I placed a paid order in November 2025…

I placed a paid order in November 2025 and received no communication after the stated shipping date, despite repeated attempts by phone and email. No shipment confirmation or cancellation notice. I only got a response from John Greeley when I mentioned “fraudulent” activity.

I was advised that a “credit memo” would be issued, but no refund was actually processed back to my card. After that, communication became inconsistent and ultimately stopped.

Due to the lack of resolution, I had to involve my credit card issuer and am currently pursuing legal remedies to recover the funds. Posting this to warn others. I believe that the product I purchased never existed and this is a scam that these people (John, Pam, Denise) have gotten away with for a long time.

This company appears to only exist to…

This company appears to only exist to suck in unsuspecting buyers of gym equipment to a totally fraudulent offer of sales. They are very engaging during the purchase process and present a very legitimate face. My first clue should have been a request for payment up front to the "owner" John Greeley instead of through a normal purchase process through the 'company". John promised a shipment date of around 1/31. I attempted to follow up on the order and was first told John was out of town but he would contact me. Long story short, I could no longer get any contact with the company. All of my attempts to contact them through their support site were returned as undeliverable and I was not able to cancel my order. When I went to my dashboard on their site it shows no order has been made yet. If there is no further attempt by Fitness Plus to help me with this matter I will initiate legal action against this seemingly bogus company but I suspect I am not the first I hope to get a history of possible outcomes of legal actions against the company and/or owners.

Fitnessplus SCAM Alert !!

This is an awful company. I ordered a piece of equipment and all I have gotten after 3 months is a bunch of lies. I still don’t have equipment and gave up. Have requested a refund and will report back how that process goes. Strongly recommend you NEVER deal with them.
3/1/2025 update
As of yesterday, I now have a promised delivery date of 3/22/2025 by John Greeley. The company contacted me to ask why I left a negative review. Fort the 10th time I explained the same thing to him. I will update this review again once the equipment is received if it does actually exist and get delivered.

the Pulse Group USA inc. / Rebirth Fitness / Fitnessplus.com / John Greeley / Denise Barry

the Pulse Group USA inc. / Rebirth Fitness / Fitnessplus.com / John Greeley / Denise Barry

... about 1 year ago I placed an order for our company with Rebirth/Fitnessplus/the Pulse Group USA for 1 cybex leg press, 1 cybex 45° calf machine and 1 hammer strength bicep curl. I then paid $5,885.00 to the Pulse Group USA account for the 3 machines, including shipping to Germany. Supposedly, the refurbished devices should be ready for dispatch within 6 weeks. That started the dilemma. The contact person assigned to me simply does not answer and does not respond to my numerous emails and telephone inquiries. John Greeley, as "Head of Sales", then communicated reassuringly and actually promptly, so it took me a while to come to the conclusion that the devices were not available at all. What finally convinced me was the statement that certain spare parts were allegedly not available from Cybex USA or are currently not available due to Covid. After my personal call to Life Fitness, this turned out to be a simple lie. I then canceled my order and requested a refund of the amounts paid. First, credit notes were sent to me, which are then supposed to be released for payment by the accounting department (Denise Barry) and the CEO. After there was no response to my request for payment, I received an email from Denise that it would take another 3-4 weeks. After the 4 weeks, Denise was away on vacation and could not be reached again. I then "complained" to John Greeley again, John reassured me with decisive words and after a while Denise emailed me again and apologized again. so the dance went on and on over the summer until I finally escalated the matter to our attorneys for a lawsuit against the Pulse Group USA inc. for payment and to file criminal charges against John Greeley and Denise Barry personally for fraud. We'll see what comes of it. Regardless of the possible outcome in court, after more than 40 years in the fitness industry, I never imagined that people would be so deceitful and always find their victims. How is it possible that people like the aforementioned John Greeley and Denise Barry get off scot-free for so long and push their swindle on and on without a prosecutor really taking care of the matter once and for all and putting an end to the hustle and bustle. to John: I'm in the US regularly as 50% of my family lives there. Assume that I will do everything humanly possible to find you and Denise. just count on it...
