This used to be a fabulous hotel with…

This used to be a fabulous hotel with wonderful food…
It’s so poor now, food is mediocre, menu poor..
Continental part of breakfast is very poor, cheap bread, cheap cereals very cheap condiments.
No one checks light bulbs in the room lists not working, no coffee machine (advertised as room having one) cheap tea bags no coffee at all.
Chipped furniture.
Cobwebs everywhere…
I was so disappointed I can’t tell you!

Well I was really keen on this venue…

Well I was really keen on this venue for my daughters birthday treat.
However, after two emails and having called and left a message with regards to Day spa options and hoping they would call back, ...nothing. so improvement on communication is needed. Very disappointing.

A wasted journey

Dirty room and bathroom . Refused to stay overnight so had a refund and left .
Hoped that the manager would contact me to discuss the issues . But unfortunately they didn’t

Inappropriate music and poor booking in process

The spa and the two treatments received from Lisa were excellent, I can not fault the service given by the spa team.

Unfortunately the whole experience was spoilt by difficulties I had in contacting Fishmore Hall to check on the time of my lunchtime reservation and also the playing of inappropriate music over lunch/coffee. I expected the day to be a relaxing day with my wife, I didn't expect to be listening repeatedly to the 'F' word in the song 'Little Lion Man' by Mumford and Son.

I sent a message on the above points to Fishmore Hall on the 9th August via its' online enquiry portal, I never had a response.

Very poor all round

Very poor all round.
We booked in for two days and were disappointed as soon as we arrived with the grounds (small) in a bad state. The seating areas were dirty with bird mess on the chairs and cushions with green mold. Inside the place is very tired and needs a real spruce up, especially carpets, windows and seating.
Breakfast was okay but the evening meal at £39 per person was terrible. Fine dining it isn't with extremely small portions and no taste. Staff were helpful but the younger ones need proper training.

Fishmore Hall Hotel Ludlow Shropshire

Fishmore Hall Hotel Ludlow Shropshire, may of changed owners, 🙏🏻😁let’s hope that the previous owner and staff (Kent) that responded to guest complaints with no empathy or concern for customer satisfaction have now left the building, along with the nasty smells from the septic tank from the garden. Also that the reviews left on different sites regarding the standard of the bedrooms, hygiene and decor, gets taken seriously. It would be lovely to return if the Hotel has a relaunch, but things need to change to win back guest to part with their money.!!!! Review this hotel in the summer 2024 to see what’s changed if anything.

A celebration afternoon tea

We have just been for a celebration afternoon tea and had a lovely relaxing comfy time in the conservatory overlooking the garden. Food was delicious and plentiful, the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. Special mention for Roseanne and Tilly for going above and beyond to make our time special.

Disappointing

Visited for the first time to try Sunday Lunch. Very disappointed. Starter was fine but meat arrived luke warm and had to be returned. Didn't bother with a pudding. Will not be returning.

This hotel advertises to be a spa hotel…

This hotel advertises to be a spa hotel which suggests that you might be able to use their spa facilities. This is not the case if you book via booking.com. You will not be able to book to use the spa until the same day by which time it will be full with customers who are also paying for a treatment. The owner seems to be aware that this is misleading for their customers but not concerned. If you are looking for a spa weekend this is not the place.
