RIPOFF

Firestone Is A RIPOFF.. If I Had Known That Each FIRESTONE Was Independently Owned? I Would Have Never Gone There.. I Go In For A $40 Dollar State Inspection, And ALWAYS End Up Paying $600 Or More Dollars.. And? I Don't Even Drive My Car More Than 2000 Miles (A YEAR).. And, Using Your Credit Card? Doesn't Help.. When Your Mechanics See That? They're Like Children In A Candy Shop That Has Free Candy.. I'm Done With FIRESTONE.. I'd Be Better Off Buying A New Car And Trading It In Every Two Years.. Incredible...

Store manager calls us up the morning of the appointment and states the tires were never ordered. But he can sell us a much more expensive set of tires

Go somewhere else !!!

I went to a local AutoZone to get a replacement headlight bulb for my wife’s van. I asked them to install it for me. They said they couldn’t do it because the tire would have to be removed. They recommended that I go to Firestone Complete Auto Care.

The only reason why I didn’t really question it was because these cars are so complicated these days. I was brought up having to pump the gas pedal to start the car and a 8 track player.

Stupid me….Didn’t question anything. What was I possibly thinking? Is my arm 5 feet long to stretch that far?

So stupid me takes the van to Firestone and stupid me pays $58 to install a $19 bulb.

Instead of being honest and saying to me…”Oh no, you don’t have to remove the tire, it’s just 2 bolts”. Firestone rolls the red carpet out to my wallet.

Now the other bulb burned out. I did the repair myself. In less than 4 minutes, done.

Lastly, if you allow Firestone to perform a oil change or tire rotation and then one day, you decide to do it yourself…..good luck getting the oil plug & lug nuts off.

These guys use King Kong, a Kung Foo Grip and 50,000 pounds of torque with their handy air compressor tools that they DO NOT adjust accordingly. 🦍

I had to use a blow torch to loosen (2) oil plugs and a 3 foot pipe to give me more leverage with a now bent 4 way cross bar to get (44) lug nuts off of two vehicles.

What should have taken about (2) hours for oil changes and tire rotations….took me (5+) hours with a very sore back & shoulders.

Firestone put so much torque on a plastic oil filter housing…..that it cracked when being removed.

Firestone & Auto Zone work together.

Stupid me, lives and learns !!!

Do Not Work With Firestone As a woman alone in the car garage

As a woman alone in the car garage, it was a horrible experience they never followed up. They did not care that their mechanic, Luke Provolsop let me go with all the tires and balanced, and all the dashboard lights on. Do not go here. It's really a Chinese company and they do not care about us. Thanks.

Service failure

I brought my vehicle into a Firestone location in Plainfield, IL for tire replacement though a 3'rd party warranty. The warranty company needed pictures of the tires. The manager said that he was to busy and threw the keys back to me.

$650.00 Oil change at the location of…

$650.00 Oil change at the location of 10380 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO 80215. I took my car to have an oil change on 02/27/2023. They stated that my oil plug on my oil pan was stripped. How could that be, the oil would of been leaking. Their were no leaks prior to taking my car in to their shop. The mechanic showed me the so-called stripped hole of the oil pan plug. It did not look stripped to me. Then I approached the Manager at the time and suggested that they should tap it and retread it to a slightly bigger size. The mechanic stated that he could not do it. I said to him that it could be done. Then the manager stated that they could not find a tap big enough to perform the task. I knew this to be false. Then they stated that they would have to replace the oil pan itself. I stated that I could not afford it. Then the manager stated that they would wave the labor costs only. I told them to go ahead with the repair. Then four days later, the store manager, "Andrew Dubois" stated that they could not wave the labor costs but that he would deduct $100 from the cost of the oil pan. Then he suggest they tap it to retread the hole which would be temporary. So of course, I told him to go ahead with the replacement of the oil pan because I did not want a temporary fix. Then when Susan the manger came back on shift, she stated that they will need another part for the oil line. Then I called back the next day to see what the status of my car was. Susan then stated that they received the wrong oil pan and the mechanic won't be back in until Friday which was four days later. By this time, they have had my car for two weeks. I'm real frustrated by now. Then they stated the next day my car was ready. They also stated that my front brakes needed to be replaced. This was a total lie because I hired a mobile mechanic and he stated that I had at least 10,000 miles left on the front brakes. Also, they disconnected both of my sway bars and the nuts were removed to secure the sway bars. They also stated that I needed a new battery which was a total lie also. I removed the battery myself and charged it myself. It charged up fully to 12.9 volts and read good battery. What a rip-off!

Absolute HORRENDOUS job by Firestone

Absolute HORRENDOUS job by Firestone. False Advertisement. Told at shop 0% percent interest for 6 months if you pay off. Turns out there is a caveat...I paid $100 over the minimum and ZERO was taken off promotional balance!!! I call Customer Service was told only can pay promotional balance in last 2 months??? !!!! What the hell is this garbage??? No money over the min payment can be allocated toward the promotional balance. So basically the entire promotional balance can ONLY be paid within 60 days prior to expiration. Otherwise they get the entire interest that was accrued. Just another shady business practice. Won't be going to Firestone anymore !!

Different store, different experience

Different store, different service.
While I had a pretty bad experience with a millennial service associate recently in central Ohio - and I posted it - Jesse, the store manager here in Louisville, was awesome about rectifying the problem created by the store in Dublin. Jesse was polite and warm-spirited, and took care of the service problem created by the different store in a different state. I would say he went above and beyond.

