Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 360 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers received incorrect or damaged products, including wrong sizes, items made in different countries, or those with defects. Significant order and delivery issues were frequently reported, such as lost shipments, extreme delays, or parcels marked delivered but never received. Customer service was often described as unhelpful, difficult to reach, and providing misleading information, leading to frustration with refunds. However, some people were satisfied with their purchases, noting good prices, perfect fit, and items arriving in excellent condition. A few others also felt that certain staff members provided outstanding customer service, offering warm greetings and helpful advice.

Excellent

I ordered before looking at the reviews and was honestly worried about my purchase but within 2 days my kids 2 pairs of trainers turned up without any issues at all so I’m pleased to say it’s 5* from me I’m very happy with my purchase

ZERO STAR

ZERO STAR – Utterly shameful. Selling rubbish and hiding behind a broken “support” system.

Foot Locker: where you pay premium prices for bargain-bin quality and then get shoved into an endless loop of excuses when it predictably goes wrong.

I spent £179 on a pair of trainers for my son. First problem? The box contained two right-foot shoes in different sizes. That isn’t a “minor inconvenience” — it’s basic competence. I had to go back to the store the next day and pay for parking just to fix their mistake.

Then the trainers started falling apart within days. The upper began peeling and the sole started separating after normal school wear. Not a month. Not “heavy use.” Days. For nearly £180, that’s not just disappointing — it’s embarrassing that this is what they’re happy to sell.

And that’s where the real farce begins: the “customer service.”

The Cardiff store refused a refund and acted like I was trying it on, despite the fault happening well within 30 days. Then they told me to go through customer service. Customer service then told me to go back to the store. Back and forth, back and forth — like a bad comedy sketch, except I’m the one paying for it with time, money, and stress.

Their support model seems to be:

Stall

Repeat the same questions

Pass you to another agent

Tell you to visit the store that already refused

Offer anything except what you’re legally entitled to

Hope you give up

I sent photos. I chased updates. I asked for confirmation in writing. The response? Vague, scripted nonsense like “secondary inspection” with no timeline, no ownership, and no resolution — just delay dressed up as professionalism.

Let’s be clear:

Selling mismatched shoes is a shambles.

Shoes disintegrating within days is a quality failure.

Refusing to refund within the short-term right to reject period is unacceptable.

A “support chain” that does nothing except bounce you around is not customer service — it’s customer attrition.

This has been a masterclass in how to lose a customer forever. I will never shop here again, and I strongly recommend anyone reading this does the same unless you enjoy paying premium prices for cheap goods and then begging for basic rights.

Foot Locker didn’t just mishandle this — they made it difficult on purpose.

Avoid.

Previous times i bought from them they delayed the delivery and the courier was often times not bothered to pick up the parcel and waited days before even collecting the parcel. Horrible company and just lazy to be honest

Made the order and payment then get an email saying I have requested cancellation which is not true. The order is out of stock. I do not appreciate being lied to.

Foot locker took $300 off my card and…

Foot locker took $300 off my card and then canceled my order and then tells me 5-7 buisness days before the funds can be returned. This is not the first incident i bought shoes from them before and they sent the pair that was on display and the box was torn .

Bought an Adidas originals windbreaker

Bought an Adidas originals windbreaker, Footlocker exclusive. The service was excellent although the actual delivery was delayed by one day, overall the service was great. I bought an XL but realised I needed to size down, so I visited the Croydon store and luckily they had a size large, couldn't be happier with Footlocker Croydon.

Stolen my money after item returned.

They received my returned item on 03 Dec, it is now the 07 Jan and I have not received a refund. They are blatantly trying to keep my money and the item through falsely claiming they are “looking into it” or “escalating” only to never get back to me. A dreadful company who I will never give money to again and will warn others.

I had a disappointing experience at… deptford Mall Nj

I had a disappointing experience at Foot Locker at Deptford mall New Jersey. I took my grandson in to purchase a pair of sneakers, and while the associate who helped us was pleasant, the overall service fell short. I asked the associate for a pair of socks for my grandson, and she assured me they would fit him. When I got home, the socks were extremely small and clearly did not fit.

I called the store and customer service to explain the situation and was told I would have to physically return them to the store. I explained that I do not live nearby, but was still told there were no other options. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was placed on hold for over 15 minutes and no one ever came on the line.

This was very inconvenient and frustrating, especially since the incorrect sizing was due to poor guidance in the store. I expected better customer service and a more reasonable solution.

Poor customer service

Ordered shoes from footlocker last week and paid extra for next day delivery and they don’t give delivery updates and when you email them asking where the shoes are they ignore you. An update or a refund would be nice! Update, footlocker have now emailed asking for a review on the product which they have “delivered”. Still received nothing, thank you for stealing my money and not refunding me.

I received an incomplete order

I received an incomplete order. I called customer service and they said they couldn’t reach the store. I needed to call back. Why don’t you call or email me back. I told you if you even look at the delivery picture there’s no way a xxlarge sweatshirt and joggers could both fit in that small bag. I will be disputing this with my card company.

