The staff at Fictiv always goes above and beyond in order to make sure that the parts are exactly what we were looking for when they arrive. Aaron, Krista, Kyle and the entire staff at Fictiv are very knowledgeable and always there to answer any question and provide support. They are my go-to, one stop shop for most everything we do including low and high-volume machining, 3D printing and other tasks.

Worst customer service of any 3D printing company out there.

They advertise a material called Stereolithography (SLA) Accura ClearVue (Clear)

This is an automotive grade lens material. UV stable and non yellowing

We have order just over 30 lenses from them in that last 10 months. Almost all have yellowed now as you can see in the picture. Their answer. It’s over 30 days since order so there is no warranty. Don’t trust them to support anything. They are clearly running by son scam and using lesser grade materials than they advertise.

When I originally reached out for a quote, I communicated a hard deadline. I was continuously told to continue waiting for a quote from one of your manufacturing partners. I suggested multiple ways to hedge our bet and potentially save some time but I was again told to just wait. After very little communication, we were about 6 business days from our deadline and I decided to just place an order myself through the portal for non-painted parts. This would require us to work through the night for 3 days including the weekend to get the parts done in time. The parts ended up going to a vendor which was able to paint the parts anyways so had I just placed the order a week earlier as I suggested, we could have avoided the whole situation.

Once I placed the order, I received confirmation that we would receive parts on 10/17 (giving us 4 days to get the parts painted - which was reasonable). After not receiving the parts on 10/17, I called and was told that the order was delayed until 10/18. After not receiving parts on 10/18, I was told the order was delayed until 10/19. I was constantly calling Fictiv to get an update on what parts were completed and what parts were not so that we could start figuring out a backup plan to get parts made from another vendor. I was told the MP's printer broke and they would be working through the night to fix it. I again asked for the MP progress and was told you couldn't get that information and that they were closed for the night (even though I was just told they would be working through the night).

We eventually received the parts and had to work for 72 hours straight to get the parts finished and painted. Not only was I given poor guidance and advised to wait for a quote, but the communication between us and Fictiv, and Fictiv and the MP were absolutely horrible and prevented us from having a backup plan. After not sleeping for 3 nights, I dropped off the prototypes about 4 hours before our clients flight. On my drive home, I was experiencing severe chest pains so I drove myself to the ER and was immediately admitted to the OR because I was suffering from a heart attack at the age of 34 and 1/2 of my heart had shut down. After multiple procedures and a week in the hospital, I had finally stabilized and was discharged. I've had bad experiences with vendors in the past, but this was unlike anything i've ever experienced before. My biggest fear with companies like Fictiv came to fruition during this project as they showed little to no concern or sense of urgency towards the communicated deadline and blamed the lack of communication and information on the MP when I was begging for updates for days.

Prices substantially fluctuate and print quality is low and unpredictable depending on which vendor actually prints your parts

You used to be a better option than your rivals. Now Xometry and other small outfits are beating you on price, quality, and shipping.

Great communication, exceeded expectations.

The quotes were fast, the team let me know when I made a mistake, and were responsive.

I was originally hesitant to use Fictiv, believing that Hubs would be more competitively priced. However, after the Fictiv support team reached out, we did a like-for-like comparison – and with the same production lead times and shipping, Fictiv was actually much cheaper.

Their support went above and beyond, taking the time to explain the different finishes, and making sure I was set up for success ahead of my first CNC run.

I’ll be using Fictiv from now on. Thanks to the support team, and Anthony in particular!
