Everything perfect, clean ferry, staff excellent and high quality, rather disappointed with selection of foods available in comfort lounge, something hot but not chippy would have been nice. Hot rolls are tasty but basic
Last minute booking as Eurotunnel went down again. I didn't book with ferry to start with,but wouldn't make that mistake again. Good food, comfortable seats and plenty of space to walk around rather than in COFFIN. So much more pleasant, ok it takes longer but it's worth it.
Assistants are very compassonate.

Very expensive last minute booking. Was more than twice the price it was 24hrs before. Can’t see a valid reason for such a price increase.

Well, I tried all options. My need is a fixed Calais to Dover with flex return. Seems best to just book one way for now and DFDS came out cheapest. But the app is easy to use.
I had looked at the price of the ferry from Calais to Dover the day before I was going to travel and the price was approx £75. I had a 7 hour drive to Calais so I decided to wait until I was closer to Calais before booking to ensure there was no issue with the timings. When I booked the ferry on the day of the ferry (7 hours later from originally looking) the price had DOUBLED and I paid over £153!!!! Complete and utter joke, I've travelled with DFDS plenty of times up to now with fair travel prices however this will be the last time I travel with DFDS based on this cost experience.
