization and leadership in the store. FreshCo Evanston urgently needs to address its staffing shortages, improve employee training, and restore a sense of accountability and customer care. Until these serious issues are resolved, I’ll be shopping elsewhere.

When I went to pickup advertised item…

When I went to pickup advertised item first thing Thursday morning they never had the items. Refused rain check about it because it said while quantities last even though they never had any of the item in the first place. I find this a lot with Chalo Freshco in Millwoods Edmonton.

I would like to send a VERY positive…

I would like to send a VERY positive review for one of the managers, Rick, at FreshCo Fergus. Rick was very helpful to an old guy who was trying to learn grocery shopping and needed help. With managers like Rick, you can expect friendly and competent customer service. Also, FreshCo's prices help out with our out-of-control food prices. THANK YOU, Rick!

SHAMEFUL LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE & COMMUNITY SUPPORT

September 27/25. Pathetic customer service! Bought large quantities of mini chips, hot dog condiments, buns etc. etc. for a CHARITY bbq. Got rained out by a torrential downpour. Freshco refused us the return of 4 boxes of mini chip bags because it was a couple days past 14 days of purchase. As a charity we are accountable for all funds and as such, desperately needed that refund. Now we are stuck with unusable mini chips and not only raised zero funds, but are in a deficit. Thanks so much Freshco for showing absolutely zero community support of our Lewy Body Dementia research fundraiser. Absolutely shameful!!, as the rich just keep getting richer by stepping on everyone else. The items were unopened, in perfectly sellable condition. Would it kill the owner of the Huron Church Rd. location in Windsor to have refunded the $52+tx with the receipt?? Doubtful. Would it have helped our charity immensely...absolutely. Please don't support the Huron Church Rd. Windsor FRESHCO location. They care nothing for their customers nor their community!!

I am disgusted at the service provided…

I am disgusted at the service provided at the Barrie Freshco location. I went in on Sunday August 9th to buy coffee that was on sale in the flyer. They had run out of the item, so I asked for a raincheck from the boy at the cash register and had to wait while they double checked that the item was out of stock. He went and talked to his supervisor and the supervisor disappeared into the office with 2 way glass for what seemed to be an eternity. I told the cashier we needed 2 rainchecks because my sister was there as well, and he says no problem. Well of course after waiting so long the supervisor (boy) appears with 1 raincheck. So has to go back while we wait again. Fine we got our rainchecks. That isn't even the kicker. I try to use the raincheck later at another Freshco and they tell me that they don't accept rainchecks from other Freshco's. So I message head office and they say that the raincheck can be used at all stores and they will look into it. Head office responds to me that it is basically a fake raincheck and the Barrie store says they don't use those kind of rainchecks! Why on earth is the Barrie store using fake rainchecks? And if they think it's me, why would I make such an ordeal to possibly create a fake raincheck for something that everyone was entitled to in the flyer... For what a measly 10% off when they are out of stock. Not to mention they basically have children as supervisors which is most likely the problem. This is appalling customer service. Beware if you need to ever get a raincheck from this location or company!! Customer service has really taken a hit lately.

FreshCo Sherbourne & Isabella

FreshCo Sherbourne & Isabella. The most uncivilized, disrespectful store I had ever been to. Often it is extremely crowded, while aisles are very narrow, including cashier aisles.
Employees with big carts create traffic congestion, while some rude male customers push ladies and children with their carts, elbows, bodies. Has this store ever heard about respect to human body and hygiene rules?
Too often, security guards are following honest customers, while shoplifters have a field day right behind security guard's backs.