Exploitative company and horrendous customer service

Customer service for this company is practically nonexistent. I purchased a pair of shoes and paid extra for 2-3 expedited shipping only for the delivery date to change to a 5 day delivery which wasn't what i paid for
I called to have the difference in shipping cost refunded and was forced to talk to a bot that was unhelpful in assisting me with the refund. Then I took up the offer to be called back after being told it would be more than a half an hour wait time but was never called back. While it is easy to purchase and for them to profit they put all these barriers on the backend to ensure people give up on getting refunds and they get to keep your money on undelivered promises.

Worst Experience Ever

Worst Experience Ever – Avoid Footlocker UK!
I placed an order for a pair of shoes in-store and paid £120 on my credit card. The assistant assured me delivery within 2–6 working days. I waited patiently, but there was absolutely no communication – no email, no phone call. After 7 days, still nothing.
I tried calling the shop using the number provided, but it never worked. Frustrated, I went back to the store, only to be told my order had been rejected! No explanation, no apology – just a refund. On top of that, I wasted extra money and time: £5.00 for parking and petrol for two trips of 6 miles each. Completely unacceptable.
Footlocker UK has given me the worst shopping experience ever. If you value your time and money, do NOT shop here. Go to JD Sports instead – they actually provide good service and keep their promises.

If I could I would give zero stars

If I had the option to give zero stars, I would have done so. Please do not order online from this company. Orders get cancelled, and customers are left to carry the cost. I had a Choice Gift Card worth $100. I could have chosen other brands, such as Amazon or Coles, but I selected Foot Locker with the hope of buying a good pair of shoes. On Boxing Day, I visited the Adelaide Rundle Mall store and found the collection extremely poor, with very limited options. Because of this, I decided to order online instead.

I ordered two pairs of shoes, each priced at $49.95, using the $100 gift card. I also paid $9.90 for shipping from my credit card. A few days later, I received an email saying that one pair was unavailable and that a refund would be issued. However, I was refunded only $40.05.

I was completely confused as to why the refund was $40.05 when the shoe price was $49.95. I had to call customer care myself to understand what had happened. Only then was I told that the $9.90 from the credit card would not be charged, which kind of sums up as - 40.05+9.9=$49.95 in value. This information should have been clearly communicated in the email with a proper cost breakdown, instead of forcing me to call their head office.

What made the situation worse was that I was now forced to place another order to use the $40.05 Foot Locker refund voucher, and this meant paying another $9.90 shipping fee. Given that the Rundle Mall store had very limited designs, ordering online again was my only option. This meant another unavoidable loss of $9.90 for me, through no fault of my own.

I contacted head office and requested a free shipping coupon for my next order, as the cancellation was done by them after confirming my purchase. Paying shipping twice was not something I agreed to. For me, $9.90 is not a small amount. It is equivalent to two weeks of milk in my budget or three weeks of eggs. I spent about 30 minutes on the call, during which the representative repeatedly apologised but offered no solution. I asked to speak to someone who could actually help and prevent me from incurring extra costs. Only then did she say she would inform the manager, and the manager would call me.

The next day, a manager called me. I had to explain the entire situation again. I clearly stated that I had committed my $100 gift card to Foot Locker, and their cancellation had now forced me to pay shipping twice. I was locked into shopping with them because the refund was provided as a Foot Locker voucher. I requested free shipping so that I would not lose money due to their stock mismanagement. I made it clear that this situation was not caused by me.

Unfortunately, the manager repeated the same scripted apologies as the previous representative. When I asked to speak to her line manager, she told me that she was the final point of contact and that no further solution would be provided. She repeatedly said, “This is the system and I cannot change it.” This response was extremely frustrating. Systems are designed by people, and they can be adjusted if a company genuinely cares about its customers. I felt that she was actively blocking me from reaching to her boss, despite the clear mismanagement by her team.

Some people reading this may wonder why there is so much concern over $9.90. This is not about the amount. It is about a system that forces customers to pay shipping twice because of the company’s own mistakes. It is about a company that acknowledges the inconvenience but refuses to provide any practical solution, leaving the customer to bear the financial loss.

Please avoid this company if you value fair treatment and accountability.

Worst retail experience I've ever had!

I ordered a pair of Nike Tech pants for my son as a gift for a special occasion and paid extra for courier delivery to ensure it arrived on time. The package never even left the store, and FedEx has no record or tracking information for it. I was told the order is allegedly “lost.”
The event is tomorrow, and the gift is ruined. To make matters worse, Foot Locker was unable (or unwilling) to ship a replacement to a store to resolve the issue in time. No real solution was offered.
This has been an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish — poor fulfillment, poor communication, and zero accountability. A special moment was completely spoiled. I will be sharing this experience on every platform available so others are aware.Worst retail experience I’ve ever had.

Customer Service is None Existent

I purchased shoes online, unfortunately I had to return a pair for exchange because they were too large. Of course, I have not received the exchange or any updated information on the exchange. I have called the 1800 number several times, no one answers or returns calls. The chat bot is a disgrace as no information can be received there as well. I have also emailed several times also with no response. I have even called the corporate number and nothing. I guess I will be taking a loss, and I most certainly will not be purchasing anything else from Foot locker. My how the mighty have fallen. STAY AWAY from Foot locker!
