This is a fantastic site to get…
This is a fantastic site to get information and official records about family and I was able to get everything I needed for my project. Unfortunately I have signed up for a year when all I needed was a couple of months and can’t seem to get out of it. There are lots of tariff options be careful which one you choose. Personally a monthly charge with the option to cancel would have been preferable but I don’t believe that was a choice.

We do have various subscription options, for monthly we have both a month to month subscription, and a 12 month subscription paid monthly.
The 12 month subscription does work our cheaper month to month though it is a 12 month contract, cancelling this would incur a cancellation fee .

Sometime difficult to find what I'm searching for and no advice / help provided. i appears that English B,d,M records are not as efficient as Scottish and it have been helpfull if Findmypast would point out theses things

Started a 7 day free trial on the 29th April, which I had forgotten about as I was went on holiday on the 4th May and I needed to cancel by the 5th May, I remembered once billed and cancelled on the 6th May. Thinking that would be the end of it.. innocent mistake and I am now being charged 16.99 a month for 12 months , a subscription I haven’t used and do not use. Like many others have also stated it isn’t clear that you are tied into a contract and uses words such as “cancel any time” when submitting the “free trial” .. i have contacted find my past telling them I am struggling financially as it is, without paying for a service I do not need or want. Joanna wasn’t helpful or sympathetic and just stated I needed to pay £35 to get out of a contract I had been conned into. Scam company and DO NOT sign up to their free trial!

One of the subscription options we do offer to trial is our 12 month subscription paid monthly. This subscription is the cheapest option for monthly access though it is a 12 month subscription, with the cost spread over 12 months. This is advised prior to registering to the trial and it detailed within our terms and conditions.

It's difficult to use as too many hints…
It's difficult to use as too many hints don't relate to exact search information.Hints for people in newspapers doesnt have a link to go straight to article. In one case FMP added a link for 2nd wife who didn't exist. It didn't allow me to just click and delete. I had to delete child to get rid of 2nd wife, then re add child. Other family trees for same family often have wrong people, guessing it's due to accepting hints with out further research. I much prefer the way Ancestry site allows a seperate page for each family and photos can be added.
