Scam. Charging without my knowledge

PLEASE CHECK YOUR 02 CHARGES
PLEASE CHECK YOUR 02 CHARGES. I have only just realised after a year that this scamming company have been taking £18.00 from my account each month for a subscription that i have never given my consent for. Apparently they send a link through a text message which i must of accidentally clicked on. I think this is disgusting and i will be filing a report to 02 and the ombudsman if the subscription is not cancelled and a refund for all those payments are not reimbursed back into my account immediately.
UPDATE- no response from ferdamia, so I Have reported them to the PSA authority’s. I will now be submitting a further complaint to the ombudsman services to put my claim through.
SCAMMERS
SCAMMERS! Charged me Money for a Service that I didn't sign up to!!! 02 should grow a set of balls - and shut these SCUMBAGS down!!
the most disgusting company I have ever…
the most disgusting company I have ever dealt with in my entire life - together with o2.
they took £150 from my direct debit bill with o2 saying I signed up for premium charge services - which I never did.
o2 has no interest whatsoever in resolving this. Ferdamia say they have not responsibility as I subscribed to the service willingly (of course I didn't). I requested all details of when I subscribed, clicked on link, etc and never received a response.
this led to losing the phone number that I had to 15 years (only way to get rid of premium charges), and cancelling contract with o2 that I loyally had for 5 years
Hideous scammers
Fraudulent, sneaky, rude customer service
Like everyone else on this review page, I have been scammed.
After a call received by Ferdamia querying this, they put words into my own mouth explaining that I signed up to this service and there is no other way about it. Like everyone else I did NOT sign up to this service knowingly, they however are refusing to refund me but have stopped the subscription, whatever that actually is. Did anyone else have this problem?
I will be calling O2 to escalate as they have taken a substantial amount of money from me.
Absolute fraud, I will be looking to put a complaint into financial ombudsman service if conservative ways do not resolve
Yes, a complete scam. Appalling.
A scam. What is more, 02 seem totally uninterested in doing anything about it. 02 customer service explained that I would have subscribed when I tried to CLOSE a pop-up. £4.50 per week thereafter.
If that's not fraud, I don't know what it.
Like everybody else on here scammed at…
Like everybody else on here scammed at the rate of £4.50 a week for something I have not subscribed too and have never received a txt or anything so totally clueless how they got my number! Will be following all advise to stop premium service and hope to get refund otherwise will try and cancel O2 contract as clearly they are implicated in this also.
Theft by Ferdamia knowingly permitted by O2
This company have stolen my money and O2 have not only allowed it to happen, but having received my complaint and pledged to refund and stop such fraudulent charges ever happening again, are still allowing it to happen one month later. After a further complaint I'm still told that I'll have to wait five days for their response. Once O2 have refunded the money THEY knowingly allowed Ferdamia to steal from me, I will be leaving them.
Scam company
Scamming people by exploiting the Payforit system and spoofing the users clicks on a pop up, unbelievable that they are allowed to do this.
Despicable company
Taking money from O2 accounts via unacceptable, slippery means affecting everyone including pensioners. Then making the unsubscribe number unable to send the stop message!
Their contact number is then a charge number - totally unacceptable!
18 pounds was stolen from my account …
18 pounds was stolen from my account and now I wait till my contract is finished in May and I am gonna leave O2 for not protecting me from that bogus company
I followed a clickbait on Facebook…
I followed a clickbait on Facebook about Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds only to be greeted by your pop-up which charged me £4.58 for wasting 45 minutes of my time getting a £5 refund from O2.
Credit to O2 for sorting it however, who on earth gave these people my number?! Absolute nonsense, I'm amazed this is legal.
You scamming scumbags
You scamming scumbags, sent me a bogus text that I never agreed to for a subscription service, charged me £4.50 and when I clicked stop didn't refund. Shocking you are in business. Luckily o2 banned the rates and refunded me £5 in credit.
Outrageous
Outrageous. I honestly don't know who this type of thing is allowed in the UK. This is theft. I was also charged £4.50 for a service that I never subscribed to.
02 and Ferdamia are absolute…
02 and Ferdamia are absolute gangsters!! Shocked 02 actually let their loyal customers get pickpocketed time and time again!! They must be making a small fortune out of robbing their customers! I will be checking any other networks who actually value their customers for future phone contracts and i would recommend everyone else to follow suit!!
Absolute fraudsters
Absolute fraudsters. The first I’d heard of them was to inform me that I’d subscribed to global cams for £4.50 a week. I didn’t click anything and was never taken to a page confirming my details. They are thieves and I hope they go bankrupt.
Same experience as people below
Same experience as people below. Unfortunately the first you hear of this 'company' is the SMS informing you that you have subscribed to their Global Cams video streaming. It could be videos of fluffy kittens for all I know - but I wouldn't - because I DIDN'T SUBSCRIBE!
They have basically helped themselves to my money.
O2 show a complete disinterest even when you mention the phrase: fraud. They even kindly put you through to Ferdamia's 'Customer Service' centre. Odd - I've never been put through to the helpline of someone who has stolen money from me before. Imagine your bank redirecting your call to an internet scammer's helpline?!
Little chance of getting money back - but then isn't that what they bank on?
Ferdamia and O2 have in fact stolen money from our bank accounts.
In common with all the people who have reviewed here before me, I have also been scammed a significant amount of money without my knowledge or consent. It's theft. O2 state on the BBC Watchdog website that all customers must go through a 2 step process to make such a purchase and will receive monthly texts to confirm their subscription. This is NOT the case. No such process has been gone through. I have done nothing to initiate this. I did not receive anything for my so called 'purchase' either. Both O2 and Ferdamia are in breach of the PSA Authority's code of practice. O2 say it's in their T&C but nowhere does it say money can be taken without your consent. You have to give your authority/consent first which all of us clearly have not done. You find out by having your monthly bill doubled with fake purchases. I will pursue this until I get my money back. I will not be fobbed off or give up. It has wasted a huge amount of time. Ferdamia ignore all requests and do not reply to email or contact forms sent in. O2 will not accept responsibility but without their cooperation, this scam could not happen. They have to take some responsibility for it and refund money taken through their mobile phone accounts. This is one of the worst scams and really shows these companies up for what they are. They're not even concerned about their reputation or customer service which is totally ineffective let alone their customers who they should value.
After a year of fighting this, I got a full refund in the end. It was a huge amount of work though, resisted at every step, and by no means easy. I hope this scam is no longer going on. Added February 2022.
Complete scam
Complete scam, should not be allowed to exist, but EE, O2 etc get a cut of the money so have no interest in stopping them