They don’t care about the customer

I took my car and to firestones to fix my passenger ball joint and axle
And I paid 1,100 dollars and they finish the job I wen home and the next day I couldn’t drive the car and I took it back again to the Firestone and then they told me that nothing is wrong with the car they said they test drive it and stood with the car for few of days and so I took the car when I went to work I heard a clunk and the steering wheel I couldn’t control it I was so upset then I took it to another mechanic and he ask me who worked on my car and I told him Firestone and he said that I was so lucky that I didn’t had an accident because when they did the alignment they left all the screws loose I was so scared I’m never gonna bring my car to them and I spend a lot of money there I’m not going to recommend nobody the Firestone from wolcott road in Waterbury ct

Total waste of time to try and get an…

Total waste of time to try and get an appointment scheduled #543012 in Mobile Al, which is near the Mall. I've tried, as I have other locations in AL to do it online. UNLIKE other locations, I never heard from them about accepting the appointment. Other locations like Birmingham and Huntsville? Accepted within 10-15 minutes. NOT this one. Guess they really are doing what others say-too busy looking at their phones (ahem, Mike H) to tend to customers. Every time I go by there, the parking lot is full and it makes me wonder about the safety of the location-not sure I would leave my car there overnight when they are 'too busy' to get to it. Besides being too busy on his phone, you will find Mike H a tad bit snarky when dealing with people.

Firestone Ruined My car!!!

Re: Firestone - 7752 Denton Hwy., Watauta, TX.
Firestone said they work on Lexus cars all the time. I took my car to have a starter replaced. The car developed a whining noise after it got it back. I had it towed to Firestone. They said it was the power steering pump. Replaced it. Car continued to whine worse. Took it back to them. They said it was the alternator. Replaced it. Car whined worse. Finally, they said they didn't know what was wrong - asked us to take it to Lexus dealership to diagnose it - and they'd "make it right." Their words. Lexus said the after market power steering pump was installed incorrectly and leaking fluid badly,. The after market high pressure line was not installed correctly as it was routed and touching the upper intake support bracket. It had NONE of the support mounts transferred from the O.E. hose to support it! The after market alternator has a bearing noise at start up and will have to replaced. Firestone's solution: "We'll give your money back." What? After ruining the car? I contacted the Attorney General's office in Tennessee. Corporate's answer: "We'll give your money back." Run from Firestone! This is not the old "Firestone" that we used to know. If you read the numerous reviews online - these people have a pattern of ripping people off. I'm hoping this review saves others from the mistake I made by going here.

Poor Service, bad Tech and worse management

This Hickory Hollow location should not desire any star at all. The worst service I ever have. Maintenance for my car including axis and brake, after 3 week and I drive on highway on the back home. The car was cracking noice. Stay in Clarksville one night and Clarksville location find out the Hickory Hollow installation had not done correctly and I could be dried on highway if I am in middle somewhere and the car can not stop. Supposedly Hickory Hollow should call me what is everything happening and how to take care. They never did and not helping on what they did. Can not reach the manager all the time and employee can not get the manager as well. Poor service and worst management service center I never had.

Who would give zero or 1/2 stars if…

I would give zero or 1/2 stars if they were options. I have gone to firestone for simple oil changes several times now only to have my “low oil pressure” light ding shortly after having a oil change because the oil leaked out because they did not seal the plug and filter properly. This has now happened FOUR times and I will NEVER use them again! This past time my NO oil pressure light was on and vehicle almost stalled several times because most of the oil leaked out yet again. I’ve had no issues getting the oil changed in this vehicle anywhere else…I was lucky to be near a service center this last time or I would’ve needed been towed or worse, my engine could have blown…After bringing this to the store and regional managers attention, all they did was be arrogant and hang up on me and avoid talking to me so I called their corporate office and I have an open case with them and now the claims department rep and manager do not want to speak to me they only want to play email tag when it’s convenient for them. I am seriously considering calling NBC 10 Philadelphia on them and having them investigated the fact that I have no issues anywhere else prove this is a fire stone issue and nothing else! Incompetent and don’t give a damn about their customers! I suggest going somewhere else for your service needs

Run run and run from Firestone Auto Care

Run, run and run. Firestone Auto Care is not a good place to go for your car repairs.
Their specialty is tire not car repairs. They'll do and say anything to get their expensive tires and new brakes in your car and what ever
car trouble you had will remain unfix. I got a charge for $1,800 for tires I did not pick and not authorized and all my tires were good and they replaced them with the most expensive ones without giving a choice nor asked me and
my car battery had zero car battery issues they changed it to a new experience one again without asking me.
In 35 years of owning cars and maintaining cars from NY, Mass, FL, Firestone Auto Care in Somersworth New Hampshire
running by these two thugs a Greg Store Manager and a Patrick, District Manager are the worst experience I've had.
Greg is a jokester a liar a Con man he's so unreal they moved him to another location.
His boss Patrick is a pure narcissist a racist who tells you "All complaints comes to him and him alone there is no one above
him to help you and his words are final".
The Japanese that always care about their Brans and own Firestone Corp should fire these two.
I've reporting them to the New Hampshire State Attorney's General Office. Hopefully, other victims like myself can bring a law suits and help stop this nightmare.

I want to give zero stars on Firestone…

I want to give zero stars on Firestone complete Auto Care. I made an appointment but the store employee said 6 customers were ahead of me. Firestone's website allows booking your appointments for a particular time even if many customers already occupied the same time which causes a very long waiting time at the shop. The store posted a sign to get 5% off when you apply for the store credit card and also one employee from the store confirm the 5% discount so I applied it but I didn't receive the 5% discount. In-store prices are higher than online quoted prices but the store refused to honor the online quoted prices. Stay away from the Firestone store