We had the worse experience

We had the worse experience, the manager needs to learn how to treat senior citizens. We are never coming to that store again, Fresco needs to hire managers that know how to deal with customers especially with senior citizens. This particular manager at Fresco in Leamington should not be working there and he was very lazy. Very very disappointing, never coming back

Hi I was in Freshco red deer location …

Hi I was in red deer location freshco with my two kids and my husband in the afternoon. After we did our shopping we went to the cash register as there were line ups we decided to use the self serve registry, while scanning our items we were having a problem as it keeps asking for the login password so the women who were managing all the self serve registry came up and said this is happening because I did something wrong I tried again like she was asking me to do but again it happened and I was confused because it wasn't allowing us to do anything and she was so mad at us and kind of was so bossy . I was confused why she was treating us like the way she did and I kept quiet and left the till for her to figure it out and it turns out the system was acting up and it wasn't our fault the sadest part was she didn't even bothered to apologize for treating us bad. I left the till with all our shopping and ask my husband to be on the line on the next registry when she saw as leaving the till she was yelling at us and saying why we aren't finishing there imagine she was not willing to help us when we needed her help she was treating us so small and very disrespectful. at that point i couldn't ignore it so i went to her and ask her if i can speak to a manager. she told me to wait and went to call the manager then she came back and told me she will be right here to speak to me when she gets time. I won't lie i was surprised how things are going at this point 😳after some time Jane(the front end manager) came to speak to me and i tried to explain what happened and ask her to please see the video how she was treating us but all she was asking was what the women said. At this point i knew whatever i was telling her didnt make sense to her, it feels like this is the standard and there was nothing the women did as per her uderstanding all she was asking was what the women said and she answered her phone call yes she did said she needed to answer the phone as she was the only msnager on duty. Just want to let you know how your team are treating the people coming to shop in your store
If this kind of service is not your standard I suggest you to see the videos between 1pm to 2pm so you can witness it yourself. As per the experience I had with you today I won't advise anyone to shop in a place who treat a customer like slaves.

I live in Ladner, my Freshco is the Ladner Store.. I have seen chicken, turkey , past its due dates, which I have complained about..I was in the store Friday morning, and there were Italian sausage which was marked down, and the smell in that area was rotting meat I told 2 staff members about this. I have never, I my life, u was born in the mid 50's have I never experienced an area in a supermarket where you could smell rotting meat. This is unacceptable..perhaps you
need a new Meat Department Manager.or the health department should be notified.. I'm disscusted with this..

Looking for non USA Produce

Looking for non USA Produce. Many of the signs at Freshco say product of Mexico / USA. What does that mean? My husband has started shopping at Metro because they have greenhouse Ontario strawberries. I refuse to buy USA anything. Freshco needs to get with the times and avoid USA produce or at least provide clearer signage.

This review is for McCowan and Ellesmere.

This place has turned into a 3rd world filth bucket. Cant buy potatoes, onions, fruit. Amost alway rotten garbage fruit and vegetables. Every blue moon can find decent stuff. I've been living in this area for over 30 years but this is brutal. Never mind the rotting furits and vegetables ( i dare not trust the meat), they used to carry quality products like Dececco pasta, Callipo tuna, Nothern King Calamari, too name a few, but anything quality is gone as soon as shelves empty and replaced with garbage. A few more tips: open the self serve in the morning. throw away carts that are seized and useless, a constant episode.

This review is for the store located at…

This review is for the store located at Victoria park & Gerard in Toronto.
Ive been shopping at this store for 17 years, this was my favourite one for years. However, I had a bad experience with the cashier today that changed the good picture I always had in mine about this store at this location... After I was done shopping today, I went to cashier Number 2 to pay for my groceries when I got insulted by the cashier (an old lady) when I tried tapping my card that I had in my iPhone RBC bank app. I tapped and it did not go trough with the first try and that was when the cashier started insulting me by saying that my machine does not like your phone and why can't I get my physical card! I said sorry, I don't have my card on me and this never happened before, let me try again. Before even I was done talking, she said NO this happens all the time and you gotta figure it out quickly! she repeatedly said that this happens all the time and why I don't carry my actual card with me! I have never been treated like this before! that's not how you treat your customers! I have been going to this store at this location for years BUT now I don't know if I wanna go there again!!
People like this lady should not be working, they need to go learn how to treat customers first!!

Prices are generally lower

The Kingston site of Freshco is great. Prices are fair and sometimes hard for other grocers to beat. That and a Scene card membership mean you can save a good deal of money, even though prices are climbing everywhere.

In addition, I enjoy preparing international dishes and can always find the ingredients at Freshco.

The staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

I have shopped here for several years.
