In 2020

In 2020, when 8k TVs are about to become the new gold standard in TV viewing experience, it is completely unacceptable that the main platform for the UK license fee paying population is crappy standard definition, low bit rate, constantly repeated, tired and boring TV. Not worth £150 a year at all.

First of all it's not free!

First of all it's not free. In order to use the service you first need to buy a TV licence at £157.50 as of July 2020. In order to watch or record live TV in the UK you must pay the TV Tax (licence) therefore it can not be free and is falsely advertised. Secondly the majority of content is poor and not worth the £157.50 cost. You are much better with a Netflix or Prime subscription. Do not be fooled by "FREEVIEW" it is NOT free, if you have to pay for something first then it's not free (TV Licence) and the service is being falsely advertised. No TV Licence = No Freeview!

Freeview strike AGAIN!

Freeview strike AGAIN!
Big Channel change on 22/06/2020.
Since then Channel 83 & Channel 96 went from being problematic to Non existent 27/06/20 !
Freeview website is about as much help as a chocolate teapot.
Instructions & guidance make absolutely NO sense at all.
Presumably other channels affected as well.
It's not just my house as my daughter's TV half a mile away has exactly the same problems.
Tried retuning until I'm blue in the face.
Manual tuning instructions????
What or where are they on website.
Am not amused.

Channel hopping...

Freeview, please stop moving the bloody channels around... Just as I start getting used to where the channels are, you bring in a new channel and allocate it to an existing channels location, and then move that channel elsewhere... It's daft, please, please stop...

Twice in the last 4 days BBC 1 and 2…

Twice in the last 4 days BBC 1 and 2 have just disappeared stupid Freeview have the impertinence to say that if they cannot be retuned to the original channel locations you will need a new aerial. 0 stars would be more appropriate

Freeview TV programmes are a waste of…

Freeview TV programmes are a waste of time they lead to dementia in older people because of the crap adverts 50% and continual repeats of the same program. In the police programs most of the police officers have retired by now. To watch an hour's long program takes two hour's a 1 and a half hour movie takes two-and-a-half hours and if I ever see another life insurance when I die advert I will smash the bloody TV. Freeview is not fit for purpose anymore. I now use YouTube and the internet before I end up getting dementia like everybody else today.

The only reason Freeview is so bad is…

The only reason Freeview is so bad is because all they care about is the revenue from the advertisements. Those that can pay to upgrade to sky & virgin get a slightly better service but only just. The signal is so bad that any bit of bad weather, & you either lose the sound or the whole channel completely. I was watching RT news yesterday morning, first the sound went then the picture. I flicked through the other news channels and they were much the same. There should be a watchdog with muscle to stir these fat cats up as paying the BBC a licence every year to watch this dross is unacceptable. Dave, Pick, Blaze, Horror, really shouldn't be allowed to broadcast , in the good old days they wouldn't be aloud to exist.

Utter garbage

Utter garbage

You get tired old programmes, which are then repeated and then repeated again for good measure

Adverts are on more and more frequently it seems and it's just getting to point where I'm not going to bother with any of it as I refuse to pay the premium to watch stuff I rarely watch as it is

TV is dying a death

Pointless

Pointless. Freeview tv is not great at the best of times - endless repeats, increasing screening of hackneyed old programmes from the 1970s, so many adverts making some programmes unwatchable. But their App is a complete waste of time. The vast majority of channels are unavailable. The only ones you can watch on it are the ones that are already available on the iPlayer apps. What century are we supposed to be in? It’s not free anyway, actually, since we all have to pay for a tv licence. It’s nothing short of a joke!

I like the channels, but the experience is destroyed by the constant Life Insurance and Funeral Ads.

Why can't you put decent films

Why can't you put decent films, on. Everything is repetadative. All the programmes are repeat after repeat. Why can't you put something decent on. I'm sick of watching the same programmes and films. Sky is no different, boring and repetadive. You have enough money. Boring, Boring,Boring

Freeview is the Cinderella platform for…

Freeview is the Cinderella platform for the UK. It's main purpose is to help the SKY TV platform on Satillite to prosper. UK GOLD whilst advertised on Freeview is unavailable. The catch up channels are also half that available on other platforms. The constant channel slot updates, again reduce the quality. The reduction in the frequency channels allocation is reducing the amount of channels.
Plenty of shopping channels and American content. Russia Today is increasing its services.
Sky is the Cuckoo in the nest.
NO complaints service for Freeview why?
Watch on the internet and avoid this cowboy outfit.

Thank you to Daniel via Twitter DMs!

I'm currently having signal issues and Daniel was extremely helpful and patient guiding me through their troubleshooting via their Twitter DMs. It looks as though there may be an underlying issue with the communal aerial/cables but Daniel's help was much appreciated regardless!

Freeview who are these inept people

Freeview who are these people and please No1 in the UK who would be so stupid to rate this company who fail at every point.
Freeview channels why are these not all available for streaming to your tv on the Freeview App with live tv on each channel as per bbc iplayer.
Channel 4 that we fund on top of ads - why no mirror casting
Apps you may or may not have live TV on the mobile.
Why this need to use aerials that are so inefficient and from a bygone century?
Why no email contact and this fetish with anti-social media?
